With a larger table off to one side of the great room, this family choose to have a small game table off the kitchen. Large windows provide good natural light and a unique cast coral centerpiece can be easily removed for fun and games. Pulling up a bench and another chair or two provides more seating, while plantation shutters filter the sunlight to make this the perfect spot for puzzle, chess, cards and backgammon!
A perfect example of good design honoring and reflecting the habits and dynamics of strong family ties!

The homeowners wanted a simple, clean, modern bathroom. Sounds straightforward enough. But with a tight budget, a funky layout and a requirement not to move any plumbing, it was more of a puzzle than expected. Good thing we like puzzles! We added a wall to separate the bathroom from the master, installed a ‘tub with a view,’ and put in a free-standing vanity and glass shower to provide a sense of openness. The before pictures don’t begin to showcase the craziness that existed at the start, but we’re thrilled with the finish!

The Word Puzzle, Chess and Checkers game boards showcase Tactile Porcelain Enamel Metal™ as both durable wall cladding and interactive play surface. The Word Puzzle, Chess and Checker board graphics were produced with integrated digital ceramics, enabling the game boards to withstand exterior conditions and wear over extended periods of time. Working with the client and the architect, our engineering and manufacturing team also developed unique magnetic game pieces in our Tactile Clear Acrylic™ which feature crisp silk-screened graphics and refined edges to provide an enjoyable, user-friendly gaming experience.

Transforming outdoor spaces into functional yet beautiful areas is always an exciting challenge at Cowbell Designs. Recently, we worked with a client who wanted to replace their existing deck with a new screened-in porch. Designing the space to ensure it received enough natural light while being covered with a roof proved to be quite the puzzle! The roof slope needed to meet two critical requirements: staying low enough to avoid interfering with the existing skylight, yet maintaining sufficient slope for proper water runoff. To maximize the ceiling height and create an open, inviting space, we decided to incorporate an LVL ridge beam. The result? A sleek and seamless solution. The icing on the cake? We submitted the plans, and within just a couple of hours, received permit approval. It's always rewarding to see great design and thoughtful engineering come together so effortlessly. #cowbelldesigns #VOSB #outdoorlivingdesign #HomeImprovement #PorchGoals #smartdesign

The Cubes design is a modern interpretation of stained glass windows, incorporating Smithメs interest in abstract art. Using a special looping technique to create crisp edging, a puzzle of intersecting shapes is formed in relief. The Cubist three-dimensional effect is countered by a muted palette of neutral tones, with flashes of turquoise for a pleasingly mellow composition.
