Living room - large eclectic formal and open concept medium tone wood floor and beige floor living room idea in Other with beige walls, no fireplace and a tv stand

This condo is in an industrial redevelopment district in Jersey City, right across from Manhattan. Before, the dated wooden cabinets and black granite was not in synch with the modern loft look. Ceilings were low (7'2"), light was weak. The peninsula/breakfast bar under stairs was awkward, and the laundry jut out, making the entrance too narrow and claustrophobic. First, we raised the ceiling 7 inches, and straightened the sight lines, widening the entry to the condo. We then put down white hardwood floors, white acrylic cabinets from IKEA, Caesarstone quartz counters, and Bosch appliances. The laundry was brought into the kitchen. We also added a second 1 foot wide 9 foot long counter space with cabinets underneath, making this a galley kitchen. We used stainless legs and uppers to make the 2nd row of cabinets, which kept the kitchen from feeling narrow. We extended the kitchen into the living room, extending it 5 ft longer, and making it open concept and functional. The floating staircase was covered to keep it sanitary. Finally, we used a large format tile as backsplash, making clean up a breeze and put in LED undercabinet lights. The most expensive part of the project was raising the ceiling and straightening the entrance, which cost about $10,000. We splurged on Bosch 800 appliances, top of the line flooring (Mohawk Architexture), countertop (Caesarstone), tile (Porcelanosa), and doors (Ringhult IKEA) but managed to stay under $20,000 otherwise. The kitchen was part of a full renovation designed by the owner, and undertaken by Nazco Interiors.

We are very passionate about quality home design, and this project was no exception! From the multi colored gray fish scale mosaic to the windows over the black and white cabinetry, we truly loved every aspect.
In this kitchen project we wanted an oversized and grand seating island for entertaining, while still seeking an open light and bright feel. We began this design with good functionality in mind, and so we added two casement windows that we knew would give plenty of bright natural light. These windows would also offer the ability to grow some fresh herbs and even cool off those delicious baked goods. Next we opened up the main walkway by placing a waterfall feature on the right side of the island, and then added some drama with a pot filler in an accented wall niche, crisp Cloud-white shelving, and bold black and white cabinetry. These features combined achieved every aspect of our vision for this home, and we truly feel it will serve its family very well.
WHAT WE USED: In this kitchen we chose Cloud white and Storm stained cabinetry along with a Delta Trinsic pot filler and sink faucet in Arctic Stainless. The backsplash is a Gray White-multi fish scale mosaic, and the countertops are a Misty Carrera quartz. The flooring is a luxury vinyl plank in Napoli-Sand, and the wall and ceiling color are painted in SW Agreeable Gray.
TIPS: A waterfall countertop feature provides easier (and possibly more sanitary) maintenance, along with more durability. By using countertops such as quartz in high traffic side areas, one better ensures the longevity of the finish. Quartz is a non-porous product and therefore is much easier to wipe off and disinfect, and is less likely to scratch.

Stainless steel interiors and exteriors of the Perlick system provides the most sanitary surface to simplify cleaning. The Perlick system includes custom drink rails and drains for making drinks and protecting the counter, speed rails provide easy access to frequently used bottles, drain boards for glassware to the immediate left, a corner filler area dry storage cabinet, an under bar ice chest for easy access which minimizes the time to mix drinks, and a sink and food prep area. A pocket door with water glass opens to reveal the wine cellar.

This Custom Glass Wrought Iron Back Splash is hand caved by Artist Melissa Paxton of Glass River Design. The piece is coated with pure copper with slight color variations to achieve this one of a kind effect. Easy to install and maintain, this back splash is a true work of art in glass.

Opera Prima
Cubicle, Mirror, Wall Lamps.
Lightness of line for aesthetic incisiveness, classic but contemporary. A recurrent theme, the irregular octagon, is the conceptual protagonist in this composition comprising a cubicle, mirror, and wall lamps. Octagons can be found in the shape of the side surface, the mirror frame, in the refined details of the signature seals. It is also original in the exclusive use of a single material, forged brass in different shapes, tubular and flat, the results of the highest Italian craft skills.
A refined style striking for the effect of tension between a classical confidence of line and the futuristic allusions of the metal.
Every item is made in compliance with the strictest sanitary standards and so guaranteed lead free.
It is available in four surface finishes: chrome, nickel, gold, and bronze in combination with an equal number of marble varieties for the side surface, Carrara white, Marquinia black, Paonazzo, and Portoro.
