A large Phillip Jeffries sectional doubles as a queen-size sleeper for guests and is accented with blue throw pillows. A Made Goods table lamp sits elegantly upon a Century Lichfield Bromley table in black, providing a surface area for games, drinks, and reading material.

The patterns, colors and furniture plan all played important roles in this individualistic dining room. Moving the dining table to the back wall rather then the center of the room allowed the opportunity to add a long beautiful banquette with flanking bookcases. I turned the paper to be hung horizontal to get a more modern stripe and that coordinates well with the sheers. The unique dining chairs feature a Malachite patterned fabric with emerald mohair seats while the banquette has many different patterned pillows adding a nice warmth to the room. The two Shagreen bookcases give more space which dining rooms tend to lack to add personalized accessories and frames.

This second master/guest bedroom provides an African theme room complete with grasscloth walls and a faux animal hide area rug. Shagreen inset expresso bedside chests, and a platform leather inset headboard provide a hi contrast setting in which to sleep, or read and relax.

On the second floor, the master bedroom is sophisticated yet glamorous with a bit of an edge. The vintage metal chandelier is Austrian, circa 1920s. The walls are blanketed in a silver-glazed grasscloth wallpaper for a modern yet warmly textured effect. Luminous silver window panels frame the faux-shagreen (sharkskin) bed, which is swaddled in eco-friendly, organic cotton linens. To each side, custom campaign chests were designed and hand-finished with silver leaf, and topped with hand-forged steel lamps. At the foot of the bed, a pair of benches upholstered in velvet perch atop the soft grey cowhide throws. A large pair of paintings opposite (also by Michael Lotenero) adds another layer of impact and drama.

This dining room is a play in textures. Textured wallcovering, a live edge dining table, and a faux shagreen credenza all harmonize with black and white accents.

For the Upstairs Guest Bath, we started with this fun shower curtain the homeowner found and pulled out our wall color (Sherwin Williams’ Shagreen SW6422). The colors in the butterfly artwork are perfect, and the light background helps it pop off the wall.
The homeowner already had the white shelf above the toilet so we added these colorful vases and greenery.
For the vanity area, we added this set of white succulent wall decor. The crisp white looks great against the green wall color.
These decorative touches are what made the two bathrooms feel updated and fresh. And remember…wallpaper is the always a good choice!

An ongoing trend in home design is evoking a luxurious hotel feel in the bedroom, and that’s exactly what these homeowners wanted for their master bedroom.
Because a bedroom is all about comfort, we curated an array of soft fabrics and a sophisticated palette of colours. The one-of-a-kind velvet bed is an elegant focal point for this space, and sits against chic graphic wallpaper. The colour blocked drapery also blocks out the world with black out lining, and a glamorous glass link light meld together to create a lush environment. We combined classic shapes, shimmer, texture, pattern and colour to develop a restful retreat.
The lucky people that get to rest their heads here can now sleep like they are on vacation every night.
