Ocean Club King-Size Paradise Point Bed With Wood Framed Woven Rattan Panel

The Paradise Point Bed is sure to make a statement in any master suite. This platform bed features a clean geometric pattern that frames the woven rattan panel on the headboard and then wraps around the modern platform base. While the wood is warm and inviting in the Bali sun-drenched sienna color, the parsons leg bases finished in a rich walnut creates visual appeal for the bed head to toe.

Believe it or not, this award-winning home began as a speculative project. Typically speculative projects involve a rather generic design that would appeal to many in a style that might be loved by the masses. But the project’s developer loved modern architecture and his personal residence was the first project designed by architect C.P. Drewett when Drewett Works launched in 2001. Together, the architect and developer envisioned a fictitious art collector who would one day purchase this stunning piece of desert modern architecture to showcase their magnificent collection. The primary views from the site were southwest. Therefore, protecting the interior spaces from the southwest sun while making the primary views available was the greatest challenge. The views were very calculated and carefully managed. Every room needed to not only capture the vistas of the surrounding desert, but also provide viewing spaces for the potential collection to be housed within its walls. The core of the material palette is utilitarian including exposed masonry and locally quarried cantera stone. An organic nature was added to the project through millwork selections including walnut and red gum veneers. The eventual owners saw immediately that this could indeed become a home for them as well as their magnificent collection, of which pieces are loaned out to museums around the world. Their decision to purchase the home was based on the dimensions of one particular wall in the dining room which was EXACTLY large enough for one particular painting not yet displayed due to its size. This beautiful home for a family of four got a refreshing new design, making it a true reflection of the homeowners' personalities. The living room was designed to look bright and spacious with a stunning custom white oak coffee table, stylish swivel chairs, and a comfortable pale peach sofa. An antique bejeweled snake light creates an attractive focal point encouraging fun conversations in the living room. In the kitchen, we upgraded the countertops and added a beautiful backsplash, and the dining area was painted a soothing sage green adding color and character to the space. One of the kids' bedrooms got a unique platform bed with a study and storage area below it. The second bedroom was designed with a custom day bed with stylish tassels and a beautiful bulletin board wall with a custom neon light for the young occupant to decorate at will. The guest room, with its earthy tones and textures, has a lovely "California casual" appeal, while the primary bedroom was designed like a haven for relaxation with black-out curtains, a statement chain link chandelier, and a beautiful custom bed. In the primary bath, we added a huge mirror, custom white oak cabinetry, and brass fixtures, creating a luxurious retreat! ---Project designed by Sara Barney’s Austin interior design studio BANDD DESIGN. The design of the Contour bed is quite remarkable: a beautiful bed has been fashioned around several basic design elements that we hear customers request over and over again: first, every sharp corner has been replaced with space efficient and visually appealing contours from which the bed takes its name. Second, so that there will be no more toe-stubbing, and to stay in keeping with the contour motif from the headboard and mattress base, the bed legs have been recessed deep inside the frame as solid contoured wood beams following the shape of basic bed legs downward but have been unified horizontally. Thirdly, the mattress sets inside the bed base 4" so that it's still easy to change the sheets while visually the mattress will not block the beautiful solid wood beveled headboard. And lastly, this bed truly is current in its design proportions: it is neither too low to the floor like too many modern styled beds nor is it too high like the very traditional style beds. Custom of the Flat Water plan (29882) If you are looking for a lake home with plenty of outdoor space, look no further than the Flat Water plan. The exterior of the house has a unique curb appeal with its combination of shake siding, wood beams, and large windows. The split garage immediately sets this home apart from the others.
