I wonderfully updated starter home for a young family with two small children moving to the east bay (Berkeley, Ca) from San Francisco. The client wanted simple clean lines with lots of countertop space and under counter storage only.

Our St. Pete studio gave this gorgeous home a coastal-themed makeover to invoke relaxation vibes. We used a soothing neutral palette throughout the house and peppered it with generous ocean blue decor which adds a beautiful pop of cheer. Thoughtful artwork in the living, dining, and staircase areas add interesting focal points and become great conversation starters during get-togethers with friends and family. Soft furnishings in delightful colors create a warm, inviting, and cozy ambience in this entire home.

This stunning deck and patio project features Belair walls and pillars, Lafit pavers, and TimberTech low maintenance materials. These clients requested we prevent their hot tub from being the center of the design. We were able to custom design their space to give them exactly that. The patio becomes the focal point, with it's gas-starter fire pit, pillars, and inset soldiers course.

Collaborations with builders on new construction is a favorite part of my job. I love seeing a house go up from the blueprints to the end of the build. It is always a journey filled with a thousand decisions, some creative on-the-spot thinking and yes, usually a few stressful moments. This Naperville project was a collaboration with a local builder and architect. The Kitchen Studio collaborated by completing the cabinetry design and final layout for the entire home.
Access to the back of the house is through the mudroom which is outfitted with just about every possible storage feature you can think of for a mudroom. For starters, the basics – a locker for each family member. In addition to that, there is an entire cabinet with roll outs devoted just to shoes, one for cleaning supplies and one for extra coats. The room also features a small clean up sink as well as a set of refrigerator drawers making grabbing a Gatorade on the way to soccer practice a piece of cake.
If you are building a new home, The Kitchen Studio can offer expert help to make the most of your new construction home. We provide the expertise needed to ensure that you are getting the most of your investment when it comes to cabinetry, design and storage solutions. Give us a call if you would like to find out more!

Realtor client looking to take an old mistreated home renovate and flip. The house was in total disrepair and needed a lot of tlc! We opened up some walls to create a roomy feel and stripped it down to the studs to create a homey living situation for a great starter home!

This flower inspired bedroom set features elegant curves, contemporary lines and bursts of pink and purple. Whimsical round knobs give it a playful look. Crib transforms to a starter bed. Shelving unit at the base provide ample storage.

This lovely family turned their small starter home into their perfect forever home. Space was added, ceilings were raised and we filled it with color to create this refreshingly cheerful home.

Our St. Pete studio designed this stunning pied-à-terre for a couple looking for a luxurious retreat in the city. Our studio went all out with colors, textures, and materials that evoke five-star luxury and comfort in keeping with their request for a resort-like home with modern amenities. In the vestibule that the elevator opens to, we used a stylish black and beige palm leaf patterned wallpaper that evokes the joys of Gulf Coast living. In the adjoining foyer, we used stylish wainscoting to create depth and personality to the space, continuing the millwork into the dining area.
We added bold emerald green velvet chairs in the dining room, giving them a charming appeal. A stunning chandelier creates a sharp focal point, and an artistic fawn sculpture makes for a great conversation starter around the dining table. We ensured that the elegant green tone continued into the stunning kitchen and cozy breakfast nook through the beautiful kitchen island and furnishings. In the powder room, too, we went with a stylish black and white wallpaper and green vanity, which adds elegance and luxe to the space. In the bedrooms, we used a calm, neutral tone with soft furnishings and light colors that induce relaxation and rest.

For music lovers out there. You almost hear the music while seeing the musical troupe fully immersed in their song. While the figures are quite simplistic, the artistic style employed shows the movement of the vocalist and percussionist, bringing you right into the scene. The bright orange color gives a sense of excitement and happiness, while small details bring your focus seamlessly from the guitarist’s bow tie to the studded archways seen behind the band. The vibrant colors will brighten up any room, while the simplistic nature of the piece allows it to work well with any existing interior design elements. This piece is a real conversation starter, especially among those who are musical in nature, but is easily appreciated by anyone who sees it.
