Check out this AMAZING city yard transformation! This City Yard of Water is an absolutely incredible example of what can be done in such a small space. The small backyard in Lancaster City was completely transformed from grass and weeds to this MASTERPIECE you see before you! Project included installation of an Aquascape Ecosystem pond complete with pond plants, fish, Stepping stones through the pond, waterfalls, fish cave for heron protection, algae control system and bacteria dosing system all designed to make pond maintenance user-friendly. Pond is approximately 21’x26′ with a 15′ stream/waterfall which starts in the far back corner of the yard which was an otherwise unusable space. There’s nothing more relaxing and invited then the sound of running water and this backyard is going to be a relaxation paradise.

Our clients loved their neighborhood and being able to walk to work. While they knew it was their forever home, they needed more space. Their goals were to completely update the interior while keeping the original charm. They also wanted to add an addition for more space for their growing family. On the first floor we relocated the kitchen, dining, and laundry room. With the rear addition we were able to enlarge the kitchen and dining and add in a powder room, secondary playroom, mudroom and back entry. On the second floor, the back half was entirely reconfigured. We added a primary suite and a hallway bathroom. With this being a historic home, we left the existing windows in place as well as the trim and baseboards. We kept and refinished the existing stairway railing. The primary bathroom was moved to be more user friendly. We made cosmetic upgrades throughout the home for a cohesive look that matches the homeowner’s style which was transitional with industrial elements.

This home renovation story begins with John and Barb, a fabulous couple looking to remodel their 15-year old winter home in Bonita Bay, Bonita Springs, Florida. Living in the home only part-time, spending their summers in Oconomowac, Wisconsin, John and Barb had an idea of what they wanted, but didn’t know how to bring it to fruition. They also needed someone who they could trust to renovate their home while they were away in Wisconsin. Their vision for their home started with a new kitchen, family room and wet bar. Enjoying their time outdoors and on their lanai, they also envisioned improving their indoor-outdoor living space. With the help of Progressive Design Build, this couple’s home was designed and completed remodeled while they were away, transforming the common area of their home into a more user friendly, functional space. Emphasis was placed on the kitchen and the open floor plan. New tile flooring was installed throughout the space, with all new painting that matched the homeowner’s style and taste. A new Anderson door was also installed from the kitchen to the outdoor living space, replacing heavy sliding glass doors and making access to the lanai easier and more functional.

He has beautifully built, renovated, and personally thumb printed all of his commercial spaces and residences. “Our theory is to keep things sophisticated but comfortable,” Brad says. That’s the exact approach he took in his personal haven in Nichols Hills, Oklahoma. Painstakingly renovated over the span of two years by Candeleria Foster Design-Build of Oklahoma City, his home boasts museum-white, authentic Venetian plaster walls and ceilings; charcoal tiled flooring; imported marble in the master bath; and a pretty kitchen you’ll want to emulate. Reminiscent of an edgy luxury hotel, it is a vibe conjured by Cantoni designer Nicole George. “The new remodel plan was all about opening up the space and layering monochromatic color with lots of texture,” says Nicole, who collaborated with Brad on two previous projects. “The color palette is minimal, with charcoal, bone, amber, stone, linen and leather.” “Sophisticated“Sophisticated“Sophisticated“Sophisticated“Sophisticated Nicole helped oversee space planning and selection of interior finishes, lighting, furnishings and fine art for the entire 7,000-square-foot home. It is now decked top-to-bottom in pieces sourced from Cantoni, beginning with the custom-ordered console at entry and a pair of Glacier Suspension fixtures over the stairwell. “Every angle in the house is the result of a critical thought process,” Nicole says. “We wanted to make sure each room would be purposeful.” To that end, “we reintroduced the ‘parlor,’ and also redefined the formal dining area as a bar and drink lounge with enough space for 10 guests to comfortably dine,” Nicole says. Brad’s parlor holds the Swing sectional customized in a silky, soft-hand charcoal leather crafted by prominent Italian leather furnishings company Gamma. Nicole paired it with the Kate swivel chair customized in a light grey leather, the sleek DK writing desk, and the Black & More bar cabinet by Malerba. “Nicole has a special design talent and adapts quickly to what we expect and like,” Brad says. To create the restaurant-worthy dining space, Nicole brought in a black-satin glass and marble-topped dining table and mohair-velvet chairs, all by Italian maker Gallotti & Radice. Guests can take a post-dinner respite on the adjoining room’s Aston sectional by Gamma. In the formal living room, Nicole paired Cantoni’s Fashion Affair club chairs with the Black & More cocktail table, and sofas sourced from Désirée, an Italian furniture upholstery company that creates cutting-edge yet comfortable pieces. The color-coordinating kitchen and breakfast area, meanwhile, hold a set of Guapa counter stools in ash grey leather, and the Ray dining table with light-grey leather Cattelan Italia chairs. The expansive loggia also is ideal for entertaining and lounging with the Versa grand sectional, the Ido cocktail table in grey aged walnut and Dolly chairs customized in black nubuck leather. Nicole made most of the design decisions, but, “she took my suggestions seriously and then put me in my place,” Brad says. She had the master bedroom’s Marlon bed by Gamma customized in a remarkably soft black leather with a matching stitch and paired it with onyx gloss Black & More nightstands. “The furnishings absolutely complement the style,” Brad says. “They are high-quality and have a modern flair, but at the end of the day, are still comfortable and user-friendly.” The end result is a home Brad not only enjoys, but one that Nicole also finds exceptional. “I honestly love every part of this house,” Nicole says. “Working with Brad is always an adventure but a privilege that I take very seriously, from the beginning of the design process to installation.”

