This forever home, perfect for entertaining and designed with a place for everything, is a contemporary residence that exudes warmth, functional style, and lifestyle personalization for a family of five. Our busy lawyer couple, with three close-knit children, had recently purchased a home that was modern on the outside, but dated on the inside. They loved the feel, but knew it needed a major overhaul. Being incredibly busy and having never taken on a renovation of this scale, they knew they needed help to make this space their own. Upon a previous client referral, they called on Pulp to make their dreams a reality. Then ensued a down to the studs renovation, moving walls and some stairs, resulting in dramatic results. Beth and Carolina layered in warmth and style throughout, striking a hard-to-achieve balance of livable and contemporary. The result is a well-lived in and stylish home designed for every member of the family, where memories are made daily.

In less than 90 days after work began, a dated kitchen is brought back to life with current trends and technologies, along with a neutral color palette.
Introduced to Progressive Design Build from a trusted referral, Mike and Holly approached their kitchen remodel with some trepidation. They had interviewed several contractors who were unsuccessful at solving key traffic flow issues around an island cabinet they wanted—until they met Progressive.
As restaurant owners, the husband and wife team were very familiar with remodeling contractors, having renovated many restaurants in the past. Design/build remodeling, however, was new to them. After learning more about the benefits of working with a design/build firm, Mike and Holly met with Progressive’s certified kitchen and bath designer, Betty Appleby. They understood immediately the value of teaming up with design and construction professionals early in the process.
Mike and Holly had done a lot of their own research and were clear about what they wanted. They had visions of an island cabinet being more usable and accessible. Progressive Design Build brought that vision to life.
While the project was under construction, the homeowners avoided the noise and dust by taking frequent trips to Europe and New York, trusting the entire remodeling project to Progressive Design Build. When they returned, all aspects of their functional and stylistic design needs were met.
Details of the finished project include a faux finish copper range hood, custom cabinetry, new stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, a new wet bar adjacent to the kitchen, and porcelain tile flooring throughout. The refrigerator was disguised using custom cabinet appliance panels, effectively integrating it with the cabinetry wall for a unified look.
This project was completed on time and on budget. As a result, the homeowners hired Progressive Design Build to complete two more home remodeling projects for them.

At CI Design + Build, a referral is the highest form of flattery. And when said word of mouth leads to a luxe, full-scope renovation for a pair of clients who have a genuine love for transformative design, well — now we’re really in our element. For the reno of this two-bedroom, high-rise condo overlooking the Chicago River, our design team was tapped to touch every surface while infusing the footprint with sophistication and timeless glamour.
FOR A DECIDEDLY MODERN FEEL WITH TEMPERED MOMENTS OF DRAMA, WE OPTED FOR BOLD MATERIALS AND COLORS, INCLUDING DYNAMIC BLUE ROMA QUARTZITE FOR THE KITCHEN AND BAR.
Intent on making the home a unique reflection of its owners, a couple who love hosting friends and family on the regular, we set the stage for elevated entertaining, leaning into statement-making design choices for the main living spaces. A geometric media wall in the living room, for example, commands attention via custom millwork boxes of varying depths, each punctuated by beautiful slabs of backlit onyx. Playful geometries continue in the presentation-worthy kitchen, where intersecting volumes and mixed materials define a bar top, an island counter, and a dining table. Here, a striking Sub-Zero/Wolf appliance suite, including a floor-to-ceiling wine fridge, makes functionality utterly fabulous.
Incorporating white oak hardwood and gorgeous porcelain tile, every inch of flooring was updated for seamless continuity. In the primary bedroom, a calm and inviting sanctuary was defined, including a dramatic headboard wall that features shagreen-upholstered channels and angled millwork panels, and a statement fireplace that adds a strong focal point. The adjacent en suite stuns courtesy of Port Black marble-topped vanities and a shower bench that extends through the glass. Throughout, CI provided all the furnishings and decorative lighting for the home, making this a true turnkey project.

