In 2017 my wife and I hired Pacific Outdoor Living to replace our old asphalt driveway in poor condition with a new paving stone driveway. We were particularly concerned with improving the drainage of water on the driveway after a rainfall. Water had previously tended to congregate in a corner adjacent to our house. The sales agent helped with the design of the new driveway, and the execution of the project was well-managed. Now nearly eight years later we remain very pleased with the paving stone driveway. Drainage is excellent, and the driveway has required virtually no maintenance to keep it looking the way it did when first completed.

We went with Pacific Outdoor Living because of their name recognition and hopes of having a "one stop shop" experience. And what we got was just that...top shelf service and products. From Design to Finish, they helped us realize our dream backyard. Would not only recommend, but would use them again for future outdoor projects.

We highly recommend Pacific Outdoor Living for any landscaping needs. I have a ranch style house but I wanted a Japanese influenced garden in the front. John Durso and his professional crew took this as a personal challenge and came up with a beautiful wooden bridge over a flowing rock river, stone lanterns, a granite bowl with a bamboo dripping spout. Even 10 years later, the plants have grown in and we still have the best yard in the neighborhood. The crew was professional and very knowledgeable, we couldn't be happier with the results.

After interviewing a few contractors about grading and paving my steep driveway and replacing my concrete back patio and installing drains out to the road, I opted to work with Pacific Outdoor Living. The strategy that Craig laid out made perfect sense, he advised on everything the guys were going to do and when the guys got here, that's exactly what they did. So fast-forward today roughly 8 years later, and the pavers still look amazing and level and the drains still function like they should. Excellent company. Professional from start to end. Ken was my salesman and Jorge was the jobsite coordinator. Both were knowledgeable, timely, and personable. Pacific Outdoor Living has their own fleet of trucks and their onsite workers are employees of the company, which was important to me. The skill level of the installation crew was also excellent. At the end of each day, the jobsite was cleaned up and everything was put away. I had my driveway, front walkway, and patios installed in the front and side of my home. Along with this, the front porch, steps, and a sitting area were completely redone. It looks amazing. When it came time to match the stucco on my house around the new porch, you can't tell the difference. Great match. Upon completion of the job, we did a walkthrough and any changes I requested were taken care of in a reasonable amount of time. The price for the job was fair - not the highest nor the lowest bid.

We’ve had POL do three projects for us: drainage and pavers around our yard; new driveway with drainage; and redo our backyard with new sod, irrigation, and replace some grass area with appropriate plants. All three were well done and they have been responsive to our input and have stood behind their work.

Pacific Outdoor Living did a fantastic job replacing my driveway and front lawn! They completely designed and architected the replacements, removed the existing concrete, lawn, and plantings, installed new driveway drainage, pavers (made at their own local factory), and planted and installed a Xeriscape front yard along with lighting, drip irrigation, sprinkler controller and lighting controller. It was a tremendous amount of work, but the result is excellent and makes me happy every time I look at it (which is every day). The cost was on the high end of our range but it was worth every penny. Best of all, they kept me in the loop as they worked on the project to resolve any unexpected issues on the spot. Count me as a fan!

I first heard about Pacific Outdoor Living from their beautiful work at a Pasadena Showcase House event. We asked them to elevate our backyard cracked concrete patio with pavers. Working with them was easy. Delivery of material, quality of the material and the workmanship was excellent. We couldn’t have been happier with the completed work. We enjoyed our patio for years. We have since sold our home and strongly believe the project done by Pacific increased the value of our home.

I dithered for years about what to do with my back yard. I could never get a lawn to flourish there, so it ended up a weedpatch and an eyesore -- I never let any guests see it. When I finally made up my mind to pave it over, I checked out a number of websites & chose Pacific Outdoor Living on the basis of the look of the jobs they had done. I was kind of surprised by how I pleased I was with the job they did, and by how easy they were to work with. They genuinely entered into what I wanted, made suggestions that I readily agreed to, and got the job done neatly and promptly. The yard now looks beautiful (Tuscan Courtyard Stone, random ashlar pattern, in case you wondered) and, hey, somehow larger than I imagined it to be!

