After. The double vanity was replaced with Cabico cabinetry with a “Mahogany” stain. The look was kept fuss-free using contrasting Silestone quartz countertops in the color “Calacatta Gold” from EuroStoneCraft. Three brushed nickel “Bratto” sconces by Kuzco Lighting flank the rectangular mirrors from West Elm.

The entry way of this home is grand yet simple and modern. The rich mahogany wood door and trellis pop against the elegant limestone and simple white concrete walkway. Planters full of drought tolerant native plants bring color and vibrancy adding a sense of drama as you ascend to the front door.

The apartment: 2,300 square feet on the 14th floor of a prewar building across from the Museum of Natural History designed for a family with two school-age children. A loft-like living room, dining room and kitchen share spectacular north facing views over the museum and Central Park. Freestanding storage cabinets with clear glass above subdivide the space and enhance the feeling of openness. The owner requested a neutral palette of colors set against white walls and rich mahogany cabinetry. The custom wine racks we utilized were crafted from mahogany; a sturdy wood, with minimum odor and a beautiful hue. As pictured in the wine cellar renderings, X-bin and individual bottle wine racks comprise a great deal of this storage space. A horizontal display rack can also be seen, to the bottom left.
