Referred to inside H&H as “the basement of dreams,” this project transformed a raw, dark, unfinished basement into a bright living space flooded with daylight. Working with architect Sean Barnett of Polymath Studio, Hammer & Hand added several 4’ windows to the perimeter of the basement, a new entrance, and wired the unit for future ADU conversion. This basement is filled with custom touches reflecting the young family’s project goals. H&H milled custom trim to match the existing home’s trim, making the basement feel original to the historic house. The H&H shop crafted a barn door with an inlaid chalkboard for their toddler to draw on, while the rest of the H&H team designed a custom closet with movable hanging racks to store and dry their camping gear. Home design - small shabby-chic style kids' blue tile and ceramic tile ceramic tile home design idea in San Francisco with a wall-mount sink, open cabinets, white cabinets, a one-piece toilet and blue walls

Our clients were relocating from the upper peninsula to the lower peninsula and wanted to design a retirement home on their Lake Michigan property. The topography of their lot allowed for a walk out basement which is practically unheard of with how close they are to the water. Their view is fantastic, and the goal was of course to take advantage of the view from all three levels. The positioning of the windows on the main and upper levels is such that you feel as if you are on a boat, water as far as the eye can see. They were striving for a Hamptons / Coastal, casual, architectural style. The finished product is just over 6,200 square feet and includes 2 master suites, 2 guest bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, sunroom, home bar, home gym, dedicated seasonal gear / equipment storage, table tennis game room, sauna, and bonus room above the attached garage. All the exterior finishes are low maintenance, vinyl, and composite materials to withstand the blowing sands from the Lake Michigan shoreline.

High-end Hi-Fi meets modern audio & video. This listening room features built-in Audio Resource reference grade gear complete with tube amplifier, DAC, and preamplifier and McIntosh Room Corrector. We showcased the client's original Technics turntable to really add to the nuance.

From starter guitars to pro microphones and amps; the shop has a huge range of some of the biggest music brands available. Located in York, Gear4music set lead designers, Gray Architectural Design the two-part project of refurbishing their newly found office space. After a successful completion of the first phase of the refurbishment, the designers wanted to ensure the overall theme was continued through to the ‘break-out room’, as it gave the desired industrial and reclaimed look that G4M wanted. The upgrade was very much needed after G4M purchased the building – it was outdated and required a complete overhaul. This included oak floors, reclaimed pallet wood cladding and scaffold furniture.
