The Holloway blends the recent revival of mid-century aesthetics with the timelessness of a country farmhouse. Each façade features playfully arranged windows tucked under steeply pitched gables. Natural wood lapped siding emphasizes this homes more modern elements, while classic white board & batten covers the core of this house. A rustic stone water table wraps around the base and contours down into the rear view-out terrace.
Inside, a wide hallway connects the foyer to the den and living spaces through smooth case-less openings. Featuring a grey stone fireplace, tall windows, and vaulted wood ceiling, the living room bridges between the kitchen and den. The kitchen picks up some mid-century through the use of flat-faced upper and lower cabinets with chrome pulls. Richly toned wood chairs and table cap off the dining room, which is surrounded by windows on three sides. The grand staircase, to the left, is viewable from the outside through a set of giant casement windows on the upper landing. A spacious master suite is situated off of this upper landing. Featuring separate closets, a tiled bath with tub and shower, this suite has a perfect view out to the rear yard through the bedroom's rear windows. All the way upstairs, and to the right of the staircase, is four separate bedrooms. Downstairs, under the master suite, is a gymnasium. This gymnasium is connected to the outdoors through an overhead door and is perfect for athletic activities or storing a boat during cold months. The lower level also features a living room with a view out windows and a private guest suite.

This basement guest bath features 9cm Pental quartz counters with Decolav vessel sink and Moen 90 Degree Open-Trough fixtures. The walnut linen cabinet provides a break by the toilet to visually separate this space (a great trick when there's not enough room for a separate toilet area).

Living room - large transitional formal and open concept dark wood floor and brown floor living room idea in Denver with white walls, a standard fireplace, a stone fireplace and no tv

The old kitchen was outdated, cramped and had inefficient storage. It didn’t flow well with the rest of
the home nor serve the needs of the family of four, who like to entertain and host the neighborhood
kids on a regular basis.
The client desired a large open concept kitchen with multiple zones for cooking, prep and cleanup that
complimented the style of her home. She desired large pantry areas with easy access, a table area that
could seat 6, as well as separate snack zone for the kids.
The new kitchen design is an open concept space that combines the existing kitchen with a rarely used
dining area and large walk-in closet. Distinct and separate cook, cleanup and prep zones, appeal to the
cook while a separate snack area behind one of the barn doors is geared towards the children.
Convenience items such as dual refrigerator drawers at one end of the island and a wine fridge at the
other appeal to adults and kids alike.
White perimeter cabinetry with a subtle moldings and grey glaze adds softness and sophistication, while
stunning black painted islands ground the center of the space.
Texture is added in the warm wood floors, gorgeous Super White Quartz countertop and variegated
marble backsplash. The icing on the cake is brought in with a little glitz and shine thru the pendant
lighting and chrome accents.
The rays of the existing half circle window were the inspiration for the X detail which is repeated
throughout the space in the glass door mullions, pantry barn doors, and tile feature area over the
cooktop.

Symmetry and traditional sensibilities drive this homes stately style. Flanking garages compliment a grand entrance and frame a roundabout style motor court. On axis, and centered on the homes roofline is a traditional A-frame dormer. The walkout rear elevation is covered by a paired column gallery that is connected to the main levels living, dining, and master bedroom. Inside, the foyer is centrally located, and flanked to the right by a grand staircase. To the left of the foyer is the homes private master suite featuring a roomy study, expansive dressing room, and bedroom. The dining room is surrounded on three sides by large windows and a pair of French doors open onto a separate outdoor grill space. The kitchen island, with seating for seven, is strategically placed on axis to the living room fireplace and the dining room table. Taking a trip down the grand staircase reveals the lower level living room, which serves as an entertainment space between the private bedrooms to the left and separate guest bedroom suite to the right. Rounding out this plans key features is the attached garage, which has its own separate staircase connecting it to the lower level as well as the bonus room above.

Building a small 6′ x 20′ two-story addition on this 1960 Bloomfield Hills home created room for a gorgeous new master bathroom.
On the second floor, the addition made it possible to expand and re-design the master bath and bedroom. The new bedroom now has an entry foyer and large living space, complete with crown molding and a very large private bath. The new luxurious master bathroom invites room for two at the elongated custom inset furniture vanity by Omega complete with marble countertops. Unique framed mirrors and individual sconces light up each space for separate grooming. The freestanding tub is surrounded by built-in’s with a beautiful Crystorama chandelier above that creates soft ambient lighting for bathing. A separate room with frosted French glass pocket doors hide the toilet and oversized steam shower made for two. Right outside the new shower, warm towels hang on a large wall mounted towel warmer.
By simply adjusting the existing space and adding a small addition, MainStreet Design Build gave these homeowners the bathroom (and bedroom) they had been dreaming about.

Bigger is not always better, but something of highest quality is. This amazing, size-appropriate Lake Michigan cottage is just that. Nestled in an existing historic stretch of Lake Michigan cottages, this new construction was built to fit in the neighborhood, but outperform any other home in the area concerning energy consumption, LEED certification and functionality. It features 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, an open concept kitchen/living room, a separate mudroom entrance and a separate laundry. This small (but smart) cottage is perfect for any family simply seeking a retreat without the stress of a big lake home. The interior details include quartz and granite countertops, stainless appliances, quarter-sawn white oak floors, Pella windows, and beautiful finishing fixtures. The dining area was custom designed, custom built, and features both new and reclaimed elements. The exterior displays Smart-Side siding and trim details and has a large EZE-Breeze screen porch for additional dining and lounging. This home owns all the best products and features of a beach house, with no wasted space. Cottage Home is the premiere builder on the shore of Lake Michigan, between the Indiana border and Holland.
