Via our website ~ "The Gibraltar Cabin is a clever little cabin design that includes a porch, an interior space and a very attractive eye-catching barrel arch at the entrance. The single door is complimented by an additional five foot wide double door on the gable end. The elegant country charm is achieved with the large barn sash windows and rustic board and batten siding and is protected by a green corrugated metal roof.
The post and beam frame makes this cabin a strong backyard out-building. A sturdy interior work bench has also been included. This rugged and attractive design is beautiful from the front view. This versatile cabin design can be configured for many uses. It will make a perfect cabin, tiny house, getaway retreat, art studio, home office, garden or potting shed, kids playhouse, a pool house. Fitted with large double doors, the Gibraltar Cabin is very capable of handling all your storage needs and will compliment your outdoor living space.
Any of our buildings can be customized to fit all of your needs. We offer insulation, plumbing and electrical packages; alternative choices for roofing, siding, flooring, windows, and doors; and other custom options such as built-in storage, decorative arches, cupolas, painting, staining, and flower boxes."

64 sq./ft. of usable space, the 8x Gable cottages have plenty of room for both his and her needs. When sheltering a heavy tractor take into consideration the floor system, and the door height clearance. It sometimes works best to eliminate the floor or beef up the floor framing by requesting 16” on center joists and 3/4” plywood flooring. The door clearance should allow the height of the roll bar to clear.

Interior of the Teracottage "Fancy That" Potting Shed. This unit comes with a fully finished interior of reclaimed barn wood. Since the structure has an English theme, I set the pattern of the wall boards in the same way as a skilled stone mason would build a proper English stacked stone wall. Each reclaimed board needed to be cut and planed specifically for it's location on this wall. Teracottage Photo by DJS Photography

Redwood Builders had the pleasure of working with leading SF based architects Seth and Melissa Hanley of Design Blitz to create a sleek and modern backyard "Shudio" structure. Located in their backyard in Sebastopol, the Shudio replaced a falling-down potting shed and brings the best of his-and-hers space planning: a painting studio for her and a beer brewing shed for him. During their frequent backyard parties (which often host more than 90 guests) the Shudio transforms into a bar with easy through traffic and a built in keg-orator. The finishes are simple with the primary surface being charcoal painted T111 with accents of western red cedar and a white washed ash plywood interior. The sliding barn doors and trim are constructed of California redwood. The trellis with its varied pattern creates a shadow pattern that changes throughout the day. The trellis helps to enclose the informal patio (decomposed granite) and provide privacy from neighboring properties. Existing mature rhododendrons were prioritized in the design and protected in place where possible.
