The owners of this 1980’s built-home wanted to create a completely new look for their outdated master bath and turned to Renovisions for design and build services. Having perused Renovisions website, they were confident they made the right choice to help them transform their ordinary space into something truly extraordinary. The design team created several configurations for the homeowners review until they nailed down one particular design that would create that wow factor.
The main challenges were creating an open, spacious feel and maximizing natural light and ventilation with plenty of storage and customizations. The addition of a second window allows ample light into the space throughout the day along with the recessed and sconce lights which were perfectly placed. Storage, which was a key element of this design, includes two separate vanity cabinets (his and hers) with plenty of space for needed toiletries, a matching framed medicine cabinet for her and a custom built cubby for him. Built on site was a linen closet with both roll out and stationary shelves for towels and shower supplies. The spacious walk-in, all tiled shower boasts ‘no door’ access with lineal drain, traditional fixed and hand-held shower heads and a rounded shower seat. Polished black granite was used inside the cubby and topping both the threshold and seat creating a nice contrast to and tying in with the floor. The decorative grab bar ensures safety for these homeowners while showering. The heated floors added throughout the bath take the edge off when stepping out of the warm shower and are conveniently operated by a 24 hour programmable thermostat. Classic white subway tile and chair rail trims adorne all walls and tie in nicely to each vanity station. Carrera look quartz was the perfect choice for countertops creating a clean fresh look. Stunning marble basket-weave mosaic floor tile set the stage in this exquisite bath as the beautiful white painted cabinetry softened the overall feel of the space.
These homeowners are not saving spa retreats for once-a-year vacations anymore, they now enjoy a relaxing spa-like shower experience every day in their own home!

This European kitchen has several different areas and functions. Each area has its own specific details but are tied together with distinctive farmhouse feel, created by combining medium wood and white cabinetry, different styles of cabinetry, mixed metals, warm, earth toned tile floors, blue granite countertops and a subtle blue and white backsplash. The hand-hammered copper counter on the peninsula ties in with the hammered copper farmhouse sink. The blue azul granite countertops have a deep layer of texture and beautifully play off the blue and white Italian tile backsplash and accent wall. The high gloss black hood was custom-made and has chrome banding. The French Lacanche stove has soft gold controls. This kitchen also has radiant heat under its earth toned limestone floors. A special feature of this kitchen is the wood burning stove. Part of the original 1904 house, we repainted it and set it on a platform. We made the platform a cohesive part of the space defining wall by using a herringbone pattern trim, fluted porcelain tile and crown moulding with roping. The office area’s built in desk and cabinets provide a convenient work and storage space. Topping the room off is a coffered ceiling.
In this classic English Tudor home located in Penn Valley, PA, we renovated the kitchen, mudroom, deck, patio, and the exterior walkways and driveway. The European kitchen features high end finishes and appliances, and heated floors for year-round comfort! The outdoor areas are spacious and inviting. The open trellis over the hot tub provides just the right amount of shelter. These clients were referred to us by their architect, and we had a great time working with them to mix classic European styles in with contemporary, current spaces.

This patio was looking tired with lots of weeds. We cleaned it and installed polymeric sand to help prevent weeds. It fills the joints with a binder, so the weeds do not come back for a long time. Landforms Inc.

Taragano Design & Build completed this two story rear addition in
San Francisco, California.
On a narrow urban lot there is no direction to build but up and
back, and the constraint that governs everything is the rear yard
setback. The addition was held to the line, which fixed the
footprint before any interior planning began. Every square foot
inside came from stacking rather than spreading.
That created the real problem, which is access. Adding upstairs
living space on a lot this size means the upper floor has no way
out to the yard, and in a city where outdoor space is scarce, an
upper floor that cannot reach the ground wastes the yard it sits
above. The exterior stair answers that. It runs down the property
line where it takes nothing from the usable patio, and it gives the
upper floor its own direct route out.
The deck was kept deliberately small. A larger platform would have
shaded the patio below and turned the ground level into a covered
service area rather than a place anyone would sit. Holding it to a
landing keeps daylight on the concrete for most of the day, which
is what makes the lower level the primary outdoor room.
The two levels then read as one exterior. Continuous siding and
matching trim across old and new means the addition does not
announce itself as an addition, which on a rear elevation this
visible from neighboring properties matters more than it would on a
detached lot.

The old-world look of a cobble stone patio, walkway, or driveway is the perfect choice to compliment architecture with old European or early American style. Cobble stone paver has a open spacer joint design, making it ideal for use in permeable paver applications. Photo: Barkman Concrete Ltd.

This particular picture exemplifies the picture framing on the bench.
This customer wanted their deck to have seating around the edge. We built their deck and deck seating out of AZEK composite decking in Slate Grey. It features a double picture frame on the deck and single picture frame on the bench seating. This will be a lovely space for the customer to enjoy the outdoors in low maintenance on the comfort.
