View from the north. The garage, clad in cedar shingles, forms a sculptural extension of the curving roof surface. The deep roof overhangs allow the house to be without gutters and protect the interior from the harshest summer sun angles. The garage, located to the northwest, shields the house from the predominant winter winds. We renovated the family bathroom as a second phase of this project. The walls are finished with a textured glazed ceramic tile with a large framed niche cut out in the shower. The wall hung vanity has a white quartz top and extends to the edge of the tub in order to maximize space in a small bathroom.
