This kitchen is the soul of the home—an artful blend of beauty, warmth, and workhorse practicality. Designed with intention, it had to solve for a tricky layout, with three doorways and plenty of household traffic, all while creating a central gathering space our clients would love for years to come.
We began by reimagining the flow, carving out generous stations for prep, cooking, and casual gathering. A large center island—complete with seating and hidden ovens—acts as the kitchen’s command post. On the range wall, Fireclay’s Perian Star tile brings a jolt of joy and movement, playing perfectly against the stunning brass hood from CopperHoods.
Layered lighting, rich materials, and tonal contrasts keep the space feeling grounded yet special. Tedd Wood custom cabinetry is rendered in both soft Pumice and Sherwin-Williams Rock Garden—a pairing that balances earthy calm with playful personality. Cambria Inverness Gold quartz countertops pull it all together with subtle shimmer and warmth.
It’s a kitchen designed to feel vibrant and lived in, with details that elevate the everyday—like appliance garages, open shelving for cookbooks, and Brizo fixtures that deliver beauty in every function. Finishing touches like Restoration Hardware lighting and Cedar & Moss sconces help define each moment within this layered, luminous space.

This bold and colourful kitchen was designed to meet the owners’ dream of entertaining large groups in their alpine vacation home. With an open concept main floor, the large island connects the chef to the space. Beautiful show kitchen connects to the living and dining rooms, promoting conversation, while the prep kitchen gives a functional working space.
High gloss blue cabinets accented with gold fixtures give the show kitchen a luxury feel. Grounding wood ceiling and flooring keep the space feeling comfortable and warm. Full height quartz backsplash creates a clean finish.
Prep kitchen includes added fridge/freezer, prep area, pantry, double oven, warming drawer, and two raised dishwashers. Layout of open-ended galley-style prep kitchen allows multiple people to work together. White cabinets provide clean base. Accessible with pantry rollouts, pull out bins, cookie sheet slots, etc. State of the art workstation prep sink. Groceries come in through the mudroom door.
As an alpine retreat, the owners wanted to feel connected to the natural landscape. Bright blue skies of Big White reflect inside even on the foggiest days. Heavy snowfalls meant keeping the space open required hefty structural components. Structural timbers, glulams, and log posts are integrated into the design as a rustic accent. Used as a feature, the glulam beam holds the island pendants. With sightlines from the front entry to the expansive view windows, this kitchen is the central space for everyone to gather.

New and remodeled outdoor spaces outfitted with front and back landscaping and hardscaping. Fire pits, sod, hot tub areas, pergolas, attached and detached arbors, pools, bbq pits, walkways and artificial turf.

A 43” diameter heritage pecan guided the plan of this neighborhood-scaled, modestly-priced, single-story, L-shaped house. In Austin’s seemingly perpetual drought, the goal was to create a symbiotic relationship between house and tree: to complement, not combat each other. The roof’s east/west parallel ridges create a valley directly across from the base, where water is collected at a grate, nourishing the tree. The roof also maximizes south facing surfaces, elevated at 15 degrees for future solar collection. The open, public spaces of the home maximize the north-south light. The private zone of the bedrooms and bathrooms include a generous gallery; its angled walls and large sliding doors are faceted about the tree. The pecan becomes a central focus for indoor and outdoor living, participating in the house in both plan and section. The design welcomes and nurtures the tree as integral to its success. In back, the first of three courtyards sits closest to the home. Tall hedges separate this space from the driveway and provide a sense of sanctuary that radiates into the home's interior. The bird bath beyond draws visitors to central patio.

Our clients had purchased a lot on Lake Charlevoix and they hired us to help them design their family vacation home and that is what we did.
You are welcomed into the home by a traditional double column gabled entry
porch. This classic cottage design features an open floor plan with cathedral
ceilings in the living room and plenty of natural light to capture views. The
fireplace with built-ins serves as a beautiful focal point. The home has a
master suite on the main level as well as another guest suite. The kitchen is
warm and welcoming with a central island and plenty of counter space. A 3/4
bath is located off the mudroom / laundry area which also features a beach
entry to minimize sand coming into the home. Ship-lap finish is throughout
the first floor living spaces. The second floor has two guest bedrooms with
dormers facing the view, a full bathroom, loft area and plenty of storage. We
employed an efficient use of space with four bedrooms and four baths in just
under 3000 square feet. The 2 1/2 car garage has stairs leading to a bonus
room. The exterior finishes are low maintenance using a mixture of lap siding,
shake siding and board and batten detailing. Standing seam metal roofing
emphasizes the window seat and highlights exterior porches. Raised panels
also highlight bump outs and other exterior details.

