Your kitchen is more than just a cooking space; it's the heart of your home—a place for family gatherings, shared meals, and unforgettable memories. If you're here, chances are you're dreaming of a kitchen upgrade that better serves your needs while enhancing its beauty and functionality. Whether you're aiming for a sleek modern design, a functional workspace, or a charming rustic vibe, finding the right kitchen remodel services is key to turning that dream into reality.
This guide will walk you through everything you need to know about choosing the best kitchen remodel near me. From understanding your specific needs to identifying reliable services, we've got you covered.
Understanding Your Unique Kitchen Remodeling Needs
Before hiring a kitchen remodel service, it’s essential to pinpoint why you're looking to remodel in the first place. Knowing your priorities will help you make informed decisions and ensure you choose a service that aligns with your vision.
1. Functionality Upgrades
Is your kitchen outdated or inefficient? Maybe you're dealing with limited countertop space or outdated appliances that make cooking a hassle. A remodel can help optimize the layout and incorporate modern solutions, such as smart appliances or ergonomic cabinets.
2. Aesthetic Enhancements
Perhaps you’re looking to give your kitchen a fresh, stylish look that reflects your personality. Whether it’s a chic industrial design or a cozy farmhouse style, professional remodelers can help bring your aesthetic dreams to life.
3. Improved Home Value
A beautifully renovated kitchen is one of the top features potential buyers look for. According to real estate experts, a well-designed kitchen remodel can deliver up to a 70%-80% return on investment.
4. Lifestyle Changes
Has your family grown? Do you cook at home more often now? Your kitchen should adapt to these shifts, accommodating more people or making meal prep seamless.
Clearly outlining your specific goals will make it easier to choose home remodeling contractor professionals who can meet (and exceed) your expectations.
Researching for the Best Kitchen Remodel Services Near Me
Once you’ve defined your needs, the next step is to start researching. But how do you pinpoint the best kitchen remodelers in your area? Here are actionable tips:
1. Read Reviews and Testimonials
Start by checking online reviews on platforms like Google, Yelp, and Houzz. Look for consistently positive feedback, with special attention paid to customer comments about quality, communication, and timelines.
2. Check Portfolios
A picture is worth a thousand words—and reading about a remodeling company’s success isn’t enough. Browse their portfolio to ensure the quality of their work aligns with what you’re envisioning.
3. Ask for Recommendations
Word of mouth is still one of the best ways to find trustworthy services. Ask friends, family, or coworkers if they’ve worked with a remodeling service they’d recommend.
4. Look for Professional Credentials
Make sure the companies you’re vetting hold all required licenses, certifications, and insurance. It’s a sign of their professionalism and ensures accountability.
5. Conduct Interviews
Consider meeting with a few top contenders. Ask about their experience, approach to projects similar to yours, and estimated costs. Don’t shy away from asking detailed questions—it’s important to feel confident in your choice.
By thoroughly researching, you'll narrow down your options and find a remodeler who matches your vision, budget, and style.
Key Factors to Consider Before Hiring
Deciding on the right kitchen remodel near me is about more than just skills. Here are some critical factors to weigh before signing any contracts.
1. Set a Clear Budget
It’s important to have a realistic budget in mind before you begin. A reliable remodeler will respect your financial boundaries and offer solutions that maximize your investment without overspending.
2. Outline Your Timeline
Discussing deadlines ensures the project starts and finishes on time. Make sure the remodeler can meet your schedule without compromising quality.
3. Communication is Key
Clear communication is essential. You want experts who listen carefully to your needs, explain their process, and keep you updated throughout the project.
4. Warranties and Guarantees
Always ask if the service provides warranties for craftsmanship and materials. It’s a sign they stand by the quality of their work.

