Inspiration for a bedroom and mid-sized transitional gender-neutral dark wood floor and brown floor kids' bedroom remodel in Portland with white walls

Our client had a large unused lawn area towards the rear of their property that they wanted transformed into an enjoyable destination. Our design solution has now created a putting green that is enjoyed on a regular basis with an elevated gazebo patio with retaining seat walls that create a beautiful focal point in this well established back yard.

The new dining room has new wainscoting, hardwood floors, fresh paint, furniture, accessories and lighting. This new space is bright and fresh and is now a room my client uses happily on a regular basis.

Many of the plantings have a very lush and somewhat relaxed character. This characteristic is used to contrast and soften the strong bones connecting the garden spaces, the walkways.

From the very beginning, the goal and purpose of this master bathroom remodel was to improve functionality, specifically for future days when wheelchair access may become necessary on a regular basis. The double bowl vanity with roll under access at one end means he can be at the sink with ease, and she doesn't sacrifice any valuable storage space. Zero barrier entry to shower with custom bench is really the spa look we are all looking for - large shower space with a seating option and hand held spray. The bathroom is large enough for a soaking tub and the minimal decking allows for easier maneuvering in and out. All water controls are at accessible height and location, as are the grab bars for optimal safety.

The homeowner’s entertain large groups on a regular basis and needed seating for up to 16 guests at a time. The beautiful window treatment is custom. The art is meant to create drama and reflect the rich cultural heritage of the homeowners. This image from mid-July capture the garden at a moment when there are not a lot of blooms. In the foreground, the bottlebrush buckeye (Aesculus parvifora) will soon bloom. Quite of few of the plants in the this garden were there when the garden was created and through the years it has been shaped by editing out unwanted things and adding many other. The little group of quacking aspens with the native plantain at its feet are examples of beautiful originals that have a nice presence after a little human intervention. The hay-scented ferns are very nice in places but have to be beat back on a regular basis.

The delicate pendant light fixtures above the island features draping hand polished crystal pieces, which are positioned close to the light source for optimum sparkle. Each piece is hand finished antiqued over real silver leaf. These beautiful collection matches the detailing of the range hood. On the east wall of the kitchen, the double ovens allow for better functionality of the kitchen. Since our client enjoys entertaining on a regular basis, the versatility of owning a double oven was vital. Wolf’s 30” M Series Built-In Double Oven provides precise and intuitive cooking modes, which is something that our client really wanted. She now has the ability to cook various dishes at different temperatures simultaneously. In addition, the 36” Built-In French Door Refrigerator/Freezer provides the perfect and ideal conditions for fresh foods.

Great thought and ingenuity went into creating this dining room. With the homeowner desiring hidden, walk-in butler pantries, accessible from the dining room, but not visible on a regular basis, the Neolith wall with hidden doors was a creative solution. Spring catch doors open up to separate pantries equipped with wood cabinetry; one side stores dishware and the other sports a cocktail bar. For the dining room, the client was interested in a new dining table that could fit up to 4 guests on a regular basis, but expand to 8 when needed. As she did not have any other place to store dishes, silverware, and stemware - we created this beautiful custom bulit-in sideboard storage for all her kitchen and dining needs.

Inspiration for a timeless family room remodel in Los Angeles

This porch is outdoor living at its best. Light and airy, this room is an extension of the family room and the kitchen. The mahogany doors open wide to let traffic flow in or out and the transom windows above the doors provide extra light inside. The painted flooring is a nice complement to the white butt board walls and painted blue ceiling. Gorgeous and relaxing. Bring on the sweet tea.