A primary project goal was to reimagine the relationship of the house to its surroundings while remaining sensitive to the communal context of the neighboring properties. The design seed of the new project included rotating the footprint of the existing house 90 degrees to open the long side of the home toward the lake, maximizing views and gaining optimal benefit of the linear site. Drawing inspiration from the traditional lake vernacular of the neighboring houses, the two principal roof forms of the new house reciprocate the setting -- the modern, clean lines of the upper gable roof upholds the clarity and tradition of the neighborhood, while the lower roof mimics the extension of the landscape and invites improvisational use. The horizontal flat roof allows use of the deck in all weather and cantilevers the most used public spaces into the landscape in a band of captured horizontal space. A wood-clad retaining wall refines a cut into the earth and harbors a transitional, outdoor room between the water and the basement.
At 2200 finished square feet, the conditioned building envelope is compact. And like the exterior, the interior form responds directly to its use. The upper floor is a monastic repetition of modest sleeping cells and bathrooms with unique directional views, combined with a grand central stair and master bedroom at each corner that captures myriad views of the water, over the trees, in all directions.
The main floor utilizes a core of small, functional spaces to shield the adjacent road, and forms a backdrop to the open interior spaces. Aided by the reaching, cedar-bellied roof, the living, dining, and kitchen spaces spill to the outdoors through an unusually porous exterior wall. Three sliding glass doors–including one at 20 feet wide–and a finished, surrounding ground plane cohere the landscape to the main living level.
Super-insulated wood-framed walls, triple-paned aluminum-clad wood windows, and a structurally insulated roof panels make-up the core of the building envelope, and additional exterior high-performance design features include geothermal heating/cooling and a green roof. Cementitious lap siding, concrete panels, hardwood decking, cedar soffits, and river rock comprise the exterior finish. In addition to cedar ceilings, interior finishes include porcelain ceramic tile, cork flooring, tight pile wool carpet, and neutral painted walls -- designed in quiet tones to highlight the most important interior ingredient: views outside.

A Lovely 1100 sq. bungalow in the heart of Silverlake stood untouched for almost half a century.
This home as built was a 2 bedrooms + 1 bathroom with a good size living room.
Client purchased it for the sake of turning it into a rental property.
With a few good internal twists and space planning we converted this little bungalow into a full blown 3bed + 2.5 bath with a master suite.
All of this without adding even 1 square inch to the building.
Kitchen was moved to a more central location; a portion of a closet was converted into a powder room and the old utility room/laundry was turned into the master bathroom.

This project consisted of 2 different murals. The hallway mural is of a Japanese stylized wave that flows from wall to wall with the sunset overhead. The scene is very dramatic, as well as colorful. The second mural is a central Texas landscape. It features a brook, a ranch, the moon, an assortment of flora and fauna (cacti, mushrooms, deer, squirrel, bats) and an oak tree with a hawk perched upon one of it’s limbs. All of which is surrounded by a colorful sunset.

This rectangular, sun-drenched pool area is flawlessly integrated into the vast, open landscape, offering a feeling of luxurious escape. The design features a clean-lined pool with an elegant water feature that adds a gentle, soothing ambiance. An adjacent raised, square spa, clad in warm-toned natural stone, provides the ultimate spot for year-round indulgence and relaxation.
The expansive, light-colored decking defines the outdoor living space, thoughtfully sectioning areas for activity. Central to the lounge area is a square fire pit, also finished in coordinating stone, perfect for evening gatherings. Comfort is paramount, with elegant, suspended cantilever umbrellas providing shade for the tanning loungers, while a row of classic wooden rocking chairs lines the perimeter, offering a picturesque spot to take in the unobstructed views of the surrounding countryside. This design beautifully balances modern amenities with the tranquility of a rustic setting.

This newly transformed landscape in Evans, GA turned a neglected patch of dirt into a clean, eye-catching centerpiece. We designed and installed fresh stone borders, premium mulch beds, decorative rock pathways, and new seasonal plants — creating symmetry and contrast around the central tree. This Evans landscaping project now delivers curb appeal with low maintenance, perfect for relaxing or entertaining outdoors.
