Have a designated game/puzzle area in your lower level. With this home looking out over the mountains, this is a great spot to set up your activity area.

the firepace insert and surroundings were outdated and far from the source of natural light - we needed to blend the design layout and colors into the existing media center and make this multi purpose room function as home theater, family room, reading nook, puzzle room amd conncect to the outdoors in a respectful way. off we go !

The homeowners wanted a simple, clean, modern bathroom. Sounds straightforward enough. But with a tight budget, a funky layout and a requirement not to move any plumbing, it was more of a puzzle than expected. Good thing we like puzzles! We added a wall to separate the bathroom from the master, installed a ‘tub with a view,’ and put in a free-standing vanity and glass shower to provide a sense of openness. The before pictures don’t begin to showcase the craziness that existed at the start, but we’re thrilled with the finish!

Puzzling...not really.
Putting puzzles together though is just one way this client plans on using their lovely new screened porch...while enjoying the "bug free" outdoors. A fun "gangway" invites you to cross over from the old deck.

With a larger table off to one side of the great room, this family choose to have a small game table off the kitchen. Large windows provide good natural light and a unique cast coral centerpiece can be easily removed for fun and games. Pulling up a bench and another chair or two provides more seating, while plantation shutters filter the sunlight to make this the perfect spot for puzzle, chess, cards and backgammon!
A perfect example of good design honoring and reflecting the habits and dynamics of strong family ties!

This nook features an antique task lamp style floor which compliments the antique game table. The table actually converts to a side table when you turn the top sideways. large format art is a great way to fill a room with character.
