This lodge features a wraparound covered porch providing distinct views to the landscape. Design ideas for a contemporary partial sun backyard stone landscaping in Burlington for summer.

The front yard features a welcoming path created by large, irregularly shaped stepping stones set into a soft green lawn. The design maintains a traditional feel while incorporating a contemporary, clean walkway to the entrance, enhancing the home's curb appeal.

A new stone wall, made of on site native stone, separates the entry court from the auto court. Reclaimed granite slabs used as stepping stones create a rhythmic pathway to the a central urn focal point set within a cobble circle. The plantings soften the hardscape, creating seasonal beauty and a focus on the entry to the home.

The front elevation shows the formal entry to the house. A stone path the the side leads to an informal entry. Set into a slope, the front of the house faces a hill covered in wildflowers. The pool house is set farther down the hill and can be seem behind the house. Photo by: Daniel Contelmo Jr.
