The key to this project was to create a kitchen fitting of a residence with strong Industrial aesthetics. The PB Kitchen Design team managed to preserve the warmth and organic feel of the home’s architecture. The sturdy materials used to enrich the integrity of the design, never take away from the fact that this space is meant for hospitality. Functionally, the kitchen works equally well for quick family meals or large gatherings. But take a closer look at the use of texture and height. The vaulted ceiling and exposed trusses bring an additional element of awe to this already stunning kitchen.

Large transitional u-shaped dark wood floor and brown floor kitchen photo in Minneapolis with gray cabinets, white backsplash, stainless steel appliances, an island, raised-panel cabinets, a farmhouse sink, solid surface countertops, white countertops and ceramic backsplash

This family backyard outdoor living area was designed to showcase the natural greenery of the Pacific Northwest around planned areas for relaxation, outdoor dining and entertainment.
The central feature is a patio plaza designed with curving natural shapes and made with Mutual Materials Columbia Slate Patio Stone in the color Summit Blend. Applying a paver sealant coating on top of the Columbia Slate intensifies the colors while providing protection from weather elements and fading.
A prominent backyard feature is a large tree, which the patio was built around. Using Mutual Materials Roman Stack® retaining wall blocks, a raised circular garden planter was built around the tree and enhanced with plantings to create a natural foundational feature. The Summit Blend color was also chosen for the RomanStackstone, to color coordinate with the Summit Blend color in the patio stone.

Next we'd like you to meet Rita, the creative DIYer behind the blog Suburbs Mama. Rita had a craft room. Notice the key word in that sentence is had! See Rita's family lives in a different state and they like to visit during the holidays. Sound familiar? So she decided to transform her craft room into a cozy guest bedroom. Rita had to work with a lot of her existing furniture pieces and decor accessories. To add some WOW factor to the room, she stenciled two walls using Moroccan Dream stencil. She selected a fresh and inviting shade of green, like Benjamin Moore's seedling AF-450.Then she accented the space with coral pillows that she crafted herself and a soft green throw. We think Rita did a great job putting together this guest bedroom!

Horses stand at the Cor-Ten steel hitching post. Materials such as poured-in-place concrete walls and stone quarried on the property create a striking maintenance-free exterior.

Our client has traveled the world, collecting what speaks to her. We had boxes of artwork we wanted to hang, we used thrift store frames and a few new pieces to create this installation. We custom built the sofa and table which doubles as two twin daybeds, using apple plywood and thick dowels. The cushions are from Anthropologie. The chair was found locally, tables from Article. The rug was sourced from Morocco. The room was under lit, so we added a George Nelson pendant for maximum wattage. We paired it with a twin in the kitchen for added light and balance.