Our client came as a referral. They had seen a kitchen project we had completed where we opened up the kitchen to the living room. They were inspired to do the same in their kitchen. While they initially came to us looking to simply remove a wall to open up the space, in conversation it was clear we could help them really make the space function better for their family and entertaining. Ultimately they wanted to have an open bright space that was family friendly, great for entertaining and satisfied their love of cooking.
By far, the greatest challenge we faced with this project was removing the load bearing wall that started the conversation to begin with. This wall was supporting 2 stories and housed the majority of electricity and plumbing for the kitchen and bathrooms above.
Some of the key features are:
An island enlarged to the maximum size that the beautiful Calacatta Retro slab allowed. The island houses a Galley 5-foot prep station sink with two faucets, dishwasher, two beverage coolers, drawer microwave, trash disposal, and a charging station for all of the family’s digital devices, are all conveniently located in the island.
A vibrant tile from Porcelanosa is installed as the backsplash.
The butler pantry was transformed into a coffee and wine bar.
Installed Mocket pop-up outlets on the island that close flush to the island when not in use, but are easily accessible.
Sonos speakers discreetly concealed in the ceiling for music throughout the space.
The kitchen with dark colors and heavy gothic like style trim is gone, and a light, bright, kitchen with clean lines and an abundance of features has taken its place. The client is beyond delighted with the transformation of their kitchen and now combined living room space.

A referral from an awesome client lead to this project that we paired with Tschida Construction.
We did a complete gut and remodel of the kitchen and powder bathroom and the change was so impactful.
We knew we couldn't leave the outdated fireplace and built-in area in the family room adjacent to the kitchen so we painted the golden oak cabinetry and updated the hardware and mantle.
The staircase to the second floor was also an area the homeowners wanted to address so we removed the landing and turn and just made it a straight shoot with metal spindles and new flooring.
The whole main floor got new flooring, paint, and lighting.

This exclusive full-scale luxury home renovation by HouseHome Interior Design redefines modern living through a complete gut-and-remodel transformation, executed with precision on an exceptionally tight timeline.
Originally a 1971 green-and-brown vintage home, the property was fully reimagined into a sleek, high-tech contemporary residence for a C-level executive at Boeing, who entrusted HouseHome with the vision to create a bespoke, museum-worthy interior environment. Every square inch of the interior and exterior was redesigned and rebuilt from the ground up, delivering a dramatic architectural rebirth anchored in minimalist sophistication and industrial elegance.
The new design showcases custom walnut cabinetry, seamless quartz surfaces, stainless steel metal accents, and a fully opened, reengineered floor plan that maximizes light, flow, and modern functionality. A refined palette of black, crisp white, warm wood tones, and layered greys establishes a timeless yet forward-thinking aesthetic, while top-tier luxury brands and high-performance systems elevate the home into the realm of true modern smart-home living. The result is a high-design, high-tech sanctuary that seamlessly blends architectural minimalism with executive-level luxury.
The client was not only astonished by the speed and precision of execution, but by the extreme level of transformation and artistic vision delivered—solidifying this project as a signature example of HouseHome’s mastery in ultra-luxury modern residential design which has secured many referrals for us.

Located in the residential area of Encino Sandra Costa was called to meet with six Japanese businessmen who spoke little English. The referral to the new build restaurant started with an introduction by her longtime client Stan Lerner. In addition to having Sandra design his ultra-modern state of the art penthouse, Stan hired Sandra to remodel and furnish a 16 story Skyline Condominium property in downtown Los Angeles. The project as he explained would be simple.
“In the main dining room, my vision was for Japan to meet Time Square. The colors of the moving rotating shades were hypnotic. I balanced the glamorous ceiling with a giant onyx slab that resembled an oyster shell. In the entry, I had the giant head carved from Styrofoam.

We met these clients through a referral from a previous client. We renovated several rooms in their traditional-style farmhouse in Abington. The kitchen is farmhouse chic, with white cabinetry, black granite counters, Carrara marble subway tile backsplash, and a beverage center. The large island, with its white quartz counter, is multi-functional, with seating for five at the counter and a bench on the end with more seating, a microwave door, a prep sink and a large area for prep work, and loads of storage. The kitchen includes a large sitting area with a corner fireplace and wall mounted television.
The multi-purpose mud room has custom built lockers for coats, shoes and bags, a built-in desk and shelving, and even space for kids to play! All three bathrooms use black and white in varied materials to create clean, classic spaces.
