The "blue hour" is that magical time of day when sunlight scatters and the sky becomes a deep shade of blue. For this Mediterranean-style Sea Cliff home from the 1920s, we took our design inspiration from the twilight period that inspired artists and photographers. The living room features moody blues and neutral shades on the main floor. We selected contemporary furnishings and modern art for this active family of five. Upstairs are the bedrooms and a home office, while downstairs, a media room, and wine cellar provide a place for adults and young children to relax and play.

Triplex Doors are important part of the interior. And it is crucial to be attentive while choosing one. Each of us is guided by our own tastes and preferences while selecting a door for the rooms of our apartment (or for our home). You can choose simple wooden door or door with a glass. And if you have decided to buy door with a glass, the best choice is triplex door. Triplex glass is a several layer glass, which is made with the help ofpressing while heating. There are different variations of triplex, for example, there are types of glass, which are soundproof or have electric heating, etc. Triplex is produced with a special technique: in between two glass a specific membrane is placed, after which they are being glued at a certain pressure and temperature. Triplex doors are famous for their strength and long lasting operational term. The protective function of these doors is that they absorb ultraviolet lights, but at the same time let in a normal daylight. They don't require an extraordinary care. All these characteristics make doors with triplex convenient for usage. Doors with triplex glass can be applied in various ways. With the help of diverse designs and saturated colors, they will be perfect for bathroom, kitchen, living room and bedroom. It is possible to choose not only transparent but also frosted glass. The feature of these doors is that they expand the space and also scatter the light. It is also very important to point out the fact, that due to the manufacturing method and used materials, doors with triplex are ecologically clean.

When Sharon had the bright idea to give her Akron home's attic a serious upgrade, she knew just who to call: Stately General Contracting. With a track record in home additions and renovations, we're no strangers to turning unused spaces into beloved spots. As a trusted name in home additions across Buffalo, NY, we're all about crafting spaces that feel just like home.
We made the most out of Sharon's attic by setting up a roomy closet, keeping all that important storage space intact. We then hung high-quality drywall for smooth-as-butter walls and ceilings. To make the space really shine, we added in recessed lighting fixtures and scattered handy outlets all around the attic.
Comfort was a top priority too. We put in a mini-split HVAC system to make sure Sharon and her family could hang out in their new room any time of the year. Ceiling fans got the thumbs up too, keeping the air moving and the temperature just right. We wrapped up the whole project with cozy carpet underfoot, adding that final touch of home.
The result? A whopping extra 1,200-square-feet of living space that's all set for making memories. We're thrilled with how this project turned out, and can't wait for Sharon and her family to start using their brand-new space. Whether it's attics, extensions, or other home additions, Stately General Contracting is ready to make your home dreams come true. If you're around Akron, Buffalo, or nearby areas and you're thinking of a home upgrade, let's chat about your plans. Our experienced crew is ready to turn your house into the home you've always wanted.

Working from the existing home’s deficits, we designed a bright and classic home well-suited to today’s living. Instead of a dark tunnel-like entry, we have a skylight custom curving stair that no one can believe is not original. Instead of a maze of rooms to reach the gorgeous park-like backyard, we have a clear central axis, allowing a sightline right through from the top of the stairs. Instead of three bedrooms scattered all over the house, we have zoned them to the second floor, each well-proportioned with a true master suite. Painted wood paneling, face-frame cabinets, box-beam beilings and Calacatta counters express the classic grandeur of the home.

This project entailed the draining of a 200,000 cubic foot pond which was originally constructed in the early 1900s in order to install a water feature. I had previously dammed the lower pond, which was roughly equivalent in size to the upper pond, with stonework to match the existing stone walkways. The lower pond will be utilized as a catch-basin in an effort to keep the upper pond’s water level at a sufficient height through a pump system.
After the removal of over a 100 years worth of sediment, I began constructing several terraces, stone steps, stone walkways, and several stone retaining walls — all stone features were built without the use of mortar so as to allow plant growth, such as vines and flowering plants to grow through the stonework.
The difficulty I faced, oddly enough, was trying to be as random as possible with the placement of the stones, so as to make the stonework appear as though it had been built alongside some of the pre-existing 100-year-old stone walls scattered across other areas of the property. In essence, I forced myself to leave larger gaps in between stones where I typically wouldn’t, as well as leave some stones protruding from the wall, and allowing the wall to slightly fluctuate in height. All of which required me to become a perfectionist of randomness, which was quite trying of me.
The top 2 feet of the 2,000-foot upper pond was then faced and retained with stone.

This traditional, clean, and trendy New York City kitchen, designed by Bilotta’s Tabitha Tepe, is situated in a loft in lower Manhattan. The kitchen, with touches of both silver and gold, features Bilotta Collection Cabinetry in a frameless full overlay door with step profile. The perimeter is painted in a soft gray color with glass fronts on the wall cabinets and the island is walnut with a stain. The high ceilings, tall windows, and open design make it a bright and airy space, not stuffy as some NYC apartments can be. The ceiling is painted white but still has the raw element of the exposed pipes. Touches of gold are scattered throughout the space including the hardware by Hafele and inside the pendant shades hanging above the island by Linden Rose & Co. The stainless steel hood and range, by Miele are surrounded by Artistic Tile’s Jazz Glass mosaic backsplash in gray and white. The Miele dishwasher and Sub-Zero refrigerator are paneled to keep the clean feel. Countertops are Imperial Danby marble by Romstone. And last but not least the entire wall running parallel to the island, is in white brick. Instead of covering it up the client decided to keep it in place and mount shelves where they added some earthy accessories like plants and olive wood cutting boards to complete this loft kitchen. Inspired by antique Persian "garden" and panel rugs, this design organizes a soft, sandy-beige field into a grid of compartments, each holding faded pictorial motifs — cypress trees, blossoms, birds, and small figural forms — rendered in a scattered, semi-erased palette of cornflower blue, mustard gold, sage green, and dusty maroon. The deliberately faded, weathered treatment gives it the look of a beloved antique rug that's lived a long life, with color emerging unevenly across the surface for a soft, painterly effect.
This distressed pictorial style is especially popular in transitional and modern-eclectic spaces that want traditional storytelling motifs without the visual weight of a fully saturated traditional rug.
