This modern solarium is the addition to an existing single family home in Sunrise, Florida. The solarium consists of skylights, travertine floors, exposed tongue and groove ceilings, and a series of sliding glass doors to maximize the relationship between interior and exterior. This beautiful Old Westside mid-1800's home had recently undergone a full solar panel installation. The owners were looking to install a progressive and contemporary landscape design with a long wish list that included a clay paver front walk, formal cut and irregular bluestone stepper paths and patio area, a moveable fire pit, raised vegetable beds, a hammock area, and a chicken coop and beehive areas.

Our NYC studio designed this gorgeous condo for a family of four with the goal of maximizing space in a modest amount of square footage. A custom sectional in the living room was created to accommodate the family without feeling overcrowded, while the son's bedroom features a custom Murphy bed to optimize space during the day. To fulfill the daughter's wish for fairy lighting, an entire wall of them was installed behind her bed, casting a beautiful glow at night. In the kitchen, we added plenty of cabinets below the island for maximum efficiency. Storage units were incorporated in the bedroom and living room to house the TV and showcase decorative items. Additionally, the tub in the powder room was removed to create an additional closet for much-needed storage space.

This commission was created to be the focal point in a living room. The couple I created it for had seen one of my paintings that they really liked. It just wasn't big enough to suit their circumstances. I recreated a similar acrylic painting 54"x 54" . It features marine navy blue, teal, cerulean blue, silver metallic and a bit of yellow orange. We completed this nursury for a little boy just before moving to Arkansas. We created a custom mural using a matte vs shiny finish for effect. The accessories are all warm neutrals, and the super plush white shag rugs finishes the overall soft feel of the room.
