Inspiration for a large contemporary backyard stone and custom-shaped water slide remodel in New York

This Dallas area family desired to have a small scale grotto similar to the caves found in Italy and France in addition to a luxury pool and fire pit patio area to all harmonize with their newly built home. A challenge One Specialty gladly took on! In addition to the grotto and slide made of 1x1 blue porcelain tiles, we added a stone beach entry to the custom swimming pool design which complements the custom stepping stones in the poolside area. Note the artificial turf used between these poolside stepping stones to lower water usage and for easy maintenance. Aquatic Artists designed and built this award-winning natural water feature into a hill in Churchville, MD. We crafted a large pool grotto that is 7’ high with multiple natural stone waterfalls that cascade into this gunite pool. One of the waterfalls splits into two streams and one of the streams cascades over the pool grotto. We built the other stream of this waterfall to cascade into the spa and designed it so the spa is a waterfall that cascades into the pool. We also installed an ultimate custom pool slide manufactured by Dolphin into this water feature and built natural stone steps that lead up to the slide. In addition, another waterfall on the other side of the pool slide has a stream that also cascades into the pool. Lastly, we placed veneer stone around the face of the spa and installed planting beds throughout this water feature to tie the natural look all together.

Request Free Quote This outdoor living space in Barrington Hills, IL has it all. The swimming pool measures 1,520 square feet, and is 3'6" to 10'0" deep. The hot tub measures 7'0" x 13'0" and is equipped with 16 hydrotherapy heads. Both pool and spa have colored LED lights. The spa has an automatic cover with stone lid system. Adjacent to the hot tub is a sunken bar with kitchen and grill, covered with a thatch palapa. The sunken bar doubles as a serving area for the 5 underwater bar stools within the pool. There is a sunshelf in the shallow area of the pool measuring 125 square feet that has 5 LED lit bubbler water features. There are two sets of shallow end steps attached to the sunshelf. The custom slide is constructed on a stacked stone structure which provides a large stone step system for entry. The pool and hot tub coping is Valders Wisconsin Limestone in Buff color, Sandblast finish with a modified squared edge. The pool has an in-floor automatic cleaning system. The interior surface is French Gray exposed aggregate finish. The pool is also equipped with Volleyball and Basketball systems.