I had a very extensive backyard project that involved new tile, replastering the pool and building a new outdoor kitchen. The Pacific Outdoor team was incredible. I was always kept inform of the status of the project at all times. Open Communication is a key strength of Pacific Outdoors. No surprises unlike how many other construction firms operate. The project manager — Khalil — went beyond what is expected so many times that he created a new standard of construction excellence. He is an incredible asset to Pacific Outdoors. POL installed a pond, surrounded by pavers, and matching driveway pavers on a property I manage/ed 12 years ago. All areas are still looking great! The pond was designed to be self sustaining with plants, fish and waterfall. I have not needed to clean the pond since installation. Each element is doing its job. Very low maintenance and very please! The pavers look as the did when installed. No settling or shifting. Great Job!

Our goal: To re-fresh of our backyard replacing an old patio, concrete and basketball court with a more relaxed pergola, pavers, lighting, new BBQ area and gardens. To be honest, my wife and I chose Pacific Outdoor Living (POL) for their impressive reviews, a good move on our side. To start the process, we walked into POL unannounced thinking we would get a feel for their operation 1st hand and maybe set-up a future meeting (really not expecting anything else). What we got was nothing but professionalism, a welcoming staff, a short tour, their philosophies and even an introduction to the owner and our eventual Designer Samantha. We immediately made plans to meet with Samantha the following week. Samantha was really good (smart, full of ideas and patient) at understanding our vision as well as painting a picture in our heads what the finished project might look like. She guided us through the whole process, including permitting, landscaping, a new pergola, different paver options, the benefits of lighting, financial pros and cons and eventually a completed design (which we loved). The initial walk through and demo all were completed on the same day. From there our coordinator Jorge seamlessly worked with the various drainage experts, pavers, landscapers, carpenters, BBQ installer, electricians, gas line re-routing experts, permitting, etc. He worked hard following through on all issues, including getting around a couple of rainstorms and coordinating a finish carpenter/painter (Cornelio) to finish-off the rest of the hardscaping on schedule. Luis handled the overall landscaping. He and his staff are our go-to experts, including his plant/planting ideas and a watering plan that would get us through the summer heat. Luis without a doubt has exceeded our expectations by coming by every once in a while, to make sure all the plants are doing well. Very much appreciated. I waited many years to tackle the renovation of my backyard space. A small slope in the backyard, drainage issues, a 60 year old patio cover and inconsistent hardscape had to be addressed. So many 'moving pieces' to the project (design, demolition, irrigation, hardscape, landscaping, etc.!!) left me feeling 'stuck'. Then I learned about Pacific Outdoor Living while visiting a Pasadena Showcase House. I spoke with their representative and learned, yes, they work on tract homes like mine, not just mansions. I could see their work was special, but upon learning Pacific Outdoor Living handles each phase of your project with their in-house crew AND were able to work within my budget constraints I was all in. I hit it off immediately with my designer, Samantha. She explained the entire process and presented me with design solutions perfect for my situation. I felt very confident putting my trust in POL. My project required demolition of the patio cover, existing concrete and removal of flagstones. POL graded my backyard to provide more valuable space for entertaining and a more cohesive look that 'flows' beautifully. The attention to detail was stunning. Grading was with completed so that water would drain correctly into new drains. New pavers were installed expertly. In all phases of the project all areas of my home were protected from damage (think jack hammer and regrading and dirt removal!) The team for each phase arrived at my home at the time expected throughout the project. After each day of work, the areas were cleaned and equipment stowed. All questions were answered promptly. Staff were top notch in their work as well as friendly and personable. It was clear from the beginning a happy customer is the goal with POL. Big thank you to Samantha, Jorge, Trent and Jesus and the many others! I had neighbors stopping by during the work to comment on the speed and professionalism they could witness as bystanders of the project. Start to finish the work was complete in 3 weeks including new flagstone pathway, landscaping and irrigation for an area in my front yard. Its gorgeous! My backyard has been completely transformed. Lots of jaw dropping from my friends when they see the result. The view to my yard is absolutely glorious, my dream space! I couldn't be happier. And there's more. Following the completion of my work I have had a few minor issues, a leaky sprinkler, a tweak needed with my new sprinkler controller. POL continues to answer my inquiries and respond quickly to resolve any issue that pops up. You may find a lower cost solution, but I highly doubt the end result would be the same as with Pacific Outdoor Living.

