Bedroom - eclectic bedroom idea in Dallas

The kitchen boasts a tall appliance garage. When open, it has easy access to their small appliances. When closed, it is a sophisticated contemporized accent to the kitchen. The built-in coffee maker and wine unit offers ease in entertaining. The large island, which sits four people, provides an inviting space to interact with family and friends. I added a “grab- and- go” cabinet with LED lights inside where each member of the family has their own pull out shelf for their personal items.

When the homeowner came to us with an idea to incorporate bunk beds into a large game room, we knew we could create something fun but truly functional. This custom bunk bed design sleeps 4 and feeds up to 6. There are two bunks up top accessible via hidden ladders and two pull out trundles below for two additional sleeping spaces. It is a big hit with the kids and the adults that come over to visit. Each upper bunk has a mini cubby with a USB charging station, light and even a place to stash their personal items.

This project was part of a major renovation with the closet being one of the largest square footage spaces in the design. The closet was designed from floor to ceiling with cabinets spanning the top and wrapping around the corners to connect the three sections of this closet. The narrow island is used to house ‘His’ shoes while ‘Her’ shoes are showcased on a wall of open shelving. Seventy-one drawers were needed to accomplish enough storage for personal items. The closet was constructed of White Melamine and traditional raised panel faces along with Extra-large crown molding and fascia buildup span and wrap around the entire closet. This closet is also graced with an ironing center cabinet, safe, tilt out hamper and pull out narrow tall cabinets to house necklaces and scarves, pull out mirror, belt racks, tie & belt butlers and valet rods. The punchy purple pillow and throw blanket add some vibrant color to the gray couch and neutral walls. The floor lamp provides ambient light in addition to the recessed fixtures above.

This elegant bathroom involved a fair amount of detailed planning to make many of it's features work out well. The vanity is extra deep at 24" which helped with accommodating drawers under the sink. Trying to fit is the vanity ledge detail along with the faucet, sink and healthy overhang left very little wiggle room for error but it all worked out beautifully and now that it's in place, no one would realize the effort that went into preparing and planning it. The tower in between the two vanity sinks houses the outlets making them much more discreet than if they were on the mirror wall. The original bath had a closed shower. My goal was to open this up allowing for much more natural light in the shower. The half wall also provides a generous recessed soap box. The wall opposite the half wall accommodates a wall to wall granite bench. The overall calming colors are soft green-blue, white and a bit of amber. The play on textures and sheens are quite elegant.
