Our clients came to our North Showroom in Cedar Park, TX wanting to completely renovate the outdated cabinets and countertops in their newly purchased home. The flow of the kitchen was not aligning with their new family needs, and the style did not match their modern vision. The dated kitchen left a lot of unused space, and had pain points that disturbed the flow and symmetry of the space. We developed a design to take advantage of the room height, spacious area, and natural light from the bay window nook area. Our designer Dave met with the clients in the showroom and discovered the needs and wants to make the kitchen remodel a success. After understanding the client’s vision and requirements, they begun the collaboration on their kitchen design. During this phase we concluded we could achieve the kitchen design with in-stock cabinets from Kitchen Cabinet Distributors (KCD), a national recognized in-stock cabinet provider. We could have chosen a custom kitchen cabinetry line, however KCD’s offerings were the perfect fit for the design and allowed for an opportunity to save some of the budget for full quartz backsplash vs. tile. Our designers help you navigate the different lines we carry and are thoughtful to not steer you to more than you need to succeed. The first order of business was to change the orientation of the island, and move its position to frame the new galley arrangement. This would allow for better egress around the island and prevent tight spaces for a busy new kitchen. Secondly, now was the time to take advantage of the room height and install new stacked wall cabinets with clear glass panels on the top row. This made the kitchen renovation feel more grand, bright, and inviting. The glass provided opportunity to tie in the lighting scheme and lend more warmth to the design. Coupled with the toe kick and under cabinet lights in the base cabinets, the kitchen invites you in. Dave also took full advantage of the kitchen layout by using upper cabinets and no open shelving. We also wanted to find a new home for the built-in microwave as a stainless hood was now going to frame the cooktop / oven combo. We modified the cabinet in the island to trim in a microwave, at the same time keeping it out of view from the living area. Building on this approach, we also took the trash bin out of the kitchen space and provided a dedicated double trash bin cabinet. Aesthetics were very important in this design.

You wouldn’t recognize this two car garage if I showed you the shape it was in before the Global Garage of NJ crew got to work on it. This job was particularly rewarding because it was a complete remodel. First our painters came in to tape, spackle and paint the walls and ceiling. Once they were done we installed our polyaspartic concrete coating in the most popular blend, 1/4″ Rainbow trout….but with a twist. Normally we would use a grey base coat with this chip blend. In this case the homeowner wanted a warmer less bright feel so we used a tan base and the results were tremendous! The floor turned out beautiful. The floor was installed in one day and the very next day we started the install of the garage cabinets. On the north wall of the garage the home owner chose to install a work bench set up with a slotwall backsplash as well as tall storage cabinets. All built around their existing refrigerator. On the west wall of the garage we installed 5 open cabinet units to house the homeowners golf clubs. Atop the open cabinets are 16″ cabinets to store golf shoes, golf balls and other accessories. The cabinets are flanked by slotwall as well. Slotwall was also installed on the east wall to organize garden tools, snow shovels and ladders.

When the school garden teacher at my kid’s school asked if I would volunteer to design the schools learning garden I was excited by the prospect. I drew up some plans with hopes of inspiring the next generation to getting involved with stewardship of the land. The goal was to create a space were children all abilities could have access to the process of growing food, tending to soils and recognizing the human connection with the natural world. With an emphasis on edible plants, the garden also incorporates native plants, plants that attract pollinators and plants that build soil. The garden includes a composting system, and a log circle to use as and out door classroom space. Unfortunately, half way through the installation of this garden the school was closed due to covid and no one was allowed on campus for 6 months. The garden fell into disrepair. As we slowly emerge from the pandemic the school is coming back to life and parent volunteers are allowed back on to campus. With that the garden is coming back as well. The rain harvesting nets and outdoor kitchen did not end up coming into reality. But through the pandemic we learned an even grater importance of outdoor class room space and the power of engaging with the outdoor world.

