Completed in partnership with LAM Studios Inc., this Fall 2024 renovation transformed multiple areas of a Dilworth home into a cohesive, functional, and beautifully updated living environment. The project included a complete kitchen remodel, living room renovation, bathroom remodel, laundry room update, dining room renovation, fireplace enhancement, and hallway improvements. The kitchen serves as the centerpiece of the renovation, featuring improved functionality, modern finishes, and a layout designed to support everyday living and entertaining. Adjacent living and dining spaces were thoughtfully redesigned to create a seamless flow throughout the home, while the updated fireplace provides a warm and inviting focal point. Additional improvements to the bathroom, laundry room, and hallway enhanced both comfort and efficiency, ensuring every space contributes to the home's overall functionality and style. Through careful planning, quality craftsmanship, and timeless design choices, this renovation successfully blends modern living with lasting elegance. I designed custom blackened steel beam covers to fit around existing plaster beams. This allowed me to incorporate lighting in a location that had no power supply. I had the steel fabricated to follow and fit the existing amazing scalloped ceiling. White lacquer cabinets and a thick, solid, stone slab kitchen island keeps the feeling fresh and provides dramatic contrast to the dark floor and steel. Photos by: Seth Caplan

Located in Argyle, Texas, this comprehensive whole-home renovation was conceived by USI Design & Remodeling who reimagined the home's interior architecture, transforming a collection of compartmentalized rooms into a cohesive environment designed for modern living, entertaining, and daily comfort. The project encompassed the kitchen, family room, dining room, lounge, office, primary bathroom, and supporting circulation spaces, creating a unified experience that feels both expansive and intentional. Throughout the home, refined materials, custom millwork, and carefully curated finishes establish a sense of understated luxury while maintaining warmth and livability. At the heart of the renovation is a completely reconfigured kitchen and gathering space designed around functionality, hospitality, and visual connection. Architectural barriers were removed to improve sightlines and circulation, allowing the kitchen, dining, and family spaces to function as a single integrated living environment. A dramatic five-foot workstation sink anchors the kitchen, while custom cabinetry and furniture-inspired details elevate the space beyond conventional residential design. Adjacent to the kitchen, the former pantry, laundry, and service corridor were reimagined as a hybrid scullery and utility suite, creating a highly functional support space that discreetly accommodates food preparation, storage, organization, and household operations without compromising the elegance of the primary living areas. The renovation extends beyond aesthetics to create a home tailored to the family's evolving needs. The primary bathroom was transformed into a spa-inspired retreat, while the lounge, office, and dining spaces were redesigned to support both everyday living and entertaining. The goal of the project was to transform the lower level into a warm, inviting living space that blends seamlessly with the rest of the house while adding practical everyday functionality. The renovation included a custom bathroom, home bar, living room, bedroom, dining space, mudroom, updated staircase, and a thoughtfully designed under-stair built-in nook. Each area was carefully planned to maximize storage, improve flow, and create a cohesive design aesthetic throughout the basement. The homeowners of a 1930s Tudor in East Atlanta Village envisioned a colorful renovation that blended original charm with modern updates. The creative couple, who cherish antiques and quirky collectibles, aimed to preserve the home's historic layout and architectural elements. The overall color palette and aesthetic was inspired by their grandmother's fine China collection. The renovation encompassed the kitchen, mudroom, breakfast nook, living room, bar, powder room, and primary bathroom. Copper Sky Design + Remodel placed emphasis on integrating color, patterns, and specialty details to honor the home's history while reflecting the homeowners' unique style. Key design choices included retaining the functional galley kitchen, featuring a dishrack over the sink to display the clients' depression-era glass and antique China. Floral cutouts on cabinet doors and refrigerator panels, reminiscent of the 1930s, were incorporated. A scalloped built-in cabinet in the butler’s pantry, designed to fit a niche previously housing an original piece, ties into the brass scalloped hood in the kitchen. The mudroom and butler’s pantry cabinets also feature a scallop motif. Custom mosaic floor tiles, typical of the 1930s, required meticulous planning and execution. The 2” hexagon mosaic tile pattern in the kitchen, mudroom, and butler’s pantry was digitally designed and hand-laid on site. The primary bathroom's wall tile pattern demanded precision, resulting in a symmetrical and stunning design. The primary bathroom was expanded to include a Japanese-style soaking tub and a bidet within its modest 10’ x 9’ size. The powder room, though small, is vibrant with “Dinosauria” wallpaper, Tiffany-style lighting, and a square mosaic tile floor. This thoughtful renovation preserved the Tudor's historical integrity while infusing it with the homeowners' vibrant aesthetic, creating a harmonious blend of past and present.

The Robinhood Residence is a small house renovation for a family that loves the scale and quaint setting of their home, but was quickly outgrowing its dated appearance and storage allowance. The main tasks for Content were creating a clear organization and simple flow to the home while bringing cohesion to the previous renovations. Custom cabinet pieces were designed for new storage and room focal points. A balance was struck, opening up visibility between rooms while maintaining the client's beloved elements from a quirky mid century renovation.
