While it was under construction, Pineapple House added the mezzanine to this industrial space so the owners could enjoy the views from both their southern and western 24' high arched windows. It increased the square footage of the space without changing the footprint.

There is abundant storage in this kitchen. It offers a wall of decorative cabinetry and two islands. The wall of cabinets include a door into a large walk-in pantry located behind the cabinetry’s façade, which is a fun surprise for visitors. Antique, mirrored glass-door cabinets flank the kitchen hood and a pop-up television raises from front island’s quartzite countertop when the cook or guests want to engage. In this photo, the vase and bowl are covering the tv's quartzite cover.

The goal of Pineapple House designers was to stay within existing footprint while improving the look, storage capabilities and functionality of the master bath. Along the right wall, they replace the existing tub with a freestanding Roman soaking tub. Glass shower walls lets natural light illuminate the formerly dark, enclosed corner shower. Along the left wall, a new double-sink vanity has hidden storage in tall, slender doors that are configured to mimic columns. The central section of the long vanity has a make-up drawer and more storage behind the mirror. Along the back wall, a custom unit houses a television that intentionally blends into the deep coloration of the millwork. An under counter refrigerator is located in the lower left portion of unit.

For this condo renovation, Pineapple House handled the decor and all the interior architecture. This included designing every wall and ceiling -- beams, coffers, drapery pockets -- and determining all floor and tile patterns. Pineapple House included energy efficient lighting, as well as integrated linear heating and air vents. This view shows the new single room that resulted after designers removed the sliding glass doors and wall to the home's shallow porch. This significantly improves the feel of the room.

This 5 BR, 5.5 BA residence was conceived, built and decorated within six months. Designed for use by multiple parties during simultaneous vacations and/or golf retreats, it offers five master suites, all with king-size beds, plus double vanities in private baths. Fabrics used are highly durable, like indoor/outdoor fabrics and leather. Sliding glass doors in the primary gathering area stay open when the weather allows.

From the front yard, can look into living room, through house, over the pool, to water/inlet behind it. Native Florida limestone runs from the exterior to the interior, and serves as a wonderful accent wall. Since this is a new construction, the architect and Pineapple House designers were about to define the contiguous Living/Dining/Kitchen areas using furniture and custom ceilings.

A built-in bookcase on the right and a linear storage unit on the left were custom-designed for the niches flanking fireplace. The fireplace surround is accented with taupe woven, fabric-like wall covering. Acoustics from exposed hardwood floors are managed via upholstered furniture & window treatments.

In the kitchen, the bottom shelf of the island organizes the dog bowls. Designers add a pet barrier made of tempered glass to the hall door. It restricts their movement but allows them to look into other areas of the house.

Inspiration for a tropical 3/4 beige tile dark wood floor and brown floor alcove shower remodel in Miami with open cabinets, a two-piece toilet, brown walls, a console sink and white countertops

The white central island (usually the focal point of the space), completes the perfect balance of white against the blue fridge and pineapple backsplash tile. We almost feel like we’d float away to a tropical island while cooking in this kitchen!

The Florida residence is a winter home, not a beach house, and the clients requested it (1) not look like typical Florida retreat and (2) be conducive to entertaining. To that end, all the primary living areas are open to each other -- and the outdoors.
