Moonlight natural thin stone veneer form the Quarry Mill adds curb appeal to the exterior of this beautiful home. Moonlight is arguably our most unique natural stone veneer. The stone has an exotic look and feel to it and literally sparkles. The natural schist has a heavy grain which causes the pieces to split into more of an angled edge as opposed to the roughly squared edges of our other dimensional stones. Moonlight thin stone veneer has a nice course and rippled texture. The color the stone appears is highly dependent on the light around it as shades of black and white show through. The clean dimensional style offsets the eye-catching color and sparkles of the stone.

Custom Home Theater The creative minds behind Theater Monster put their heads together to develop an inspired and unique home theater for the residents of this particular home. They wanted to design a rustic theater that their client would be proud to show to guests, so it was a must to think outside the box. After conducting extensive research, Eldorado Stone was selected to meet their design needs and Autumn Leaf RoughCut was applied to the main walls. Additionally, they incorporated further visual appeal by constructing a modern, rolling tongue and groove ceiling to resemble a sound wave. Surprisingly, the use of architectural stone veneer in this space didn’t interfere with the quality of sound throughout the home theater. The rough edges of the stone helped to break up the sound waves emitted from the sound system and resulted in an even emission of sound in this space. Smooth walls typically cause refraction of sound unless heavily insulated, so the stone did double-duty by not only looking aesthetically appealing but also acting as natural insulation. Considering this was the first time the professionals at Theater Monster veered from more standard materials and utilized stone in a theater, they couldn’t have been happier with the end result. After tearing out the over-sized and virtually unused bathtub we were able to provide the client with an open walk in shower with no door, resulting in the spacious shower she had always wanted.

Inspiration for a contemporary dining room remodel in Portland

The combination of Rustic and Craftsman styles with a modern add-on of high end appliances and a modern layout created this masterpiece of a kitchen. The cabinets are painted off-white with antique glazing on it and the island is completely built from 100 year old reclaimed wood. the hardware is distressed iron finish and a black cement farmhouse sink all add to the story this kitchen tells. The full height pantry wall holds the 36" fridge, a built-in microwave space, the built-in espresso machine and a hidden door to the laundry room hiding in a room behind. We have intentionally did only 2 small wall mounted cabinets and instead opt with two 92" windows to allow maximum natural light, this also creates an open feeling in the work space. The edge detail of the island countertop is hand chiseled to give a rough sensation and works wonderfully with the reclaimed wood island, while the main countertop boasts a straight edge detail to give a modern touch.
