Vintage Cellars & SaunasThis homeowner had extensive collections of both high end wines and bourbon. Wine and bourbon require completely different storage solutions, so naturally, two unique and completely separate rooms were created to showcase them both. The homeowners were fantastic in meeting with our team to collaborate on a bourbon room and wine cellar design that worked within their special spaces and budget.
The House itself has a rustic, yet refined and modern farmhouse feel throughout. The modern, elegant, yet vintage style look of the small wine cellar, especially, fit seamlessly with the interior design.
The Bourbon cellar is not cooled, but resides in a shaded interior section within the house as to maintain a constant temperature. Additionally, with close proximity to the Pacific Ocean, sunny Ladera Ranch, a community in Orange County, California never really sees average temperatures above 80 Degrees.
The Bourbon Room showcases a custom wrought iron door, and upon entering features a modular style show cabinet with multiple levels. Custom wine cellar doors, and custom wrought iron doors truly add that special feeling and look to your walk in wine room. A door used for a wine room would be fitted with dual pane glass as to better maintain temperature and humidity within. A room such as this could also double as craft beer storage. Beer storage, requires bottles to stand straight up as to not rust the cap, as well as compress any remaining yeast residues at the bottom of the bottle instead of mixed throughout. Craft beer as a whole has become an incredibly burgeoning industry, especially in places like San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, and San Francisco in California, and Portland in Oregon.
The small wine cellar / wine closet / wine room is located right off the kitchen, allowing easy access for social gatherings or just to bring out that special wine with dinner. This small walk in wine cellar incorporates a custom wrought iron door as well, fitted with glass as discussed prior.
The wine room has one solid wall of individual bottle storage, leading into the showcase wall with room for case storage and more individual bottle storage above the countertop and decanting area. The homeowner also shows a rogar wine bottle opener - a rustic, yet timeless contemporary style that's here to stay in wine rooms, wine closets, and large custom wine cellars throughout the US.

Drury DesignThis new primary suite closet is part of a larger remodeling project that also involved a new primary bathroom, an additional bathroom and a large kitchen.
The master suite remodel included converting a long and narrow master bath, a large closet and two awkward baths into a true primary bath oasis. The closet was moved to a new location.
The goal was to create a modern his and hers closet that offered thoughtful organization while maximizing the storage potential of the space. Other needs included space for hampers, a place to iron and a designated space for Indian saris without natural light.
Design challenges:
-Arranging everything: hanging bars, drawers, shoe storage and safes
Design solutions and nice touches:

The folding bench seat can be sprayed from either shower head and the recessed can light keeps things visible. Grab bars surround the user for safety. A recessed shampoo storage niche is enhanced using random glass mosaic tiles.

Living Gardens Landscape DesignOur homeowner was looking for a garden that she could entertain in, but that was also safe for her young grandson. We built a patio cover for dining, a lounging area with a gas burning firepit, and created a sandy beach play area complete with shells, pebbles, and a hummingbird water spout for making sand castles. Newly planted, these plants still need to grown in. We used pea gravel for the main area, natural washed concrete for the pathways, and Mexican beach pebbles between the concrete pads.

RenovisionsThese homeowners approached Renovisions to remodel their master bath. With their kids off at college it was time to do something for themselves. They wanted an elegant upscale look with a spacious shower with glass enclosure, a high-end whirlpool bathtub and custom built in for towels. Their existing tub presented a safety issue when they opened & closed the windows which were located directly behind the tub. The new design includes a free standing tub/whirlpool with custom rounded and removable wood panels to access electrical and plumbing components. This allows a safe pass way around the tub as well as a more open feel. The adjacent shower boasts a generous space with an open style created by the use of 3/8” shower glass enclosure on 2 sides. Custom cubbies and corner seat were built into the Crema marfil marble tiles.
12″x24″ porcelain tiles were installed in a herringbone pattern providing a beautiful and unique appearance setting a neutral stage to showcase the burgundy cherry custom vanities with beaded detail and matching tower with Victorian glass.
Crema Marfil marble countertops on the vanities and slab on tub featured ogee edges lending a real elegant feel to the room. The Piece de Resistance was the exquisite antique brass widespread faucets, hand held shower, shower head, matching antique brass accessories and cabinet hardware all decorated with Swarovski cut crystals.

