This renter was moving into a one bedroom apartment from a family home. As such, many areas are multi-use spaces. This room functions as both a dining room and work space, where the client writes. This nook provided storage space as well as an opportunity for the client to express her personal style. By placing these low bookcases side-by-side, we created both housing for books as well as a surface which can be used as a sideboard when entertaining. We culled from the clients art collection some of her favorite pieces and displayed them together in a dynamic collection. Using strong pieces such as these takes advantage of the neutral wall color (which the client is not allowed to alter) by using it as a blank backdrop. The red box is decorative and functional, housing the clients go-to office supplies such as pens, pencils, notepaper, etc.

These custom designed apartments come with beautiful, light infused bedrooms which would make any renter happy to wake up to. The walk-in closet adds another taste of luxury along with extra space for an accent chair.

The design team laid out the main Foyer, Leasing and Clubhouse designs to be distinctly modern with layouts and finishes to appeal to the high-end renter. The Foyer features a Beasley & Henley created reception desk to mimic the concept of a high-end boutique hotel. The finishes include stone flooring, stained oak wood, quartz countertops, decorative wall tiles and chic ceiling details. Furnishings are sleek with impactful, modern lighting and distinctive artwork.

The hot tub installation design closed in the spa only on 3 sides, leaving one side open for repair work. It’s also where the hot tub cover fits onto the spa. “We recently did a service call for them,” says Bill Renter. “The unenclosed area made it easy to open the control panel and check on the problem they were having. It turned out, in this case, not to be an issue with the hot tub at all. But I was able to diagnose the problem. They had an electricity issue and I recommended a particular switch the electrician could put in. I’m glad I was able to solve the issue for their electrician.”

I was hired to buy all the furniture and accessories, bring them in and place them so that the owners who lived abroad could rent this condo out furnished. This included pots and pans, towels, cutlery etc. Everything so that the renter could move right in. It was challenging but the result was rewarding. In the quite streets of southern Studio city a new, cozy and sub bathed bungalow was designed and built by us. The white stucco with the blue entrance doors (blue will be a color that resonated throughout the project) work well with the modern sconce lights. Inside you will find larger than normal kitchen for an ADU due to the smart L-shape design with extra compact appliances. The roof is vaulted hip roof (4 different slopes rising to the center) with a nice decorative white beam cutting through the space. The bathroom boasts a large shower and a compact vanity unit. Everything that a guest or a renter will need in a simple yet well designed and decorated garage conversion.
