Designed by Paula Greer and Danielle Florie, this transitional kitchen with pantry features cabinetry in both Wood-Mode Custom Cabinetry and its sister company, Brookhaven Cabinetry, a more affordable, semi-custom line. The L- shaped oven and range wall features Brookhaven’s Sausalito door also in cherry with a stain – a similar door to the Bridgeport but with wider stiles and rails. The custom wood hood is by Wood-Mode. The Island adds a pop of color with Woodmode’s Chatham Recessed door in a custom blue paint. The island countertop is concrete by Brooks Custom. The perimeter tops are honed Jet Mist granite by Terra Tile. The stainless steel apron sink and faucet are by Franke. The refrigerator is Bosch and all other appliances are Thermador. The custom etched glass pantry door is by GlasSolutions and the cabinetry inside is Brookhaven in a Java stain. Designers: Paula Greer & Danielle Florie. Photo Credit: Peter Krupenye.

Good design must reflect the personality of the client. So when siblings purchased studios in Downtown by Philippe Starck, one of the first buildings to herald the revitalization of Manhattan’s Financial District, the aim was to create environments that were truly bespoke. The brother’s tastes jibed synchronously with the insouciant idea of France’s most popular prankster converting a building that once housed the buttoned-up offices of JP Morgan Chase. His collection of Takashi Murakami works, the gallery-like centerpiece of the main area, announces his boldness and flair up front, as do furnishings by Droog, Moooi and, of course Starck, as well as hide rugs and upholstery, and a predominantly red palette. His sister was after something soothing and discreet. So Axis Mundi responded with a neutrals and used glass to carve out a bedroom surrounded by drapes that transform it into a golden cocoon. Hide (albeit less flamboyantly applied) evokes a familial commonality, and built-in furniture and cabinetry optimize space restrictions inherent in studio apartments.

This is a home in Hollywood Hills that Marilynn consulted on for Luxe Standard. It was an outdated 1960's ranch with fantastic views. Thermador and Gagneau appliances

Supernova is the sister piece to our fan-favorite Nova parson’s style dining table, but with some new eye-catching design elements. Featuring our signature tambour wood paneling on the edge of the table skirt, with an optional statement brass inlay tucked underneath the tabletop.
Supernova was originally commissioned in solid white oak, but is also available in walnut, ash, or blackened ash. Several coats of commercial grade varnish are sprayed on Supernova’s natural wood surface & add a layer of extra protection.
Supernova is an astronomical term for a star that suddenly greatly increases in brightness because of a catastrophic explosion that ejects most of its mass. (Because that’s just what she is- explosive).
Material: Solid White Oak
Dimensions: 118”L x 38”w x 30”H
Tabletop thickness: 1.7”
Finish: Water based finish
Legs: Wood, 4" (thickness), Parsons style

Bradley Beach's well-known purple sister homes were in dire need of updating. Modern materials and our vast experience with Victorian-era homes helped us keep these homes a Bradley Beach landmark. Intense detailing would be required everywhere, but especially on the large bay structure where we would encounter: Window frames, color-coordinated transition board and accented freeze board, custom-made Bay Corner Trim, polyurethane Gable ornament - We even painted the electric service wire to match all three siding and trim colors. Another Custom Creation from Monmouth Vinyl.

Aquatica’s Emmanuelle 2 bathtub is a new addition to one of the company’s classic lines, combining the old-world charm of the Victorian freestanding style of the bathtub with modern, clean lines, at home as the centerpiece of any style of bathroom.
Like its forebears, the Emmanuelle features an extended back and neck rest at one end that tapers gently down towards the base, for ultimate support, comfort and added privacy. This tub is slightly shorter in length as its sister bath, Emmanuelle, but a little wider and deeper – even more enticing.

KitchenLab Interiors’ first, entirely new construction project in collaboration with GTH architects who designed the residence. KLI was responsible for all interior finishes, fixtures, furnishings, and design including the stairs, casework, interior doors, moldings and millwork. KLI also worked with the client on selecting the roof, exterior stucco and paint colors, stone, windows, and doors. The homeowners had purchased the existing home on a lakefront lot of the Valley Lo community in Glenview, thinking that it would be a gut renovation, but when they discovered a host of issues including mold, they decided to tear it down and start from scratch. The minute you look out the living room windows, you feel as though you're on a lakeside vacation in Wisconsin or Michigan. We wanted to help the homeowners achieve this feeling throughout the house - merging the causal vibe of a vacation home with the elegance desired for a primary residence. This project is unique and personal in many ways - Rebekah and the homeowner, Lorie, had grown up together in a small suburb of Columbus, Ohio. Lorie had been Rebekah's babysitter and was like an older sister growing up. They were both heavily influenced by the style of the late 70's and early 80's boho/hippy meets disco and 80's glam, and both credit their moms for an early interest in anything related to art, design, and style. One of the biggest challenges of doing a new construction project is that it takes so much longer to plan and execute and by the time tile and lighting is installed, you might be bored by the selections of feel like you've seen them everywhere already. “I really tried to pull myself, our team and the client away from the echo-chamber of Pinterest and Instagram. We fell in love with counter stools 3 years ago that I couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger on, thank god, because then they started showing up literally everywhere", Rebekah recalls. Lots of one of a kind vintage rugs and furnishings make the home feel less brand-spanking new. The best projects come from a team slightly outside their comfort zone. One of the funniest things Lorie says to Rebekah, "I gave you everything you wanted", which is pretty hilarious coming from a client to a designer.