DARIS BROWN, WRITER
If you think choosing the right shingle color is hard, you are not alone. With an endless array of colors to choose from, getting started can be difficult. But don't worry – we’ve got a great system to help you pick the perfect shingle color. If you are ready to look at shingles in a way you probably never have before, our three-step process can help you choose the color that works best for your home.
Choosing By Style
Before you can start flipping through a collection of earth-tone samples, you need to determine which shingle style best fits your home — and your price range. You don’t want to waste time falling in love with a beautiful shade of brown (let’s say hickory) if it’s not available in a style you like.
Most homeowners are not aware that shingles come in different styles, including three-tab, architectural and slate-look.
Three-Tab: These shingles have a traditional, flatter look and are considered the most affordable. They also are available in a wide range of colors.
Slate: These asphalt shingles, as the name reveals, are meant to mimic the look of slate but offer the easy care and affordability of asphalt. They come in a variety of colors.
Architectural: Also known as laminated or dimensional shingles, architectural shingles are manufactured with aesthetic appeal in mind. Layered to resemble wood shake, they are thicker and provide a more dimensional, interesting look than traditional three-tab shingles.
Choosing By Features
By comparing the available features, you can systematically narrow down your options to determine the best shingle available. Here are a few features to consider:
Class 4 Impact Resistance – Do you live in an area of the country that experiences regular hailstorms? Class 4 impact resistant shingles deliver superior impact resistance to help protect your home during hail season.
Algae Resistance – How humid is your region? Do you see roofs all around you with black streaks? Shingles manufactured with Scotchgard Protector help resist those ugly black streaks caused by algae.
High Wind Rating – Do you get nervous anytime a strong wind blows? Shingles with high wind resistance, up to 130 mph wind speed coverage, are designed to stay put – and look good in the process.
Comprehensive Warranty Protection – Do you want to feel secure with your investment? For maximum protection and warranty coverage, have a full roof system installed and receive an enhanced Premium Protection Period for total peace of mind.
Extensive Color Palette – Are you tired of plain black shingles? Get ready for an explosion of color, as there are many different options available. Woodland Green, Desert Shake, Burnt Sienna and Pristine Oyster are a few of the many great colors you can explore.
Choosing By Color
By choosing shingle style and features first, you can significantly narrow your list of colors. Now go through your shortened list and pick the best color for your home. You could match the shingle color to your shutters or door. If you want to enhance your home, lighter-colored shingles can help make it look bigger. Finally, opposites attract. If you have a light-colored home, you can go with a dark roof, and vice-versa for a dark-colored home. The contrast will help your entire home pop. Don’t be afraid to spread out your sample boards and make a side-by-side comparison to help with your selection process. Likewise, don't hesitate to lean on the advice of your roofer. Years of experience and thousands of homes roofed make them a valuable resource for homeowners trying to choose the best shingle color.
Choosing By Heart
While many homeowners will go straight to color, taking a methodical approach often provides better results. Take a step back. Decide what style you truly like and what features are available, and the best color for your home will fall right into your lap. Visit AtlasRoofing.com for a quick start to your shingle selection process. Atlas offers a broad range of beautiful designer colors and styles, which makes it easy to find an exceptional shingle to boost your home’s curb appeal.

The two rooms flanking the entryway ( Dining room and Lounge area) have dramatic ceilings that allow for cove lighting, down lighting, chandeliers and overall a variety of lighting options that, once the abundant daylight disappears, the spaces can be set up according to mood and function.

While most people in town considered this building a "tear-down", the new homeowners wanted to revive the property with an ambitions renovation and addition project. Two major challenges needed to be overcome on this project: the first was preserving the integrity of the original 200 year old barn; the second was designing a complementary structure that would co-exist on the site without looking like a 21st century addition.
In order to achieve these goals, our team studied how farm buildings evolve on a site over time. Additions are usually constructed based on need and function. With this protocol in mind, a grain silo was designed to act as our entry tower and buffer the intersection of the two buildings. The silo acts as our focal point and allowed us to construct very simple buildings to house the balance of the owner’s program. The team paid very close attention to scale, use of materials (many of which were recycled) and developed a vocabulary of modern interior detailing that would complement the original house.
Specific program requirements for the project included: large entertainment spaces, gourmet kitchen with adjacent family room, a squash court, multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, master suite, and plenty of storage space. In addition, since both adults work from home and receive clients in their offices, two offices needed to be created and it was critical to separate the work areas for the more private family spaces. The new silo, with central stair, became the element that allowed these different program needs to coexist effectively.

This small apartment kitchen was totally transformed. We opened up the side wall to create a more open space. The shaker door style with a rich espresso stain contrasts beautifully against the white kashmir granite countertops. We decided to use smaller scaled appliances in this space. We even were able to design a mini bar with an under counter wine cooler!

