In this project for a repeat client, we were tasked with bringing curb appeal and opening up the public spaces of the house. We removed a swath of the roof and ceilings and added a vaulted gable. This gave the public rooms visual interest and lots of light, while allowing us to extend a covered entry and back terrace as well.
We reconfigured the house’s plan and, with great help from the clients, designed new finishes throughout.
The wood ceilings are made from resurfaced Sugar Pine bleacher seats from UC Santa Barbara’s Thunderdome Stadium.
We also renovated the primary bed/bathroom suite and reimagined the shared bathroom and other bedrooms as well.

Doing the roof deck for this home was a fun project. Weather durable elements of minimum maintenance were key such Bamboo furniture. The theme palette was about sunshine, enjoying the outdoors and beach. We added antique roth iron columns to hold the new owning for extra shade over the table. Old recycled stadium seats allowed for extra seating that could be folded away. We created a one of a kind coffee table with concrete elements and a thick acrylic sheet on top. The deck was stainned on a sage green and bright aqua blue garden stools serve as side tables or extra seating. An antique trolley for drinks and vintage Coca-Cola/Pepsi crates are great for holding beverages. One can enjoy the views under the sunny skylight and the smells of BBQ while still in the city,

We were asked to create a hang out zone that perfectly showcased this DJs off the charts collection — this Moorestown, New Jersey Industrial Basement was the answer!
This 1800sf area was completely unfinished and WOW what a renovation and interior design transformation! We designed and delivered the best mancave zone ever with a kitchenette, island, stadium seating, a full bath, fireplace, DJ studio, and gaming zone. BUT the best part is that these rustic wood walls create a masculine backdrop to over 170 extremely cool collection pieces.
Key features in the kitchenette: corregated zinc backsplash, rustic shelves for storage supported by galvenized pipe, a garage door lift for storage above the fridge, and a cooler than cool beverage fridge at the end of the island that looks like a speaker!

The frontyard features a natural stone walkway that leads to the solid natural stone front steps. The first stair landing connects with a custom Thermory and steel bench. A small lawn area and mixed plantings fill the rest of the space.
The backyard features a walkout basement that is covered with stadium stairs made up of solid natural stone. The stairs make ample space for herb filled pots. The final elevated step makes a bench for a small dining area. The upper terrace includes a decorative Cedar screen and raised planters for larger specimen trees. Beech hedging surrounds the yard with a specimen London Plane Tree and forest like under plantings.

This lower level combines several areas into the perfect space to have a party or just hang out. The theater area features a starlight ceiling that even include a comet that passes through every minute. Premium sound and custom seating make it an amazing experience.
The sitting area has a brick wall and fireplace that is flanked by built in bookshelves. To the right, is a set of glass doors that open all of the way across. This expands the living area to the outside. Also, with the press of a button, blackout shades on all of the windows... turn day into night.
Seating around the bar makes playing a game of pool a real spectator sport... or just a place for some fun. The area also has a large workout room. Perfect for the times that pool isn't enough physical activity for you.

It was a total transformation of the backyard layout, from the swimming pool to patios and landscaping. The swimming 8 feet fiberglass stairs were removed and a 20 ft. long shallow area stadium stair was added, new plumbing , liner and sheer descend water feature was also added. The classico travertine patio pavers were selected from the Gappsi natural stone collection and installed for the entire backyard. The walls were veneered with Fiorito travertine mixedsizes and 2 inches thick Fiorito travertine coping for steps and wall caps. A full outdoor kitchen and bar was built and covered with a pavilion structure. Mahogany deck and stairs further enhance the back layout by creating a defined sitting area for the outdoor furniture. Many are the amenities that were incorporated in the backyard design; Gappsi Talented designers and craftsmen transformed a tight small backyard into a functional and breathtaking outdoor living space.
