On this waterfront LIC roof deck, our clients asked for a modern garden that offered protection from sun and wind. The rooftop receives a mix of sun and shade, resulting in a vibrant mix of shrubs, grasses, and trees. The beach style planting is drought tolerant.

The perimeter cabinets were updated with a mix of stained white oak and reeded door details, while the island received a dramatic black painted finish.

Located near the base of Scottsdale landmark Pinnacle Peak, the Desert Prairie is surrounded by distant peaks as well as boulder conservation easements. This 30,710 square foot site was unique in terrain and shape and was in close proximity to adjacent properties. These unique challenges initiated a truly unique piece of architecture. Planning of this residence was very complex as it weaved among the boulders. The owners were agnostic regarding style, yet wanted a warm palate with clean lines. The arrival point of the design journey was a desert interpretation of a prairie-styled home. The materials meet the surrounding desert with great harmony. Copper, undulating limestone, and Madre Perla quartzite all blend into a low-slung and highly protected home. Located in Estancia Golf Club, the 5,325 square foot (conditioned) residence has been featured in Luxe Interiors + Design’s September/October 2018 issue. The master bedroom features custom, built in wardrobes with cabinets and drawers in varying sizes. The red oak floor with the mahogany inlay continues in this room. What started as an addition project turned into a full house remodel in this Modern Craftsman home in Narberth, PA.. The addition included the creation of a sitting room, family room, mudroom and third floor. As we moved to the rest of the home, we designed and built a custom staircase to connect the family room to the existing kitchen. We laid red oak flooring with a mahogany inlay throughout house. Another central feature of this is home is all the built-in storage. We used or created every nook for seating and storage throughout the house, as you can see in the family room, dining area, staircase landing, bedroom and bathrooms. Custom wainscoting and trim are everywhere you look, and gives a clean, polished look to this warm house. A home in Bethesda that received brand new James Hardie fiber cement Siding and trim. The siding color was evening blue and the trim was white. The siding style was lap and the front facade is mixed use with stone and hardie sidng.

A dated and non-functional primary bathroom receives a modern refresh! Crisp whites combined with charcoal gray ground the space with contrast. Matte black fixtures combined with brushed brass cabinet hardware and sconces for a casual mixed metal look. A luxurious freestanding tub and floor mount tub filler create a relaxing oasis and restful space to enjoy the lush landscape beyond. Ample storage is provided at the vanity, including towers with clever pull-out storage. Marble look tiles are combined for a cohesive look filled with texture and movement.

This lovely dining room received the same feature wall we put in the kitchen to create a cohesive story throughout the home.

The key to this project was to create a kitchen fitting of a residence with strong Industrial aesthetics. The PB Kitchen Design team managed to preserve the warmth and organic feel of the home’s architecture. The sturdy materials used to enrich the integrity of the design, never take away from the fact that this space is meant for hospitality. Functionally, the kitchen works equally well for quick family meals or large gatherings. But take a closer look at the use of texture and height. This is the other guest bedroom off of the Jack & Jill bath. This was ultimately "Jack" and received masculine styled furniture and decor, with a fun mix of the clients existing pieces to give for a more curated feel. We used fun patterns in this room as well, for example a houndstooth sofa in a green and gray color and a striped bone inlay mirror.
