The Versailles Mirror has a 1 ½” beveled clear glass mirror and gold beaded filet has a very ornately carved exquisite gold frame and is able to hang horizontally or vertically. Additional Information: The process of painting on wood enables me to recreate the countenance of an ancient fresco. Using the wood’s grain as my canvas, I employ multiple hand layered painting techniques to build the background, and, once completed, I then sketch my design directly onto the surface. Then comes the painstaking application of paints to create colors and textures intrinsic to the piece. The addition of layer upon layer of glazes and varnishes consummates the artwork’s depth and translucency, similar to that of stained glass…and a good sprinkling of Swarovski crystals allow it light up any room. In the end, I look for total unity in design, accenting each work of art with the perfect frame and accenting each piece with pure gold or silver leaf. - Michelle Woolley Sauter, One Coast Design

No strangers to remodeling, the new owners of this St. Paul tudor knew they could update this decrepit 1920 duplex into a single-family forever home. A list of desired amenities was a catalyst for turning a bedroom into a large mudroom, an open kitchen space where their large family can gather, an additional exterior door for direct access to a patio, two home offices, an additional laundry room central to bedrooms, and a large master bathroom. As for the aesthetic, this was inspired by a deep appreciation for the durability, colors, textures and simplicity of Norwegian design. The home’s light paint colors set a positive tone. An abundance of tile creates character. New lighting reflecting the home’s original design is mixed with simplistic modern lighting. To pay homage to the original character several light fixtures were reused, wallpaper was repurposed at a ceiling, the chimney was exposed, and a new coffered ceiling was created. A simple front facade consisting solely of ten-foot shuttered French doors radiates elegance in this new traditional foursquare home in Washington, D.C. Featured in Country Living magazine, the airy plan offers spaciousness in a limited-fronted site of the American foursquare house. The goal for the design was creating a contemporary foursquare style house. The family room and kitchen of this American foursquare interior are separated by a glassy built-in rather than walls, encouraging visual connection between the spaces in the four square house. Though nestled in the city, this American foursquare home feels like a classic country home.

Our RHS Show Gardens can be seen here. At the 2008 Tatton Park Show we received a Bronze Medal for “Suspended Thoughts”. A year later we received a coverted RHS Gold Medal for our garden “A Place For Waste”. The garden used waste products and recycled materials to create a unique sustainable garden that received much interest from the television and media. We returned to the show in 2011 creating a minimalist garden built using sustainable materials sourced locally, adding a Silver Gilt Medal to our growing list of awards.

This is an older house in Rice University that needed an updated master bathroom. The original shower was only 36" x 36". Spa Bath Renovation Spring 2014, Design and build. We moved the tub, shower and toilet to different locations to make the bathroom look more organized. We used pure white Caeserstone countertops, Hansgrohe Metris faucet, glass mosaic tile (Daltile - City Lights), stand silver 12 x 24 porcelain floor cut into 4 x 24 strips to make the chevron pattern on the floor, shower glass panel, shower niche, rain shower head, wet bath floating tub. Custom cabinets in a grey stain with mirror doors and circle overlays. The tower in center features charging station for toothbrushes, iPADs, and cell phones. Spacious Spa Bath. TV in bathroom, large chandelier in bathroom. Half circle cabinet doors with mirrors. Anther chandelier in a master bathroom. Eichler in Marinwood - In conjunction to the porous programmatic kitchen block as a connective element, the walls along the main corridor add to the sense of bringing outside in. The fin wall adjacent to the entry has been detailed to have the siding slip past the glass, while the living, kitchen and dining room are all connected by a walnut veneer feature wall running the length of the house. This wall also echoes the lush surroundings of lucas valley as well as the original mahogany plywood panels used within eichlers. photo: scott hargis