Adaptiv DCTHEME At some point, every little boy imagines himself a cowboy riding horseback, herding cattle over the wooded plains and warring with ferocious outlaws. High noon or not, in this room, the Wild West is brought to life in fantastic detail with a Chuck Wagon bed, Western-style drawers and a variety of room accents. FOCUS The room’s central feature is the Chuck Wagon bed, a companion to Kidtropolis’ signature Princess bed. Replicating a Chuck Wagon in every respect, this version of Old West transport comes complete with wagon wheels, a canvas canopy, and even a ladder. Accessories such as a frying pan, lantern, bucket, rope and milk barrel set the stage for life on the range; while pictures of cowboys, Indians, teepees, campfires and tengallon hats evoke images of the OK Corral. Stuffed horses, a small wagon and pup tent add to the atmosphere. STORAGE The wagon’s front high seat serves as a changing table complete with pad. Convenient storage areas are located in the back and in the side box. GROWTH The Chuck Wagon bed works as a baby crib and is suitable for a toddler up to the age of four. SAFETY A safety railing around the walls of the bed prevent baby from falling out, and can be removed when needed. Wheels and accessories are immobile to ensure the wagon is safe for rest and play.

Vintage Cellars - Luxury Custom Wine Cellars LAWe created a stellar custom small wine cellar design for a couple who had lost their home and wine collection in the wildfires in Rancho Bernardo in North County San Diego, California in 2007. We encountered some challenges in this project.
The room where the client wanted to build the wine cellar was relatively small, and we needed to hide a beam that runs through the left wall. We provided a wine storage solution that solved the construction issues and met our client's requirements.
This glass enclosed, contemporary yet rustic small wine room features magnum storage, individual bottle redwood wine racking, diamond bins, wine case storage, horizontal displays, as well as a section in the wall for liquor storage. Wine Cellar Builders at Vintage Cellars were able to construct this wine room after bumping out a wall in the client's kitchen for additional storage space. This added 80 square feet more to the tiny room on the second floor.
We framed the small wine closet before installing the racking for the Rancho Bernardo San Diego California wine cellar. We also installed the proper insulation and vapor barrier to protect our client's wine from damage, and to prevent wine cooling system or wine cooling unit breakdowns.

Amazing SpacesThis is a multi-functional space serving as side entrance, mudroom, laundry room and walk-in pantry all within in a footprint of 125 square feet. The mudroom wish list included a coat closet, shoe storage and a bench, as well as hooks for hats, bags, coats, etc. which we located on its own wall. The opposite wall houses the laundry equipment and sink. The front-loading washer and dryer gave us the opportunity for a folding counter above and helps create a more finished look for the room. The sink is tucked in the corner with a faucet that doubles its utility serving chilled carbonated water with the turn of a dial.
The walk-in pantry element of the space is by far the most important for the client. They have a lot of storage needs that could not be completely fulfilled as part of the concurrent kitchen renovation. The function of the pantry had to include a second refrigerator as well as dry food storage and organization for many large serving trays and baskets. To maximize the storage capacity of the small space, we designed the walk-in pantry cabinet in the corner and included deep wall cabinets above following the slope of the ceiling. A library ladder with handrails ensures the upper storage is readily accessible and safe for this older couple to use on a daily basis.
A new herringbone tile floor was selected to add varying shades of grey and beige to compliment the faux wood grain laminate cabinet doors. A new skylight brings in needed natural light to keep the space cheerful and inviting. The cookbook shelf adds personality and a shot of color to the otherwise neutral color scheme that was chosen to visually expand the space.
Storage for all of its uses is neatly hidden in a beautifully designed compact package!

Frameless tempered shower glass provides depth and an improved lighting scheme illuminates the master bath for vision and contrast. Ivory honed Travertine tile lines the floor and continues as a 2"x2" mosaic tile at the shower floor to prevent slipping.
The homeowners functional needs were met with three sturdy grab bars to aid with balance within the shower and toilet area. A Kohler Tresham toilet was selected in comfort height, and a Delta Dryden sink faucet for ease of use.
The vanity location with ample countertop surface for dual use contributes to a direct path to the shower and toilet area in the new layout.
Painted maple cabinetry emulates the home's elegant woodwork detailing with beautiful crown molding extending over the vanity mirror.
To reinforce flow, provide low maintenance durability and meet the homeowner's timeless taste, the shower walls and bathroom wainscot are adorned with an oversized ceramic subway tile and classic cap.
Travertine floor tile and curved shower mosaic ceiling compliment the painted cabinet and tranquil wall color. The decorative glass mosaic wainscot banding tile, shower feature wall and accessory corner lends itself to the calming waters of their childhood homes in Puerto Rico, close to the homeowners' hearts.