Pacific Outdoor Living did an upgrade/renovation of the patio at my condo in May 2024. I am extremely pleased with the result and highly recommend this company from start to finish. The first step was that someone came out to evaluate the space, make measurements, and take photographs. These were handed off to Julian, the designer who worked with me. Julian did a great job finding out through a personal meeting what I was hoping to achieve. He offered a number of suggestions but in the end guided me towards what I wanted. He then developed high quality, detailed drawings indicating exactly what he proposed, right down to the tiles, bushes and plants, and fountain. Once we settled on the design, a key step was having an experienced gentleman (owner?) and "job boss" come out with Julian on site and talk through in detail what was proposed. For my project, this turned out to be crucial because the experienced guy quickly determined that what had been proposed would not work due to unforeseen structural issues involving the subterranean garage. Although this set back the project start date by a few weeks in order to re-plan some things, in the end it was worth every minute of delay because it avoided potentially catastrophic results I would have been liable for with the HOA. Julian came up with fine alternative suggestions. Once the work started, the whole team was competent and professional. One noticeable thing about Pacific Outdoor Living is that this company is large enough that they have a full complement of their own workers, each group highly specialized - one for the demolition and tear out, another one for leveling the site, another for laying the tile, another for installing the bushes and plants, and even more for the electrical and plumbing. The end result is that everyone is an expert and efficient because they are specialized. The "job boss," Jorge, was outstanding. He made sure the everything was coordinated and stayed in close communication with me about decisions that came up along the way, as they inevitably do in a project like this. Once the work started, there was only ONE day where someone wasn't there working--otherwise, over the roughly 3 week period, they were ALWAYS there getting something done. The work area was always neat as a pin at the end of the day, The pricing is transparent and their business office provides clear documentation at every step. There were no surprises. At the very end, we needed to adjust the "bottom line" due to a few changes that were made, and they were fully responsive and fair in doing so. I would say that if a person wanted to spend a lot of time hunting around it is possible you might find someone willing to say they'll do your project for less, don't bother. Whatever little you might be able to save isn't worth it. All in all, I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome and I am happy to recommend Pacific Outdoor Living. These people are professionals and know what they are doing!

Pacific Outdoor Living did a complete remodel of our front, side, and back yards about two years ago, and they did a wonderful job. They removed the old grass and replaced it with turf. They also extensively re-graded the backyard and installed underground drainage. New outdoor lighting was installed, and they put in a large drip sprinkler system. They poured concrete in the front and the backyard as well as a remodel and redesign of all of the landscape in our backyard. They removed a large unsightly water feature and redesigned it into a beautiful small pond. They poured a deep concrete foundation for a Jacuzzi and installed beautiful design features, incorporating large stones into the edges of the turf. They went above and beyond to suggest great design ideas along the way. The work they did is beautiful, and the service was great. The workers were on time, efficient, and personable. We would recommend Pacific Outdoor Living to anyone doing smaller or larger jobs in their yard

Jeff, Leonard and all the workers are the BEST !! My new yard is my favorite place to hang out. They listened to my dream, took into consideration my budget and gave me what I asked for. They also completed it when they said they would ( that never happens). The workers were nice as well as respectful of my space. They even put up with my naughty dogs when necessary. If I ever decide to do my front yard I will definitely be calling them back.

A professional company. Time lines, contract all laid out, explained and followed. Communication was easy. A phone call away, with a follow up at my house, if needed, in a timely fashion to address any concerns. I am more than pleased with the quality of the work: 20’x6’ pergola, leveling of areas, adding weed cloth and pea gravel / rocks to paths and areas. Workers were respectful of my property and neighborhood. This is not a “fly by your seat” landscaping company. Money well spent.

