Patio Roller Shades and Patio Screen Shades. Hunter Douglas Designer Roller Shades have hundreds of fabric choices, patterns and colors and are good ideas used for bedrooms, living rooms, bathrooms where blackout or privacy is needed. Designer Screen Shades / Solar Shades are excellent for UV protection while maintaining a view to the outdoors. Sturdy and easy to clean, perfect patio solar roller blind for large windows, patio or sunroom. Alustra Screen Shades and Alustra Roller Shades have luxury fabric selections with unique features. What is the difference between a roller shade and a screen / solar shade? Simply a roller shade or roller blind will be defined by its OPACITY. Opacity generally ranges from 1 to 5, with 5 being a complete blackout shade or blind and one letting in some light. A patterned roller shade with a 1 opacity will most likely have the pattern visible to the outside. A screen shade is defined by its OPENNESS FACTOR of anywhere from 1% to 15%. An Openness factor of 7% means that the roller shade fabric will block 93% of the UV rays. Perfect for large windows, sunrooms and patios where you want to block the sun, but not the view. Motorized roller shades available. Electric or battery operated window shades option. Automatic blinds can be controlled from you smart phone or tablet.

This space defines the hub of the garden, I placed it in the corner so it is central to the ADU and the dining area/access from the house. The BBQ is now part of the social space. The raised planter and walls all are functions of design but also reflect my solution for the many grading levels on the neighboring perimeter spaces as well as grading within the former space and act to create floating bench and BBQ moments I programmed in. The concrete plinth is for extra seating/food or plant displays.

This project features a horizontal cedar screening fence around the HVAC units with removable panels for maintenance access, a raised planter bed along the edge with built-in vent wells around the crawl space vents, and a large patio. The patio features Techo-Bloc Borealis in a herringbone weave, Belgard Cambridge Cobble in a circle kit, and Appalachian Cambridge Cobble for a border. We've also used black diamond polymeric sand in the joints to give it the appearance of a void space in between the Borealis slabs to create a look of a stone deck.

Our client, Charles, envisioned a festive space for everyday use as well as larger parties, and through our design and attention to detail, we brought his vision to life and exceeded his expectations. The Campiello is a continuation and reincarnation of last summer’s party pavilion which abarnai constructed to cover and compliment the custom built IL-1beta table, a personalized birthday gift and centerpiece for the big celebration. The fresh new design includes; cedar timbers, Roman shades and retractable vertical shades, a patio extension, exquisite lighting, and custom trellises.

Wanting to create an outdoor extension of the loft, the patio is fun, functional and has an organic feel with its natural elements such as the box planters, privacy screens and a fire pit/coffee table combo. The sofa replicates the look of an indoor piece but is rated for outdoor use and can withstand weather elements.

This interdisciplinary project was a delight to collaborate with colleagues in architecture, interior design, and the client to build a luxury dream home landscape for this growing family. We focused on creating an interconnection between indoor and outdoors through a cohesive design. This project became a stately home that now sits proudly amongst other historical architectural gems in the neighborhood.
Our team designed multiple terraces and outdoor living spaces, including a roof deck with porcelain tiles, custom planters, privacy screening, and fire features. An aluminum pergola system with lights and heaters was added to create an outdoor dining space to the terrace adjacent to the kitchen and primary living room. To top it all off, we added an irrigation system to the entire property to keep the landscape looking green and lush year-round.
