A chrome and glass pendant light sets the stage in the stepped entry landing. A bent glass console table and a custom wall clock now sit where a bedroom doorway was eliminated. Dated wainscot was removed and an extra step added to enhance the landing’s practicality. Sleek leather and chrome dining chairs help to redefine the clients’ traditional stone dining table, while a pair of black glass chests offer sophisticated storage. A custom drop ceiling was constructed to define the seating arrangement and conceal electrical wires for a new chrome and crystal chandelier and warm LED accent lights at the heads of the table.

Pauline Hartogh of Wetherly’s Interiors was endowed with the task to create a transitional home for a family of four that melded modern luxury with functionality. She divided the home into three residential wings, all of which are structured in clean, contemporary lines. The heart of the home was created by connecting the indoors to the outdoors using floor-to-ceiling glass, which set an open focus for easy entertainment.