Pacific Outdoor Living did a lot of landscaping for me about 18 years ago and it still looks good! They installed pavers for my walkways, porches, driveway, fountain area and around my pool. There has been a little settlement in a couple of places around my pool decking, I guess because the pool was newly built and it's been awhile. I remember they were very professional and did a great job. I called them to ask if they could help me with the settlement issues, and Jesse and one of his crew members came to check out my pavers. Turns out, the crew member that came with Jesse remembered my job! These guys were really great to work with and Jesse and his associate were very professional and friendly. Jesse told me they no longer have the exact pavers so they will have to work delicately with the existing pavers. Jesse quoted me a reasonable price to do the repair, and we got it scheduled right away. Jesse sent out Emilio to do the repair. Emilio really knows his stuff! This guy was so detailed and precise, I was amazed! He was able to remove the pavers in the settlement areas, and set them back so the job looked like there was never an issue. These guys are really professional and serious when it comes to making you happy with a professional finished product. I am very tough to satisfy, very detail-oriented, and ask a ton of questions. Yet Pacific Outdoor impressed me at every stage of the project. It’s a company with a culture that listens and wants to please. It has the knowledge and the talent to do so. There are precious few companies with Pacific's breath and depths of capabilities. They have specialized teams for each function, and a supervisor over each team, as well as an overall project supervisor. The set up is perfect since the result is high-quality, competent work, efficiently provided. Pacific’s teams couldn't have been better. Julian was the lead designer and coordinated the preparation of the plans. He listened and created, and it was a collaborative effort. Juan was the overall manager, and was terrific. He was the glue that held the project together, and I couldn't have had a better person in this role. All of the team supervisors and their teams also were exceptional. Luis for demolition had a large team and was incredibly organized and efficient. Another Luis for landscaping was extraordinarily knowledgeable, helpful, creative and accommodating. His team did incredible work with a large variety of beautiful plants, irrigation, grass, a dry river bed, and amazing lighting. Enrique is a master mason, building beautiful flagstone decks and an amazing firepit. Martin did a terrific job creating a beautiful large paver pool deck and gorgeous coping around the pool. The pool and spa alone had multiple teams for tiling and pebble resurfacing. And then the pergola/balcony team did wonders. Lots of people, each group skilled in their trade. The result: I now have a dreamworld outside to live in, day and night. I couldn't be happier, and Pacific could not have provided more value than they did. They exceeded my expectations. This hard-to-satisfy, demanding person is beyond satisfied. I highly recommend them.

We hired Pacific Outdoor Living in October 2020, after living in the house for about 30 years. The did a complete backyard renovation converting a relatively unusable sloped backyard with a very small patio into a 2 tiered outdoor entertaining showpiece with room to host and entertain 20+ people. We couldn't be happier with their ideas and design for the space. The design also made the relatively small backyard feel much bigger. Their designers had great ideas to make the space more functional and beautiful. They graded a much bigger patio (removing 3 dump truck loads of dirt), put in a short retaining/seat wall, paving stones, outdoor kitchen, firepit, pad for an above ground jacuzzi, drainage, irrigation, landscaping, and lighting. It was completed in about 6 weeks start to finish, on schedule, working 6 days a week. They cleaned up at the end of each day and hauled away the debris as it was created. The project manager kept us informed all along the way, and had some great "tweaks" to the plans that they did on the fly with our approval. Three years later everything still looks great, the drainage works perfectly, and the plants are thriving. They also stand behind their work. We had one light in a step fail about 2 years after completion. They sent a guy out to replace it promptly under warranty. One thing that separates POL from others is that they have all their own crews and equipment. There are no subcontractors or related delays. On my project their Bobcat broke down one Saturday morning. They sent their in-house mechanic out to fix it and had it up and running again in a few hours, allowing them to continue the grading without any delays. It is a joy to be able to entertain in the backyard, or just enjoy it ourselves. My only regret is that I didn't do the project sooner!!!!

I actually used Pacific Outdoor Living for two different backyards. They first upgraded my backyard in Studio City. They gave me a beautiful new driveway, revamped a pond I had in the yard, and generally made it feel like a backyard oasis. We sold that home quickly mostly due to the beautiful yard. When we moved into a new home in Burbank which had a backyard made mostly of damaged and dangerous concrete, I called Pacific Outdoor Living immediately. They turned that into a beautiful oasis as well with fruit trees and so much beautiful grass and flowers and plants - it was unrecognizable! Highly recommend them to anyone whose backyard needs help.

I was the property manager and the owners couldn’t be happier with the results! Pacific Outdoor started the project on our backyard and front yard upgrade in early 2022, and by August of the same year, we had a whole new outdoor space to enjoy. The transformation is seriously impressive — we've got a bigger pool, a chill hot tub, a cozy fire pit, a large bar, a cool BBQ setup, a beautiful deck, a lush of lovely flowers all around, and more! Throughout the project, Trent and his crew kept us informed every step of the way. I can't recommend them enough!

