There are no bathrooms anywhere near this corner of the home, so we had to break-up the slab and tunnel under the foundation wall to run a new sewer line that met the existing main sewer in the front yard. Next we ran hot and cold water lines overhead through the attic from a nearby water heater closet, insulating the lines in 1-1/2" thick commercial fiberglass pipe insulation. The cabinets were designed to match the existing millwork, and built by Rick Prat of Master's Builders Inc. of El Paso. Photo by ProBilt Construction LLC.

This repiping project in Tarzana replaced the home's existing water supply lines with a new plumbing system routed throughout the residence. Access to the original piping required opening sections of drywall in multiple wall and ceiling areas before the new lines were installed and pressure tested. With the plumbing work complete, each access opening was patched to restore the affected surfaces and prepare them for finishing. The project combined a full plumbing system replacement with coordinated wall and ceiling restoration under a single scope of work.

Inspiration for a mid-sized contemporary 3/4 ceramic tile and beige floor bathroom remodel in Houston with raised-panel cabinets, dark wood cabinets, a one-piece toilet, beige walls, an undermount sink and quartzite countertops

Our clients desperately needed a new master bathroom that had a better function, flow and aesthetic. Incorporating all of the family’s needs and desires, Progressive Design Build designed a new layout that accomplished all of their goals.
We started by removing the large Jacuzzi tub and tub deck and moving the vanity to the old shower location, making room for a new walk-in shower and heated towel bar that the owners wanted.
During demolition, a unique challenge presented itself. We found a vent pipe in the middle of the new vanity cabinet location, which wasn’t part of the original building drawings. Due to its location in a high-rise condo, which also serviced some of the floors below, we couldn’t move the pipe very far.
Through creative planning meetings and design, as well as innovative cabinetry solutions, we were able to work around the pipe.
The finishes on the project were much more contemporary giving the new master bathroom a subtle sophistication and understated elegance. The cabinets were designed with straight, simple lines and they were custom built with a deep, rich brown finish. The richness of the dark cabinetry juxtaposed with the elegance of the white porcelain tile floor and white Quartzite countertop, contributed to the room’s sophistication and the modern look that the clients desired.
In the end, all project goals were achieved!

The pendant light fixtures were customized with black mesh metal shades which encompass an Edison light bulb providing an industrial design element tying in with the "iron pipe" and black pipe shelving unit.
The property is a 700 square foot condo. The homeowner's goal was to have his 40+ year old unit transformed into a brand new space. To accomplish this, we gutted the entire unit; we replaced the popcorn ceiling with new drywall, replaced the old flooring with maple engineered wood flooring, removed the mirrored walls and painted the drywall a soothing neutral gray, and removed the kitchen walls and bulkheads to create an open concept. The bathroom and kitchen were totally renovated as well.
Additions include: Handsome crown moulding and custom baseboards, Sherwin Williams wall, ceiling and trim paint (the ceiling is NOT white), LED recessed light fixtures, custom island pendants, Quartz countertops, custom dining chandelier, custom shelving over the kitchen sink and custom "iron pipe" designed to house existing telephone wires (building restricted the removal of existing phone line).

Project Description:
Our company was contracted to do a master plan for the family who was in desperate need of a rear yard renovation. The existing lawn area remained saturated throughout most of the year and the runoff from the neighboring property ran across their back yard, down the side of their property and all the way to the sidewalk in front of their house. The water was so intense that it had begun to cut through the back yard and erode the soil across the sidewalk and into the nearby storm drain.
By identifying these drainage problems and discussing solutions with the homeowner, we were able to design and create the aesthetically pleasing and sustainable solution of a rain garden. The goal was to slow down storm water runoff, and catch pollution and sediment by creating a rain garden that acts as a filter prior to entering the storm drain, while enhancing the aesthetics of the property.
The rain garden created was a shallow depression, 12 - 16" deep that collects rainfall runoff from all downspouts of the home and water collected into perforated pipes underneath the lawn area. The perforated pipe begins at the highest elevation in the yard and ends in the rain garden, the new lowest elevation that has been excavated down to an 8" depth. The perforated pipe captures the runoff water and allows the water to seep slowly back into the
ground as it runs across the property and into the garden. The garden was lined with a geotextile filter fabric to aide in removing contaminants from the water, prevent migration of the stone in to the soil, and minimalize maintenance.
A large variety of plant material was chosen, focusing mainly on native wetland species for their tolerance of our local soil types, moisture conditions and
the habitat they provide for wildlife. The garden was abundant with native wildlife and was a sustainable ecosystem for birds and butterflies upon completion of the project.
After planting, we arranged decorative stone throughout the garden to slow the flow of water and help prevent erosion. The combination of vegetative and stone surfaces provides temporary storage for runoff before the water either evaporates or infiltrates the soil.
The surrounding beds throughout the property were also all amended with compost and replanted with plants that work in harmony with the rain garden. The front, side, and rear yards are a beautiful display of colors that bloom throughout the seasons and the plants throughout the entire property provide food and shelter for native wildlife.
The rear yard that was once a muddy play space for the kids is now a dry lawn space that can be utilized by the family and their neighbors. This multi functional garden has become the focal point of the residence.