House hunting for the perfect home is never easy. Our recent clients decided to make the search a bit easier by enlisting the help of Sharer Design Group to help locate the best “canvas” for their new home. After narrowing down their list, our designers visited several prospective homes to determine each property’s potential for our clients’ design vision. Once the home was selected, the Sharer Design Group team began the task of turning the canvas into art.
The entire home was transformed from top to bottom into a modern, updated space that met the vision and needs of our clients. The kitchen was updated using custom Sharer Cabinetry with perimeter cabinets painted a custom grey-beige color. The enlarged center island, in a contrasting dark paint color, was designed to allow for additional seating. Gray Quartz countertops, a glass subway tile backsplash and a stainless steel hood and appliances finish the cool, transitional feel of the room.
The powder room features a unique custom Sharer Cabinetry floating vanity in a dark paint with a granite countertop and vessel sink. Sharer Cabinetry was also used in the laundry room to help maximize storage options, along with the addition of a large broom closet. New wood flooring and carpet was installed throughout the entire home to finish off the dramatic transformation. While finding the perfect home isn’t easy, our clients were able to create the dream home they envisioned, with a little help from Sharer Design Group.

From drab and outdated, to a fantastic modern farmhouse feel, Architectural Ceramics designers were able to give these residents the kitchen of their dreams with the help of the latest trend in tile- cement! Cement tiles are made one at a time by hand, with blends of cement, marble powder, fine sand, and natural mineral color pigments to create the patterns the world has fallen in love with. After helping the client narrow down their favorite selections from Architectural Ceramic’s thousands of high quality tile options, a custom concrete design in shades of blue and grey for their backsplash turned out to be the perfect match to the rest of the kitchen. Architectural Ceramics designers eagerly work to make your project their top priority with a one of a kind design you can brag about for years to come. Our energetic client came to us with a design challenge – take a broken-up layout, make it flow, and add a French flair. And, it was imperative that we maximize storage and make the whole space kid and dog friendly.
This interior design project was a true collaboration. When we began, the kitchen and the dining room were completely separate spaces. Our down2earth interior design team proposed layouts that ranged from modest interventions (retaining the wall that divided the dining room and kitchen), to moderate interventions that left a partial wall in place, to major realignments that opened the space wide up. By creating design drawings for these different levels of intervention, the homeowners were able to view the pros and cons and price the different options. Happily, after having engineers verify that it was doable, they chose a wide open layout, which allows these party people to have a fabulous entertaining space.
Once the layouts for the kitchen and dining room were established, it was time to collaborate with the builder on lighting placement and with the woodworker to get all the little details right, such as dog dishes in the blue island and specialized storage at the perimeter. The wood fumehood was part of the homeowners’ original vision and is the focal point of the back wall. The brass and glass shelves over the bar cabinets were sourced by the homeowners as well, and we worked within the company’s offerings to get the proportions just right. A brass bar was added to the toe-kick area of the custom designed breakfast nook to match the brass bar shelf brackets and support little feet. Lighting, furniture, upholstered bench cushions, and drapery all soften the space and provide that desired French flair. Counter tops are super white leather granite.

Our busy Silicon Valley clients asked us to convert their tight-quartered 1960’s ranch house to a gracious family home that would meet their long term needs. Ease of living was paramount, both in functionality and in ordered design.
The project was completed on a moderate budget. While retaining most of the structure of the existing house to avoid costly structural changes, we opened walls to improve the sight lines and flow of the house and bring in more light. We made small additions at the front and back bedrooms to gain space for the family and relatives. An existing underused patio area was improved with a simple outdoor kitchen and overhang to extend the living space to the outside. Costs were kept down with choices of modest materials.
Everything was made to be functional. Ample storage has been built into the right places. The details of the kitchen were carefully worked out to accommodate all the wishes of the various cooks in the family. The house is set up to be easy to keep clean. Acoustic walls separate living from bedroom spaces so adults can enjoy time together while children sleep. The outdoor kitchen has easy access to the indoor kitchen and the garage, and its setup promotes socializing while cooking outdoors.
A large part of the narrow back yard was previously unusable space due to a steep slope up to a neighbor’s higher fence. With a new retaining wall and some re-grading we took back more of the yard for the patio and play space on a new lawn.
The remodeled house is a mix of contemporary and traditional elements. Cool colors have a calming effect. Traditional items such as prairie style windows, trellis, mosaic tiles, and Shaker style cabinets, break down the scale in an otherwise streamlined, contemporary design. A new gabled roof with a broad arch at the front of the house marks the entry and resolves a challenging form where the central entry is set back from walls on both sides.