Kathy Moore from Reico Kitchen & Bath in King of Prussia, PA, worked with Belfry Construction to design a transitional kitchen featuring Merillat Autograph cabinets. The perimeter cabinets are in the Bayard door style with a Warm White finish, while the island has an Evergreen finish, paired with Q4076 Verde Peake countertops. The remodel also includes Daltile 3x12 Aloe Rectangle and 1x6 Drift Straight Joint backsplash tiles, along with Frigidaire appliances. The client said, “We love the extra counter space, storage, and modern look. Kathy was key to the project’s success because she considered every detail in the design. Her top suggestion was the utensil storage cabinet. Our favorite feature is the drawer microwave, which makes the area more user-friendly. We also moved the basement door to the dining room to add a corner cabinet and create a larger work area.” Kathy shared, “The kitchen needed more storage and better functionality. The biggest challenge was designing within the existing space since it was original and the clients had specific tastes. Moving the door allowed for more cabinets. This condominium project was in serious need of an over haul. Designer was called in to design a water wise user friendly landscape. Every thing was bulldozed off so that a new patio with planters, trees, shrubs and perennials could be installed. Every thing was water wise and the patio welcomes residents to spend time outside. Set on beautiful Sanibel Island, overlooking the lagoon, our client’s home was situated in a picture-perfect location. Unfortunately, however, they couldn’t say the same about their kitchen—it was far from picture-perfect. The homeowners were keen to make the kitchen area more rich and tropical, as well as functional and user-friendly. After approaching Progressive Design Build with their renovation needs, they quickly moved into the design phase—brainstorming design ideas with Progressive’s certified kitchen and bath designer. Enamored by Progressive’s 3-Step Design/Build process, the client was able to review their design choices and budget items well before construction began. Working within a comfortable budget, the homeowners were equally impressed by how seamless it was to pick and choose their design options—narrowing their selections and settling on a design style that suited their needs. The end result was a gorgeous Tommy Bahama-style scheme that included Lyptus wood cabinets with rattan and louver door combinations. The refrigerator was disguised using custom cabinet appliance panels, effectively integrating it with the cabinetry wall for a unified look. The new space included a coffee bar, a window seat overlooking the lagoon, new lighting and porcelain tile flooring throughout the home. A full Viking appliance package finished off the look to this Island kitchen jewel.

The kitchen was enlarged by capturing space in in the family room, and removing a dividing wall which allowed for an open plan and more efficient layout.. Painting the ceiling and wrapping the beams provided a lighter more finished feeling and with addition of more lights made the kitchen more user friendly not matter what time of the day or night. The countertop seating at the end of the kitchen is the perfect place to gather for a family meal and the seating at the other end is perfect for guests to sit and interact with the cook and to participate in the food prep. or the kids to sit and do homework. This kitchen has something for everyone, a place for everything, and will be enjoyed by the entire family for years to come!

Another tiny kitchen in a 20's era home needed to be lightened up and the space more user friendly. Bringing the oak flooring from the living room into the kitchen and then on to the back porch gave a more cohesive look. Removing the glass block between rooms, adding a full glass door and painting out the cabinets white made for a pleasing space. A smaller refrigerator was able to get into the kitchen instead of the old one on the back porch! The focal point in this kitchen is the tin ceiling.

Basement level kitchen with low ceilings and a tricky center column. The design directive was to maximize the layout, make the kitchen feel bright and inviting and appeal to families with a mixed design aesthetic. We opted to install custom millwork to use every inch of available space. A light, monochromatic color palette makes the space feel visually bigger. User friendly materials were selected throughout that would maintain their look for years to come. Under-cabinet lighting as well as recessed fixtures create a bright space without taking up precious space.
