Remodel of existing house to update and refresh for turn around. Great location and a fun house to work with. Even with a lot of budgetary restrictions we were able to get a great result!

Project by Studio H:T principal in charge Brad Tomecek (now with Tomecek Studio Architecture). This urban infill project juxtaposes a tall, slender curved circulation space against a rectangular living space. The tall curved metal wall was a result of bulk plane restrictions and the need to provide privacy from the public decks of the adjacent three story triplex. This element becomes the focus of the residence both visually and experientially. It acts as sun catcher that brings light down through the house from morning until early afternoon. At night it becomes a glowing, welcoming sail for visitors.

Our latest project, Fish Camp, on Longboat Key, FL. This home was designed around tight zoning restrictions while meeting the FEMA V-zone requirement. It is registered with LEED and is expected to be Platinum certified. It is rated EnergyStar v. 3.1 with a HERS index of 50. The design is a modern take on the Key West vernacular so as to keep with the neighboring historic homes in the area.
The home unfolds to allow for water views from all rooms in the home, even on the very narrow lot. Ryan Gamma Photography

Vinyl fencing is a great option for those who want strong fencing that will last. Vinyl Fencing is virtually maintenance free and only needs occasional washing to keep it looking new. It provides a safe and secure barrier for pools, spas and restricted areas.

Space restriction? An adequate and ergonomic design allows you to benefit from a lot of space, even in a small kitchen.

When we first removed the lawn and piled up the soil, neighbors were wondering what the hell we were doing. Less than a year later, they are stopping by asking for plant identifications, and gardening advice. The best part of projects like this is that they often help softening HOA restrictions, a little bit at a time.