We chose Pacific Outdoor Living for an extensive and multi-faceted backyard and front yard renovation. In the backyard the large pergola over the patio was removed, and a new patio cover was constructed. The cement was demolished and new pavers installed. We added lighting and ceiling fans. The pool plaster was cracking and POL arranged for the pool to be resurfaced and then recommended a pool man who could handle the acid wash and start up procedure. The putting green was in need of repair, and POL put in a new one, and recommended a contractor to replace our sport court surface. In the front yard, our brick walkway was cracked and in need of replacement. POL took care of that. The irrigation system in the back and front yards needed to be overhauled, and POL installed drip lines where needed, and replaced all sprinklers as well as the automatic timer. Additional landscape lighting was added in front and back which enhanced the property because our town has no streetlights and is very dark. We changed and added plants and trees throughout our landscape in front and back. POL helped us achieve our dream landscape, including new sod for the lawns, and then made sure we knew what to do to maintain it. POL planned the phases in our project with excellent crews specializing in each area of work, and made sure that each phase followed the one before with a minimum of delay. We are so pleased with the results - we have a backyard perfect for entertaining and family enjoyment and a front yard that is beautiful. I have the rose and flower garden that I always wanted as well as fruit trees that produce all year long. We would recommend POL for anyone needing to accomplish any or all of these phases. The planning process was helpful and thorough, and the execution was very professionally done - with a minimum of disruption and no damage to our property. The contractors were careful and skillful and extremely respectful. Start to finish, the project took about 6 months during 2020-2021 including the planning.

POL did a complete redo of my backyard. They went from a blank canvas to a beautiful yard with pavers, waterfall and koi pond, a outdoor kitchen , new sod, landscaping and lighting. I also have 2 basalt fountains!! I could not be more pleased. The designer I worked with, Justin was absolutely wonderful!! He was patient, answered my many questions and captured what I wanted, better than I could have imagined. POL started my project with an estimated completion of 10 weeks. Notwithstanding all the rain, the crews worked tirelessly every day. They cleaned up each day. The project manager, Jorge and the landscaper were great to work with as well. Having been in our home for some time we knew about numerous issues that needed to be addressed. The backyard would flood during the rains as water came down from the mountains. The pool finish was old and disintegrating. The irrigation was old, galvanized pipes and needed to be replaced. And the overall aesthetic was rustic and the yard unusable. We needed a completely new design. We worked closely with a few different companies including paying their design fees and working with their designers and planners. Some of the estimates were lower and some were higher than POL. There were two main things that made us decide to use POL. When we went to their office we spoke with Samantha and that went similarly to the other outfits but during our visit it became clear that the organization behind her was impressive and that our design was a team effort. They were very professional and knowledgeable and had expertise in design, project planning, permitting, and estimating. The second thing that convinced us was that they had the workforce and trades in house needed to complete much of the project without juggling our schedule with the schedules of numerous subcontractors. Once the project started, working closely with Trent was an absolute joy. He has expertise in the project details and in planning and scheduling that made everything smooth and gave us a clear idea of what to expect day by day. Like any project, there were some things that needed to be tweaked and some changes that we decided to implement. Their ability to estimate and clearly document change orders that we wanted made the process very smooth. We feel that we got a very fair deal for scope of work. The quality of the work in each of the phases and areas of work was also top notch. From the demo to the infrastructure plan and build (drainage and drainpipes, water supply pipes, gas pipes), to the finish work (pavers, deck, pool, pergola) their experience and workmanship left nothing to be desired. Altogether, our project from start to finish, it took about two months of work. We are very happy with our new yard and highly recommend POL to anybody looking to turn their backyard into a resort destination. We have already recommended them to people and would work with them again without hesitation.

I had a large asphalt driveway that needed to be replaced. It is wide, steep, and had invasive bamboo sprouting from cracks. It was a mess. To make matters worse, it is highly visible from the street. In addition, parts of the pad at the top were inclined toward the garage, allowing water to seep in when it rained. We contacted Pacific Outdoor Living for a quote. As work progressed i decided to ask about a large pool and deck that needed major repair and replacement. The deck was a mix of broken and repaired cement and the electrical under it was blowing circuit breakers when wet. The pool was leaking, and the fiberglass lining was buckling. It too was a dangerous mess. Once we signed the contract, they gave us an anticipated start date and end date. To my surprise, they met both commitments and completed the project within the estimated cost. With their design help, It is now a pool that make me proud. In addition, they worked with the city to obtain necessary permits and inspections. This is our third major renovation of the area, and nobody came close to the finished product we now have. I was astounded by their conscientious workers and their skill in solving problems as they invariably arise in a large project. I’ve have received numerous positive comments about the work, and have happily recommended them to friends.

