To provide a large gathering space for this modern family and to facilitate the flow of movement throughout their house, Morpurgo Architects designed additions that are contextually compatible with our clients’ landmark Dutch Colonial stone home. Although we were constrained by the typography of a hill behind the house, we succeeded in integrating with the original structure a centrally located family room with connections to three levels of activity, including the kitchen, the second-floor bedrooms and the new garage. An exterior balcony on the second floor punctuates the facade overlooking the courtyard, ideally positioned to capture views of the setting sun. High sloped ceilings follow the profile that distinguishes the Dutch Colonial roof lines. The creation of a two-story space allowed us to design large windows over pairs of doors that frame vistas of the tree line and highlight the impressive hill. In granting approval to this notable home, the Borough’s Landmark Commission unanimously endorsed Morpurgo Architects’ sensitive placement and integration of the additions to this historic structure.

Despite Canada's far from hot weather, its heart is a warm one. It has both the cultural mark of French elegance and of English strictness. These elements form the idea of Canadian design. In terms of Canadian furniture, you'll find warmth, simplicity and colors of the earth as the main ones. You'll find clean shapes that give a modern, however not a futuristic feel. It's modest furniture, but definitely not bland futniture. It's furniture with a heart and a personality. This exactly what our Tuscan collection is like. It certainly makes a positive impression. Especially when you sit down on one of our chairs or sofas and get to melt in the comfort they offer you. Their durable construction makes them most fit for patios, although they would certainly look beautiful indoors, too. The Tuscan collection is made of half-round woven synthetic rattan and rustproof welded aluminum, which are simply the best materials available on the patio furniture market. Our cushions are made with thick high denstity foam and are covered with Sunbrella fabric. They're all weather suitable and are very resistant. They come in two colors: spectrum mushroom and cast silver.

Also known as Seabreeze, this award-winning custom home, in collaboration with Andrea Burrell Design, has been featured in the Spring 2020 edition of Boulevard Magazine. Our Genoa Bay Custom Home sits on a beautiful oceanfront lot in Maple Bay. The house is positioned high atop a steep slope and involved careful tree clearing and excavation. With three bedrooms and two full bathrooms and a powder room for a total of 2,278 square feet, this well-designed home offers plenty of space. Interior Design was completed by Andrea Burrell Design, and includes many unique features. The hidden pantry and fridge, ship-lap styling, hallway closet for the master bedroom, and reclaimed vanity are all very impressive. But what can’t be beat are the ocean views from the three-tiered deck. Photos By: Luc Cardinal Photos By: Luc Cardinal

This is the ultimate In-Home Lounge for chilling out in impressive style. The look is 'Current' utilizing our hi-tech shop machinery to mill the white satin painted wavy relief panels in 2 different scales. I wanted to create an upbeat atmosphere with the well balanced pattern mixed with Espresso stained Rift Cut Oak and polished glass. The peninsula bar houses extra storage as well as the Led lite hip-wall for the seating. Two TV's to give a "Night out" feel for good energy but not overpowering in size. For projects of this caliber Perlick stainless beer dispenser and appliances was the natural choice accented by a Kohler trough sink and Contemporary faucet. For added convenience there are 2 interior liquor drawers to replenish inventory. To help frame the space some paneling with subtle relief and up-lite LED display shelves. The bar stools where meant to be simple and as transparent as possible to not clutter the design.

A remarkable one-story 3,290 square feet residence that stands apart from the world of builder-grade spec homes. The impressive entrance, a custom ten-foot-tall architectural pivot door acts as the inviting focal point of the property, which leads you into the open plan living-dining-kitchen behind it. The great room features Herman Miller Nelson pendants and rich terrazzo-like porcelain tile floors flowing seamlessly to a spacious courtyard with a 50-foot cantilevered veranda, a luxurious pool and spa, outdoor kitchen and grill, and pool bath and outdoor shower--ideal for entertaining or unwinding at home. Large clerestory windows above Western sliding glass doors enhance the indoor-outdoor experience. A strategically positioned wet bar, complete with a secondary sink, beverage fridge, and wall-mounted oven and microwave, is surrounded by walnut cabinetry to create a convenient butler's pantry effect near the garage entrance for easy unloading. The spacious two-car garage accommodates large vehicles with space leftover. The U-shaped floor plan comprises two wings: one housing a media room and a spacious primary suite with a secondary laundry, while the other includes a utility room, ample closets, two bathrooms, and three generously sized bedrooms. Level 5 wall board, hidden hinges, flush baseboards, trimless door jambs, and two 16-SEER variable speed HVACs with combustion heat, deliver a one-of-a-kind offering in Central Austin.
