After many years of careful consideration and planning, these clients came to us with the goal of restoring this home’s original Victorian charm while also increasing its livability and efficiency. From preserving the original built-in cabinetry and fir flooring, to adding a new dormer for the contemporary master bathroom, careful measures were taken to strike this balance between historic preservation and modern upgrading. Behind the home’s new exterior claddings, meticulously designed to preserve its Victorian aesthetic, the shell was air sealed and fitted with a vented rainscreen to increase energy efficiency and durability. With careful attention paid to the relationship between natural light and finished surfaces, the once dark kitchen was re-imagined into a cheerful space that welcomes morning conversation shared over pots of coffee.
Every inch of this historical home was thoughtfully considered, prompting countless shared discussions between the home owners and ourselves. The stunning result is a testament to their clear vision and the collaborative nature of this project.

This 2,975-square-foot timber frame home sits on Brereton Lake in Manitoba's Whiteshell region, designed by Pine Creek Homes. A 30-foot white pine king post truss anchors the open living area, with custom steel plates at the joints adding strength and a clean, contemporary detail to traditional joinery. Beneath the truss, a galley kitchen and island open onto uninterrupted lake views, while bedrooms, the sunroom, and utility spaces use conventional framing for efficiency. 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, built to hold up through Manitoba winters.

This 6-bedroom, 5.5-bath new construction is a study in modern design - clean lines, an open flow and premium finishes carried through every square foot. A grand entry foyer greets you with 11-foot first-floor ceilings and oversized European windows, flooding the space with natural light and creating a bright, airy first impression that sets the tone for the entire home.
At the heart of the home, the chef's kitchen blends function with high end design: Thermador appliances, honed Taj Mahal quartz counters, sleek custom cabinetry, a built-in wine refrigerator, dedicated coffee and beverage station, and an oversized walk-in pantry. The open-concept layout flows effortlessly into the family room, where Venetian plaster walls, custom oak shelving, and whole-home built-in speakers create a refined, contemporary living space made for both quiet nights in and entertaining guests.
Upstairs, the primary suite is designed as a true private retreat spacious enough for a sitting room or home office, with three walk-in closets, a dedicated vanity area, and a spa-inspired bath featuring modern fixtures and clean tile work. Four additional generously sized bedrooms and a well-appointed laundry room round out the second floor.

Outside, the backyard is built for indoor-outdoor living with a custom-built outdoor kitchen and space reserved for a future pool, all framed by clean modern landscaping. An oversized 3-car garage completes the home's thoughtful, functional design.
From the architecture to the finishes, every element of this home reflects a modern build executed at the highest level sleek, sophisticated, and move in ready.

For this couple with grown children and grandchildren, home life is centered upon being together, professional commitments, and enriching their personal lives. The couple lives on the main floor of a converted carriage house that they adapted into a one-bedroom retreat. Living spaces such as their living room, kitchen, sitting and dining areas open onto views of lawn and ocean.
Upstairs provides guest quarters for their growing family. Shingle style vernacular blends with elements of the original carriage house including dormers, banks of paned windows, the hip roof and copper-capped cupola. Architects re-used bead board paneling and equestrian stall dividers inside.
