Another item on the client’s wish list was a built-in doggie station for their two large dogs. This custom unit was designed with convenience in mind: a handy pot-filler was hard piped in for easy water bowl refills. The same glass backsplash tile and granite counter top were used to match the rest of the kitchen, and LED lights brighten the space the same way the undercabinet lights do. Rubber-bottomed dog bowls prevent any accidental spills, which are easy to clean up should they occur. Now the dogs have their own place to eat and drink, and the clients won’t be tripping over dog bowls in the floor! Final photos by www.Impressia.net

This client wanted to experience Santa Fe in Sierra Madre. Challenges were the steep hillside lot, great views, fire concerns and narrow car access. We created a rustic home with a low profile, lush surroundings and an air of quiet tranquility. This rustic southwestern house uses reclaimed vegas and logs for the structural system and asphalt emulsion mud adobe walls for the finish. The house is like an adobe village separated into four structures connected by verandas, courtyards and log bridges.

Our client requested Land & Water Design to design a unique backyard, utilizing every bit of open area. Within the requests were a 12'x22' swimming pool with swim jet system to accommodate the competitive swimmers in their family. The items on their "wish list" were enough hardscape areas to accommodate at least 20 guests, a beautiful low maintenance landscape, custom storage area, outdoor lighting, water jets, retaining wall, seat walls and finally a small area for outdoor grilling. Horizontally-installed appliances (rather than the traditional column-stacked) gives a contemporary feel to an otherwise traditional wood kitchen. The pop-up downdraft vent is a great alternative to the more common hoodfans that drop down from the ceiling - especially if you have a great view you don't want to spoil.

This beautiful secondary bathroom is a welcoming space that will spoil and comfort any guest. The 8x8 decorative Nola Orleans tile is the focal point of the room and creates movement in the design. The 3x12 cotton white subway tile and deep white Kohler tub provide a clean backdrop to allow the flooring to take center stage, while making the room appear spacious. A shaker style vanity in Harbor finish and shadow storm vanity top elevate the space and Kohler chrome fixtures throughout add a perfect touch of sparkle. We love the mirror that was chosen by our client which compliments the floor pattern and ties the design perfectly together in an elegant way.
