Our client wanted to convert her craft room into a luxurious, private lounge that would isolate her from the noise and activity of her house. The 9 x 11 space needed to be conducive to relaxing, reading and watching television. Pineapple House mirrors an entire wall to expand the feeling in the room and help distribute the natural light. On that wall, they add a custom, shallow cabinet and house a flatscreen TV in the upper portion. Its lower portion looks like a fireplace, but it is not a working element -- only electronic candles provide illumination. Its purpose is to be an interesting and attractive focal point in the cozy space.

Around the corner in the kitchen, the stained rift sawn walnut is repeated on some of the cabinetry and the vent hood, again providing a warm contrast to the cool white pallet. The porcelain countertops and backsplash are a convincing substitute for Calacatta gold at a fraction of the price and much more durability, and the 2” mitered edge and waterfall sides add luxury. The glass stacks back into the wall and allows seamless access to the home’s stunning outdoor kitchen, dining and lounge.

The master bedroom is a symphony of textures and patterns with its horizontal banded walls, hexagonal ceiling design, and furnishings that include a sunburst inlaid bone chest, star bamboo silk rug and quatrefoil sheers. A Bonisolli Photography

The wall of drapery behind the bed helps soften the feel of the space and helps buffer sound. The bench in the room offers additional storage as well as a place to sit.

A water-jet marble mosaic behind kitchen range adds bold pattern while remaining monochromatic. Light grey grass cloth wraps the kitchen walls to add texture. Fabric taupe or cream shades add another layer of warmth and assist with acoustics and privacy.

Pineapples are a symbol of hospitality and luxury. Printed on a gorgeous golden foil, these pineapple decals bring a happy flair to your walls. Arrange them into a pattern for a wallpaper-like effect, or stick them to any smooth flat surface to add a pop of fun to your stuff.

A large, contemporary painting in the poker room helps set a fun tone in the space. The inviting room welcomes players to the round table as it blends modern elements with traditional architecture.

This cozy bedroom has the same beamed, vaulted ceiling as the central gathering area, but it is stained to impart a cozier feel. A sofa is placed at the foot of the bed and faces two plaid club chairs, which creates an inviting sitting area there. The fireplace in the bedroom is elevated for viewing from the bed, as well as from the kitchen, so when you look from the kitchen island into the master, you see the fabulous stonework and fire.
