Step through the door into this luxurious Kaua’i penthouse and be enveloped in soothing hues of sea glass crystal waters and gently curling ocean waves. Elegantly appointed in classic island style with furnishings by Tommy Bahama, this space is beautiful, relaxing and very livable. Special touches, such as art prints by artist Wade Koniakowsky, add personal distinctive Kaua’i ambiance. Some existing furnishings were repurposed and rearranged to create a more functional and user friendly unit, as well as showcase the magnificent ocean views.

Stephanie and Chaim badly needed more storage, more counter space, a second sink, and better organization. The small kitchen-dining area at first seemed impossible. The existing U-shaped kitchen was cramped and uncomfortable to work in. We discussed various possibilities to make the kitchen more pleasant and user-friendly, but I only hit upon the solution after going home... the tight U didn't allow for much improvement, but breaking it into an L and a peninsula — well, that would make all the difference!

Inspiration for a modern home design remodel in Other

This kitchen was tight and closed off for a homeowner who loves to cook. The entire kitchen remodel revolved around wanting to open the space up and make room for a commercial-style range/griddle and vent hood. We removed an existing laundry room and relocated it to make room for a wet bar area and large island. The new cabinets are done in hickory from the Kitchen Solvers Classic Collection line done in the Sterling door in the color Koala. Every cabinet in the space is decked out with functional storage solutions to make the space user-friendly and efficient. To finish the new look, we also installed a new laminate countertop done in Winter Carnival, a Baja Cream Travertine backsplash with random glass/travertine mosaic accent strip and simple shaker crown molding.

Kordsmeier Remodeling With proper grab bars and two options for showering, this set up is much more user friendly for someone in a wheel chair. Having two shower options also helps out if there is a care taker assisting.

This three season porch is a seamless extention of the interior living area. The flow from dining to lounging area makes "chilling" a breeze. This beverage room or home bar is the perfect place from which to entertain. This project was a complete tear out and remodel. What was a very dark, out dated, dysfunctional kitchen was transformed into a bright user friendly kitchen. New Bridgewood Advantage Richfield cabinetry in Maple was installed, along with quartz countertop, ceramic tile backsplash and new Duraceramic flooring. Other details include a tambour appliance garage, wine cooler and display shelving. Undercabinet and recessed lighting was installed. Pull out baskets were added to the blind corner cabinet to better utilize that space.
