Nancy Dougherty of Studio 1200 was our architect for remodeling our town home. She and the team at Studio 1200 were responsive and creative with ideas. She helped us choose our contractor and their coordination made the job run smoothly and within the budget. I would recommend them highly.

Studio 1200 designed a recreation space in our basement that is beautiful and functional. They conducted the bidding process well and they worked very well with our contractor. They also provided product sources for fixtures, flooring and etc. We were very pleased with the results.

Studio 1200 helped me with a complete renovation of a 'greenhouse'/'sun-room' attached to my kitchen. The original greenhouse was old, leaked, and had many issues. This updated room is very similar to the original (at my request), but is now a much more livable space. Studio 1200 handled the entire design, including a critical assessment of whether a major support beam running the entire length of the room needed replacement. They also were a significant help with the contractor and the selection of windows, lighting, etc. I couldn't be more please with all of their work. They consistently met deadlines, within budget, and were readily available for consultation when needed.

Our project was new construction beginning with an existing home to be demolished and ending with a furnished 3,200 sf beach house (4BR, 4.5BA). Lead architect, Nancy Dougherty (LEED Certified) and Project Manager, Chris Glibert, of Studio 1200 were involved from the outset, even before the existing home was demolished. While we had done major renovations in two other homes, we had never before built a home from the dirt up. After interviewing a number of firms, we found in Studio 1200 a team that offered a deliberate and inclusive process to identify our design preferences and to shape them into a home reflecting our updated style that would work within the parameters of our buildable space and in the community in which it was located. As newbies to this process, we knew we needed expert guidance and were very impressed to learn that even before our first meeting Nancy and her design partner, Sandee Markwith, had traveled to the island to survey our site and the local conditions and flavor. And when the design meetings began, we benefited from the thoughtful and patient approach which permitted ideas to develop and evolve over time. The meetings included a day trip to the shore to review the area, walk the property, analyze which orientation would maximize our views and privacy. Some months into the design process when we asked to see multiple additional options, everyone happily stepped back to gain new perspective and allow time for our opinions to emerge organically. Then, when we had completed the structural design, Sandee's interior team stepped in to make a comprehensive presentation of hard finishes through the entire home. We reviewed a host of materials ranging from siding, flooring, millwork, counter tops, tiling, paint, lighting, plumbing and suggestions for soft finishes, as well. It was a thrill to see the house taking shape room by room even before ground had been broken. We found this to be very helpful and a significant time-saver. When it came time to solicit bids, Studio 1200 vetted the bidders and suggested three top-notch builders whose numbers they dissected and presented to us with detailed analysis. We knew we were in good hands when each builder complemented us on the exceptionally detailed construction drawings from Studio 1200. There were very few items left to be determined which afforded us the comfort of very accurate bids. That we were able to tastefully include various elements of sustainable design added an extra sense of achievement. Our 23 solar panels are invisible from the street leaving our roof-lines elegant and clean. The vaulted gambrel overhang shielding the interior space from overpowering southern exposure has become the favorite dramatic feature of the entire project. This creative and beautifully built treatment allowed us to keep a wall of glass overlooking 200 acres of dunes without the negatives of the greenhouse effect. We found Nancy and Chris to be extremely professional and accessible. Outside of our regular progress meetings, we remained connected at all times…normal business hours, evenings, weekends, anytime. Nancy’s and Chris’ passion for our project was equal to ours. We felt we were true partners in this exciting endeavor. They researched every question we asked and offered multiple solutions for all of them. We always had confidence that any issue we encountered would be resolved to our liking. It will indeed be bittersweet when our project is completed, but we are heartened knowing the end of our build means they will be available to provide a similar experience to another client fortunate enough to retain them.

Nancy Dougherty and the Studio 1200 team turned my unsightly basement to the fabulous lower level of my home! I love it! Nancy is a true professional with numerous years of expertise. Nancy and Claudio heard what we had to say and came up with a design that was ideal for our renovation and were very helpful in selecting a builder. Claudio was available throughout the build process to provide advice on issues as they might arise and to interface with the builder in a constructive and effective manner. The project date and cost in this review reflects this renovation. After finishing our home renovation and addition. We retained Nancy and Claudio again to design a replacement two car garage. Again, they listened and provided a design and plans that met our expectations. The garage was built in 2015 for about $40,000. Finally, Studio 1200 has been conscientious on their billings and we found their charges to be reasonable and within the agreed budget.

It's always been a pleasure to work with Cami , she is very thorough and detailed in all the design work with each job we work on. I have been doing work for Cami for over 10 years & things have always ran like clock work . It's always a pleasure to work with her.
