Ca. 1919 Craftsman Style Home, Revisioned by the South’s Leading Designers Twenty‐two leading interior designers from three different states completely restored this historic home on Franklin’s historic Main Street as part of the O’More Show House, which was opened to the public from May 12‐27, 2016 and presented by leading sponsor, PARKS. This is the third O’More Show House event in recent years, with participating designers having ties to O’More College of Design in downtown Franklin and proceeds benefiting the College’s School of Interior Design. The 2016 home, a 5,200 square‐foot ca. 1919 brick and stucco Craftsman‐style cottage, is a significant contributing property to the National Register‐listed Hincheyville Historic District. The owners have undertaken a total renovation of the home’s interior while leaving the street‐view exterior intact. We were recommended to project managers and O'More College for the entire landscape design and installation: landscaping, irrigation, lighting, paver walks and patios, paver-raised porch with steps, paver banding in driveway!

A dear client who resides in Mcallen-TX requested a Full Backyard Design including a pool, outdoor kitchen, firepit, edible garden, art, and a secluded area for quiet reading and privacy among other structures and hardscape. We proceeded with the design process virtually due to his location being away from The Woodlands, TX. The client filled a questionnaire with specific questions regarding his site nature, style, and needs. He sent photos of the existing landscape, survey, and photos from the house interior that would help us match his modern style to his outdoor space. We were very pleased to present our planting and construction drawings with 3D walk-thru video in a videoconference. All plans were sent to this client to start the building process at his own pace. We installed this printed stretched ceiling for Sharon in summer 2013, featuring a map drawn in 1689 by Gerard van Schagen, an Amsterdam cartographer. Even within the context of 15th century cartography, van Shagen’s work is considered outstanding to this day, this particular map having been widely reproduced.

This gut renovation updates a 1,200 SF Classic 5 in an historic prewar building overlooking Gramercy Park. The design is organized around a spine of ribbed white oak proceeding from entry hall to living spaces with southwest views over the park. Concealed doors throughout the apartment provide access to storage, and a hidden door in the ribbed wall leads to the master suite. Fran Parente

Complete exterior remodel for three homes on the same property. These houses got a complete exterior and interior remodel, D&G Exteriors oversaw the exterior work. A little bit about the project: Roof: All three houses got a new roof using Certainteed Landmark Shingles, ice and water, and synthetic underlayment. Siding: For siding, we removed all the old layers of siding, exposing some areas of rot that had developed. After fixing those areas, we proceeded with the installation of new cedar shingles. As part of the installation, we applied weather barrier, a “breather” membrane to provide drainage and airflow for the shingles, and all new flashing details. All trim Windows: All windows on all three houses were replaced with new Harvey vinyl windows. We used new construction windows instead of replacement windows so we could properly waterproof them. Deck: All three houses got a new deck and remodeled porch as well. We used Azek composite decking and railing systems. Additional: The houses also got new doors and gutters.

The clients own what was originally the Palmer House, in Lutz, Florida. They also own 35 acres in Pine Mountain, Georgia, near Callaway Gardens, which attracted them to the area. The project, a small vacation cabin, he intended to build himself. The location chosen on the property looks into the woods but also has a pastoral view of an adjacent pasture, including cattle and a watering pond. Construction is proceeding slowly but surely. A new custom designed family home of approximately 4,300 square feet. The home was designed to minimize the size and mass from the front. The home is a story and a half on the front and a full two stories on the rear. More photos forth coming as the project proceeds. The Hardi siding has been primes but not yet painted.

One of the top factors that can influence the value of a property is the Master Bathroom. During the complete makeover on this project, we proceeded with the complete demolition of the existing master bathroom, including floors, vanity, plumbing, lighting fixtures, toitel and tub. In collaboration with the prestigious designer, Roberto Lugo, the D9 team worked on the layout for the Master Bathroom. With the plan of optimizing the space, we gave ample room to the vanity and the shower to allow them to include all the requested features from the homeowner. To create an inspiring and elegant atmosphere the combination of selected colors, textures and materials played a key role. The Master Bathroom was given elegance by the unique look of the gray toned Marble countertops, combined with the sophistication and detailed finish of the bathroom cabinets, and the neutral gray paint used to finish the raised-cabinets. The shower enclosure presents a double shower with two Marble benches and four shower fixtures with hinged door.

Home and Living Examiner said: Modern renovation by J Design Group is stunning J Design Group, an expert in luxury design, completed a new project in Tamarac, Florida, which involved the total interior remodeling of this home. We were so intrigued by the photos and design ideas, we decided to talk to J Design Group CEO, Jennifer Corredor. The concept behind the redesign was inspired by the client’s relocation. Andrea Campbell: How did you get a feel for the client's aesthetic? Jennifer Corredor: After a one-on-one with the Client, I could get a real sense of her aesthetics for this home and the type of furnishings she gravitated towards. The redesign included a total interior remodeling of the client's home. All of this was done with the client's personal style in mind. Certain walls were removed to maximize the openness of the area and bathrooms were also demolished and reconstructed for a new layout. This included removing the old tiles and replacing with white 40” x 40” glass tiles for the main open living area which optimized the space immediately. Bedroom floors were dressed with exotic African Teak to introduce warmth to the space. We also removed and replaced the outdated kitchen with a modern look and streamlined, state-of-the-art kitchen appliances. To introduce some color for the backsplash and match the client's taste, we introduced a splash of plum-colored glass behind the stove and kept the remaining backsplash with frosted glass. We then removed all the doors throughout the home and replaced with custom-made doors which were a combination of cherry with insert of frosted glass and stainless steel handles. All interior lights were replaced with LED bulbs and stainless steel trims, including unique pendant and wall sconces that were also added. All bathrooms were totally gutted and remodeled with unique wall finishes, including an entire marble slab utilized in the master bath shower stall. Once renovation of the home was completed, we proceeded to install beautiful high-end modern furniture for interior and exterior, from lines such as B&B Italia to complete a masterful design. One-of-a-kind and limited edition accessories and vases complimented the look with original art, most of which was custom-made for the home. To complete the home, state of the art A/V system was introduced. The idea is always to enhance and amplify spaces in a way that is unique to the client and exceeds his/her expectations.
