The vanity is brand new. We installed medicine cabinet mirrors which have become very popular because they provide the storage for items normally on a side medicine cabinet, while also being the primary mirror. They also give the mirror a great 3-dimensional element to the space.

This rough framing shows the construction of a dedicated laundry closet designed to accommodate a stackable washer and dryer within the basement bathroom area. The layout was carefully planned to maximize the available space while creating a separate, functional utility area. By positioning the laundry closet outside the primary bathroom sightline, the design maintains a clean and organized appearance, ensuring the washer and dryer remain concealed during normal bathroom use while still providing convenient access for laundry operations.

The goal for this project was to design a space that empowers girls and provides a sense of community among its context. The design formalizes the informal by emphasizing the spaces in-between, derived from the happenstance moments that occur between formal spaces throughout the site. The multi-purpose hall consists of angled rammed earth and CSEB walls, which vary in thickness to allow for inhabitation and framed views. The interstitial spaces created between the walls allow for occasional meetings between girls, teachers, and community members who would not normally interact. These interstitial entryways vary in size and program, facilitating not only separate circulation between the primary and secondary school girls but also freedom of choice and therefore empowerment.

Who wouldn't want this polished, timeless transitional primary bath? Simple elegance was designed for this client to meet their practical needs without giving up an expression of playfulness. A calm neutral color scheme, tied together with a fresh paint color, brings out details that would normally get lost in darker colors. The custom-beveled mirror in the bathroom adds elegance and intrigue to an already important focal point. The brushed-finish light fixture is offset by a Euro white linen glass shade that almost floats on the mirror.