This home office was crafted within an unconventional footprint—a space that originally served as a hallway and bathroom in a former golf course clubhouse before its conversion into a private residence. Our primary challenge was transforming this narrow, unique area into a functional, visually refined workspace that brought the client’s vision for custom-painted shelving alcoves to life. Through close collaboration with the builder, we designed shelving with precise proportions, ensuring every alcove felt intentional and balanced. To maximize openness and visual continuity, we finished both the walls and shelving in SW 9019 Natural Linen. Carrying this warm tone throughout the entire space prevented visual fragmentation, allowing the architectural detailing to feel perfectly integrated. While a contrasting white finish was considered, we chose the monochromatic approach to preserve the cohesion and softness of the room. The result is a space defined by elegance, sophistication, and quiet distinction. A cherished photographic art piece served as our focal point, establishing a color direction filled with warm neutrals, subtle depth, and organic movement. We carefully curated and scaled accessories to each alcove, including soft gold sculptural elements, clear resin accents, and earth-inspired objects, to create interest without the clutter. Scott and Janet of Elgin have had four design to build renovations with Advance Design over the last decade. We got the chance to sit down and talk with Janet about her experience working with Advance Design on so many different areas of her home. Starting with her kitchen in 2009, Janet proclaimed, “The reason we kept coming back is because our first [renovation] went so extremely well, exceeding all of my expectations.” Since their kitchen renovation with Advance Design ten years ago, Scott and Janet have also worked with Advance to remodel their master bedroom, their power room, a wet bar, and most recently their master bath. Having renovated practically every major room in the house with the team, we asked Janet what made her experience with Advance Design so special. “We went with Advance Design because we trusted them so much more, their experience, and everything that they brought. When it came to their new project plans, Scott and Janet were interested in creating a relaxing “spa-like” experience in their master bath. One of the many ideas Michelle introduced during the design process was installing a Kohler Alteo series showerhead for a rain-like shower experience. This designer showerhead, mixed with the warm ambiance of the lighting and pebble accent running throughout the shower make for what Janet calls a “luxury spa essence”. From the oversized glass sliding door to the recessed niche for accessories, each special detail was considered and implemented intentionally so as to create the maximumly optimized use of the compact space. Not only was this transformation one of beauty and luxury, but special attention was given to every way possible to provide additional storage to maximize the functionality of the bath area as a whole. Once design was complete and the bath construction project began in their home, making sure everything happened efficiently and on schedule became new priority number one. “Having a project manager made an enormous difference,” Janet said, “It was so worth it to hire professionals that knew exactly what they were doing. We purchased this home that hadn't had much of an opportunity to have been revitalized throughout the years, therefore, had grown old and tired. We were excited at the vision of what it could be! Through a 5 month process we renovated and refurbished this home with updated bathrooms, kitchen, flooring, ceilings, and exterior work, and fully new windows and french door to create the indoor/outdoor living. Added on a new guest bathroom and laundry room, skylights, and elegant chandeliers and further updated the electrical, plumbing and A/C and heating units. The end product was magnificently elegant with a breathtaking kitchen, modern bathrooms, with a distinct contrast in flooring materials used that left an impressive impression for everyone that toured the property. The before and after pictures of the facade of the property were so contrasting that people who had previously seen pictures of the property or the property itself had a hard time recognizing it when driving by. This project was a huge success for our company and created the elevated energy for all that were involved, including the upliftment of the neighborhood.

For this kitchen remodeling project, we collaborated with a customer who envisioned a new and more functional kitchen. The client's wish list included a brighter space, taller cabinets, the removal of the soffit, a fresh backsplash, and additional countertop space. Recognizing the concern about the kitchen's darkness, we strategically approached the design to maximize natural and artificial lighting; we used task lights under the cabinets, relocated the can lights in the ceiling and used polar white cabinets. The project began with the removal of all existing cabinets, the soffit, and the outdated backsplash. We then introduced a thoughtfully designed peninsula, providing both additional workspace and a stylish focal point. To optimize the kitchen's flow, we relocated the fridge to a different wall, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics. The choice of materials and colors was carefully curated to brighten the space while maintaining a timeless and elegant aesthetic.

This master bathroom renovation transforms a builder-grade standard into a personalized retreat for our lovely Stapleton clients. Recognizing a need for change, our clients called on us to help develop a space that would capture their aesthetic loves and foster relaxation. Our design focused on establishing an airy and grounded feel by pairing various shades of white, natural wood, and dynamic textures. We replaced the existing ceramic floor tile with wood-look porcelain tile for a warm and inviting look throughout the space. We then paired this with a reclaimed apothecary vanity from Restoration Hardware. This vanity is coupled with a bright Caesarstone countertop and warm bronze faucets from Delta to create a strikingly handsome balance. The vanity mirrors are custom-sized and trimmed with a coordinating bronze frame. Elegant wall sconces dance between the dark vanity mirrors and bright white full height mirrors flanking the bathtub. The tub itself is an oversized freestanding bathtub paired with a tall bronze tub filler. We've created a feature wall with Tile Bar's Billowy Clouds ceramic tile floor to ceiling behind the tub. The wave-like movement of the tiles offers a dramatic texture in a pure white field. We removed the existing shower and extended its depth to create a large new shower. The walls are tiled with a large format high gloss white tile. The shower floor is tiled with marble circles in varying sizes that offer a playful aesthetic in an otherwise minimalist space. We love this pure, airy retreat and are thrilled that our clients get to enjoy it for many years to come!
