When Monica Dean, the Emmy award winning anchor/reporter for NBC 7 News San Diego did her research for the best Backyard Home Courts available for her family, she chose SnapSports - http://www.snapsports.com - Nationwide #SNAPSPORTS

The main challenges we needed to overcome for this family were to better connect the dining room to the kitchen (by removing a wall), provide ample counter space and storage, allow for a bigger and more functional island and provide a small bar area for the grown-ups. We are happy to report we met and exceeded our clients’ expectations and they are thrilled!

As Sheila Gibson Stoodley writes in an article about this project in Robb Report, “Brian Hemingway is sensitive to light in the best way possible.”
“The Vancouver, British Columbia-based architect wanted this 22,000-square-foot home near Boston to glow like a lantern at night, and he attained that goal on behalf of the homeowners.” The wood and stone
that Hemingway favored for the home informed the space’s color palette. So critical were these materials that settling on a shade of stain for the Douglas fir and the finishes to be used on the Virginia Mist granite took
months of consultation.
Walker Zanger, the stone supplier, worked with the owner and with Colin Flavin, a Boston-based architect who partnered with Hemingway, to choose, detail, and fabricate the granite.
The stone is used indoors and out, heightening the boundary-blurring effect that the design team desired. Though the owners are ardent art collectors, they did not build their home to showcase specific works; the
real artists here are the architects, Hemingway and Flavin. So deft were they at inviting nature into their creation that, from certain angles, it can be hard to tell where the outdoors stops and starts.
“There are deliberately no window treatments so that Mother Nature weaves the most beautiful textural backgrounds,” said interior designer Andrew Sheinman, of New York’s Pembrooke & Ives. He oversaw the
interiors, working alongside his colleague Michael Lewis. “The seasons change the look and aspect of the house,” said Sheinman, “and we wanted to play on this.”
Bleu de Savoie marble, from France, is used in the baths, to contrast with the Virginia Mist granite and soften the palette and give the baths a spa-like serenity. Hand-chiseled Oxford Black granite is used on exterior landscape walls, to tie the Virginia Mist seamlessly to the natural stone outcroppings.

LOFT | Luxury Loft Transformation | FOUR POINT DESIGN BUILD INC
This ultra feminine luxury loft was designed for an up-and-coming fashion/travel writer. With 30' soaring ceiling heights, five levels, winding paths of travel and tight stairways, no storage at all, very little usable wall space, a tight timeline, and a very modest budget, we had our work cut out for us. Thrilled to report, the client loves it, and we completed the project on time and on budget.

Our homeowners came to us in need of a bathroom remodel. Unique to this design is that the toilet and shower are in a separate room from the vanity. The space is separated by a pocket door. The vanity area has no door to the master bedroom; it is an open concept. This makes the vanity area almost serve as a dressing area due to the proximity of the walk in closet (and open concept). The shower offers an oversized bench and niche. The homeowners enjoy the rain shower head which is ceiling mounted. They also have a hand held body sprayer. We partnered with DeWils Cabinetry and Cambria Quartz for the vanity area. Double vanities, with full height tower cabinets, complete with glass doors in the top shelf, are not only decorative but offer tons of organized storage for toiletries. One of the other features we love about this cabinetry is the use of a spice rack style cabinet pull out. Our clients report that it is the perfect size for their toiletries

My Duobed arrived yesterday and I am exceptionally pleased! It is exactly what I expected and needed! I recently moved into a smaller house, and my guest rooms are smaller than my previous home. One of them doubles as an office, and this became the problem room....how to provide good, comfortably sleeping arrangements yet maintain the function of my office, Having slept on a few conventional sofa beds I know they are always uncomfortable. I searched for quite a while and finally found Duobed! I choose the blue King Sleeper which is a rich, warm color. They were easily set up, and are VERY comfortable. I just had my first overnight guest who reported that the bed is great! It is just the right amount of firmness for a great night’s sleep, and is also very comfortable chair. When I'm not expecting guests, I remove one ottoman and put it in the living room to add an extra seat, and leave the other 3 in the office as a great couch! I have all the bedding stored inside, which frees up so much closet space! Great feature for people with limited storage! Very versatile! In fact I’m thinking of buying an additional back cushion and support arm to turn one of the ottomans into a chair! Fantastic product!
I would this product recommend to anyone!

Performing site analyses that include the assessment of current plants, soil conditions, lighting, the view, and architecture style of the house.
The ability to communicate well both with clients and other types of workers (contractors, supervisors, etc) on the landscaping team.
Researching topics such as plants and their ability to survive in an area, guidelines and codes.
Make public presentations when necessary to discuss the project, complete with charts, sketches, and so forth.
Reviewing plans, proposed changes, and any other necessary documents.

Home owners Ken & Bonnie never used their dining room. What they really wanted was a traditional library room to house their large collection of prized books! During their first floor facelift and kitchen renovation, Advance Design also created an elegant library room filled with beautiful architectural details that flowed effortlessly with the rest of the home’s stately design and thoughtful details.
“Advance Design’s master carpenter was a very patient perfectionist, cutting each and every little piece of trim until it came together with these intricate wood architectural details that we absolutely love!” reports Bonnie. “Our dining room was just a wasted room that we never used. We needed a place to store and display our extensive book collection, and now we have this amazing room that is an unexpected “wow” factor when guests walk in our front door”.
Advance Design placed hidden lighting inconspicuously to break to monotony of the books in a decorative shelf area where the family posts photos of children and family at special life events. The room looks out over the beautifully manicured front garden near the home’s entry, and is a most peaceful place to pull up a chair, drink some tea, and enjoy a good read.

THE SETUP
These homeowners had an outdoor kitchen built when they built their home several years ago. It was functional, but the aesthetic was underwhelming. The island was clad in the same stone that was on the house, and it had basic black granite countertops. They love to grill and host outdoor gatherings, so an upgrade was definitely in order.
Design Objectives:
Create an elevated outdoor space that aligns with the grandeur of the elegant home
Design of the new space should flow with the architecture of the house
Include a serving area with a beverage fridge, a sink, and a faucet
Allow for workspace in the grill area
Include island seating
THE REMODEL
Design Challenges:
Creating a layout that is in sync with the exterior architecture of the home
Sourcing the perfect state-of-the-art grill with all the latest bells and whistles, and placing in an ideal layout that maximizes functionality and hospitality
Specifying materials that will withstand the elements
Design Solutions:
A large curved island designed to mirror the curve of the home’s breakfast nook exterior
A separate sink area with a disposal and a beverage fridge offers a functional space for mixing drinks and serving food
Custom limestone posts echo the limestone details on the exterior of the home
Diresco Quartz countertops add elegance and durability – they are designed to be used outdoors in harsh climates
Decorative tile clads the sides and back of the island
A raised bed for flowers and herbs adds color and softness to the space
Undercounter lighting adds ambiance at night
THE RENEWED SPACE
From great backyard to true oasis – an outdoor kitchen makes makes elegant outdoor cooking and dining possible. The homeowners had their first outdoor kitchen cookout experience right away and report that they couldn’t be happier!

They are sure to always remain just as glossy and smooth as the first day they were installed, and we back it up with a LIFETIME WARRANTY.
