This Concrete Vinyl lined walls swimming pool was built by Gappsi in Port Washington NY 11050. The pool size is 15×30 staggered halfway with stadium stairs in the shallow area and one swim out benches on one side of deep end. Pool depth is 6 feet, which makes this swimming pool is a non-diving pool. A raised platform in back of the pool allows for the installation of sheer descends water feature spilling in to the swimming pool, visible from every part of the back yard and also creating a launge area ornated by oversized flower pots and palm trees. Trex Material was used to build the deck and stairs to get to the second floor. Woodland brown decking contrasted with white fascia and spindles for the railing. Four fiberglass columns support the structure and also create grand entrance appearance to the pool steps. The plumbing was done using 2 inches 40 schedule hard pvc pipes, this allows water to flow and filtered fester. The pool coping used is the Griggio Dorato Silver travertine 2 inches thick random pattern. The patio pavers are also Griggio Dorato Silver travertine French pattern all from the Gappsi natural stone products selection. This was a detached building from the main house just for the theater. The interior of the room was designed to look like an old lodge with reclaimed barn wood on the interior walls and old rustic beams in the ceiling. In the process of remodeling the room we had to find old barn wood that matched the existing barn wood and weave in the old with the new so you could not see the difference when complete. We also had to hide speakers in the walls by Faux painting the fabric speaker grills to match the grain of the barn wood on all sides of it so the speakers were completely hidden. We also had a very short timeline to complete the project so the client could screen a movie premiere in the theater. To complete the project in a very short time frame we worked 10-15 hour days with multiple crew shifts to get the project done on time. The ceiling of the theater was over 30’ high and all of the new fabric, barn wood, speakers, and lighting required high scaffolding work.

A conceptual framework of long, straight lines anchors the landscape design for this proposed contemporary house set in a rural wetland environment. Against this datum, the site’s subtleties reveal themselves for interpretation and appreciation. The iconic element of a strong axial grass ‘runway’ serves both as a horizontal extrusion against which to read the natural topography and also as a platform for viewing the site’s wetlands. A monolithic retaining wall stratifies the entry area into a lower, private parking court and an upper, public one, which is further defined by a series of rough-hewn stone planters containing formal plantings of dogwoods. These planters break the plane of the retaining wall and extend to the ground, alluding to the substantial bedrock deposits that underlie much of the site. Stepped down from this plane is the fire pit terrace, nestled into the rocky structure of the site and offering views towards a vernal pond. Scott Carman

This lower level combines several areas into the perfect space to have a party or just hang out. The theater area features a starlight ceiling that even include a comet that passes through every minute. Premium sound and custom seating make it an amazing experience. The sitting area has a brick wall and fireplace that is flanked by built in bookshelves. To the right, is a set of glass doors that open all of the way across. This expands the living area to the outside. Also, with the press of a button, blackout shades on all of the windows... turn day into night. Seating around the bar makes playing a game of pool a real spectator sport... or just a place for some fun. The area also has a large workout room. Perfect for the times that pool isn't enough physical activity for you.

The pool size is 18x38 and Pool depth is 6 ft which makes this Gunite swimming pool a non-diving pool. With stadium stairs in the shallow area of the pool and swim out benches on each side of the deep end. This pool also has an automated safety cover which allows the pool area to be open to the rest of the yard. Fencing around the pool is not required thus making the pool patio more accessible and functional. The plumbing for this Gunite pool was done using 2 inches wide 40 schedule PVC pipes; this allows water to flow and filter at a faster rate. The pool plaster finish consists of black envil quartsscape, unlike Marbledust, is a much harder material which makes the finish of this pool last 2 or 3 times longer with the proper maintenance. A 6 inch porcelain tile bend was installed to the top perimeter of the pool wall. The tile line is used to counter water marks that occur on the walls; the tiles are also weather chemicals resistant. The pool water is leveled to the center of the tiles so halt of the tiles will always be exposed to the elements. The coping and patio was paved using flamed 2 inch bluestone tread and patio using random sized flagging with 1/2 inch cement joint in between. The pool equipment was a combination of Jandy and Hayward pump, filter and heater, to keep the water sanitized. A salt clarion generator and an ozone system were installed and the combination of these two will keep water free of alleges and impurities which makes this pool a maintenance and chemical free Gunite swimming pool.
