Third-time repeat clients loved our work so much, they hired us to design their Ohio home instead of recruiting a local Ohio designer. All work was done remotely except for an initial meeting for site measure and initial consult, and then a second flight for final installation. All 6,000 square feet was decorated head to toe by J Hill Interiors, Inc., as well as new paint and lighting.

When this Tuxedo NY homeowner decided on a 2-tone, modern design, she knew she needed to recruit a professional remodeler to bring her vision to life. Finding a way to transform the whole space while still getting the luxuries she wanted like a farmhouse sink and Cambria countertops in Cambria's Torquay was no small feat. We refaced in Suede Grey and Satin White, a popular trend that adds instant interest. The mosaic blended countertop of glass and stone ties the color scheme together. New metal bar stools button up the look and add another texture. With a nod to industrial modern design, this kitchen is a show stopper!

The project was begun by my former partner at EcoArchitecture LLC, David Sands,AIA. When he recruited me from Los Angeles in 2001 he had completed the building department submittal of this project. My job was to develop all the finishes both exterior and interior. Most of the work was custom. The house was completely off the grid, and its own windmill, and catchment system. We used the Ohias, and mango tree on the owners property to make the cabinetry and doors. This was a groundbreaking LEED project.

The family had a great style, as they had already updated a lot of the house, but the kitchen was still dated. They decided to recruit some help to modernize this room. They hired one of our favorite home designers in East Cobb, Burcu at Design and Curations. We love working with this studio, the finished products always look magazine-worthy!

Older homes on the peninsula of Halifax are historic, charming, cozy, and small. Oh so small. This one in particular was proving too small for the clients comfort. So they recruited the good team at Solterre Design to design a much needed expansion to the kitchThe design ended up including not only the expansion of the kitchen by way of a small addition, but also the addition of a half-bath to the downstairs, as well as a laundry nook adjacent to the kitchen. And while we were at it, we might as well build them a much needed and much expanded deck as well.

The client wanted a stylish and contemporary open space with harmony flowing through the kitchen, dining and living area…not an easy task. The entire living space is uncluttered, cohesive, and casual…exactly what the clients asked for.
