We turned this 1950's kitchen into a marvelous modern styled kitchen. This beautiful kitchen has 10 LED recessed lights, a beautiful industrial farmhouse pendant above the island, new vinyl flooring, a black quartz countertop, and a white porcelain sink. We installed brand new white shaker cabinets with black hardware accents, white subway tiles that cover the entire wall, and wood floating shelves. The brand new appliances are precisely built-in the cabinets of the kitchen.
We also updated the connecting living room with new recessed lights, vinyl flooring, new paint, wall removal, and updated the fireplace. Together both spaces connect with plenty of open space to walk into the kitchen and dining room.

As a kitchen design firm, we love transforming spaces to fit our clients’ styles and needs. Plus, it makes our job that much easier when a client knows precisely what they want, and how they want it. That’s just the case for this kitchen! We began with discussing layout and functionality, new appliances, and new color palette. The original kitchen was dark with deep orange tones in both the flooring and cabinetry, making for a very orange space. It was also not very functional and was in need of some much needed TLC. So, working with the design, we were able to give this space a brand new look and much better functionality for a growing family. So, check out what the space looked like before (below) and read on to learn about what we did!
Cabinetry
With this particular project we did a combination of refinishing and installing of new cabinetry. We refinished the perimeter cabinetry with white paint, and the island received new cabinetry from WWWoods, in a Heritage door style, and a finish of Dovetail Gray.
Countertops
The countertops feature s 3cm a White Cliff Cambria Quartz on perimeter kitchen countertops, and a 3cm Brittanicca Cambria Quartz on the island. If you ask us, it’s a beautiful combination!
Tile
The backsplash includes a Daltile 3×6 Rittenhouse Square in Desert Gray as the main tile, a Daltile 1 x 1 random Carrara White Marble (M701) in picture frame behind sink, and lastly, a Daltile Carrera White Polished ¾”x12 Pencil liner to create picture frame. For flooring, in a herringbone pattern, we have a 8×32 Aequa Cirrus from Arizona Tile.
Fixtures
From Blanco, we have a Quartus Undermount super single Bowl sink, and a Culina Semi-Pro in Satin Nickel.

Design: Poul Henningsen

The client purchased a mature, small, NAPA Valley vineyard to be their home and for personal enjoyment.
Once they began converting their new "hobby" grapes into wine, they soon realized they needed a place to "age" their labors and a place to then enjoy them. They decided to design such a place within the confines of their home where they could entertain family and friends.
The structure was modified to allow storage of more than 200 individual bottles, cases, and magnum size bottles. A cask room was added as was a well-appointed tasting room. The storage area is separated from the tasting and social area by a tempered glass doors and windows. The space to be converted was a challenge. No surface was plumb or level, therefore, the remodel involved interior walls, new floors and ceilings.
Until these issues were addressed, the beautiful cabinet work, and a complete temperature and humidity control system to store, maintain, and enjoy the wine could not be started. The floors had to be floated out and chases with faux finishes provided for HVAC and electrical. Lighting in the tasting room is provided by a series of recessed and puck lights.
The bar/counter area is highlighted by a custom, Tiffany style chandelier. Enough space was left in front of the bar to accommodate two serving tables for food and snacks, with plenty of room to move about the space. Discreetly hidden behind the bar is a large capacity cooler that can chill several bottles at once.
The bar is capped with eight lineal feet of Calcutta Gold Marble and sports a brass foot rail. The bar has grape panels between Acanthus Corbels and the bottle storage cabinet areas are a unique blend of Acanthus overlays under precisely cut and mitered grape design crown molding over and around a cleverly designed bottle storage system.
Traffic flow is achieved through the multiple points of entry through any of three pairs of 6' custom double doors which, when weather permitting, can remain open while entertaining. The host and hostess can attend food and beverage service from behind and around the bar through a separate doorway.
The temperature controlled cask storage area is large enough for the clients' current needs, and can accommodate a larger number of casks should the need arise.
The floor and walls of the cask room are designed for easy maintenance.. Both rooms are delightfully decorated with earthen tone faux finishes on walls, ceilings and floors reminiscent of a nonspecific European wine making region.
This effect is extended to the soffits in the tasting room. A unique wine racking system is easily stored, providing even greater ability to maintain and move about the storage area.

Debbie and Art craved an upgrade for their outdated kitchen space. The color palette was a mix of vintage shades, reminiscent of the early 90s Arizona style. Earthy browns dominated the space, creating a warm but somewhat dated ambiance.
Their kitchen was transformed into a modern, bright, and minimalist haven. The renovation began with the removal of the old cabinets, countertops, backsplash, and lighting, paving the way for a contemporary redesign.
The Waypoint 530 Painted Vanilla cabinets instantly brightened the space. Their sleek design and light color brought an airy and spacious feel. Jeffery Alexander Milan handles added a touch of elegance and modern sophistication.
A new kitchen island became the centerpiece of the space. Built with Waypoint 530 Latte cabinets and topped with Berwyn Quartz countertops, it provides a stylish and functional area for cooking and socializing.
Replacing the previous perimeter countertops, the Tawny Quartz now provides a durable and aesthetically pleasing surface that seamlessly complements the new cabinetry. Their subtle elegance elevated the kitchen's overall look.
The backsplash was transformed with MSI Brick Mosaic, adding a stunning visual element that complemented the minimalist theme.
The Blanco Precis Single Cascade Sink and the Delta Emmeline Touch faucet brought in a sleek, functional elegance. The new range hood not only improved ventilation but also acted as a stylish focal point.

PRIVATE RESIDENCE / PANAMA CITY BEACH, FLORIDA
—
ARCHITECT: Eric Watson
BUILDER: McIntosh-Myers Construction
For this lovely Tuscan Mediterranean–style home near the beautiful Emerald Coast of Northwest Florida, our team at E. F. San Juan supplied Loewen impact-rated windows and doors, custom E. F. San Juan mahogany entry gates, exterior trim, patio doors, and custom exterior millwork. Inside the home, we also provided paneling, custom heavy mouldings, columns, and custom interior millwork.
Challenges:
Virtually every room in this home featured multi-part cornice and moulding details, as well as many unique coffered ceiling details. This meant meticulous planning and man-hours to create the mouldings and make sure each related piece of millwork would fit seamlessly upon installation.
Solution:
We worked closely with the builder, Cliff Myers of McIntosh-Myers Construction, and with architect Eric Watson to ensure that all the details envisioned in the architect’s mind, drawings, and blueprints were executed precisely in the field. The result is a stunning residence that evokes an Italian elegance on Florida’s Gulf Coast. The wood details can especially be appreciated in the main living area, which features custom heavy mouldings, coffered ceilings, and columns.

The open kitchen features Eggersman Trondheim Akazie Silver cabinetry with matte glass upper cabinet doors and Wilsonart, “North Cascades,” quartz counter and backsplash. Fully integrated Miele appliances include an induction stove, convection and speed wall ovens, undercounter wine storage, and a concealed range hood. A pocket door divides the primary suite entrance at far right where the wall was precisely dimensioned to fit “Tornado,” by Cuban artist Jorge Lopez Pardo. Subtle tray ceiling details are juxtaposed with the exposed concrete column.

The undermount sink is the Blanco Precis in Cafe Brown. The faucet is by Brizo, from the Vuelo collection, and chosen because it resembles a swan!
The metallic ceramic tile backsplash is by Artistic Tile in Black/Gold.

All details and furniture placement were precisely thought out during the design process.