We had our backyard remodeled, which included pool installation, pergola build, and driveway paving. Our designer Julian was able to create the backyard that we envisioned and our project manager Trent made sure the whole process was smooth & efficient. They completely transformed our old blah grey concrete patio! We called Pacific Outdoor Living and Craig came out to our house and gave us several ideas within our budget. We worked with Pacific Outdoor Living in 2022 and are so glad we did. They helped us create a design for a hill in our backyard and edging design around the property to create a great space we can enjoy. Two years later, the plants have grown more and get beautiful flowers. The drip line uses about 1/3 water we used to. The team we worked with was helpful to lay out ideas and select plants that would grow well in our CA climate. The team did a lot of work to remove old plants, lay a new irrigation system and plant a beautiful canvas of color. We love looking out at the hill from our patio.

My wife and I were tired of looking at the same old front yard, we spent months searching the web, talking to friends, and driving by houses of yards that we admired. After all this time vested we saw a few of our neighbors with the POL sign out front and decided to engage them for a quote. Initially we had interviewed a few others but once we started working with POL we knew right away that there intake and design process was what we were looking for, they asked us the questions we felt important to make decisions on the overall design and build time that others did not, a true hand-holding approach that we needed. We had decided to install New walls, walkway, artificial turf, lot of drought tolerant plants, lighting etc. Their team is all in-house and they did a great job. Trent, the production Manager noticed very early on that the street elevation could cause flooding onto my property. He had the plan revised to take care of that. The last rain we had was tremendous but my front yard weathered through well. We did have gravel wash out in the front at curb but with the torrent of rain we had, I expected something might happen. The street was a river! I whole-heartily recommend POL for a complete design-build firm. They were fast, responsive and expert builders. You get what you pay for!

A few years ago we needed to landscape our front yard. We chose Pacific Outdoor and were so happy with the results (and to this day, people who walk past our house compliment the landscape). I liked Pacific Outdoor because once the work began, everything was clockwork. Upon demolition of the yard, the next crew immediately came in to do their part of the job and then the next crew came until the project was completed. If there were any problems, Pacific Outdoor immediately responded. When it was time to landscape our back yard, we naturally chose Pacific Outdoor again. Justin was the PM and we were so happy with the results. We had a sump pump installed and it has since prevented flooding that previously occurred in our backyard with heavy rain. Once again, the project was completed on time and is beautiful.

We used Pacific Outdoor Living to do a complete remodel of both front and back yard. After 100% removal of all existing (except mature trees) landscaping, POL did extensive hard scape including built in fire pit, outdoor kitchen, flagstone deck, new concrete, 100% drip irrigation, led lighting and more than 200 new plants. The design was exceptional and the final result was way beyond expectations. As importantly, they were done in a simply amazing 5 1/2 weeks at a very fair price!

Our backyard was all dirt with an old pool. We used POL to install drainage and pavers throughout the back, as well as remodel our pool. They did an INCREDIBLE job. Everyone has been blown away. We had a small problem with one of the drains and a pressure valve, but they came right out to fix them. Hoping to use them when we're ready to start work on the front yard!

We recently bought a home in the valley, and we knew that the yard needed a bit of work. The piping in the backyard was corroded and needed to be replaced. The pool finish was coming off, and the irrigation wasn't working well enough to support a yard in the front. We needed a complete overhaul. We reached out to a few different companies. POL had a small upfront fee for measurements and an initial illustration, but the bang for the buck compared to the other companies we talked to was night and day. We sat down with Julian at their office, talked through what we wanted, shared what type of styles we liked, and he went to work. Our first rendering was a very professional layout of our yard's potential. How organized and thorough they were off the bat was enough to convince us these were the right guys to go with. They weren't the cheapest option, but it was clear they were the most professional. Once we locked down the schematics for the yard, we did an in-person walkthrough with Trent Morrill and Juan Horta. They walked us through all the work that would be done and talked to us about some of our options. I recommend if you're not sure what they are talking about, just ask. They explained everything to me, we got to an agreement, and kicked off. From start to finish, it took about two months of work, which could have been even quicker if it hadn't been for the rain while the work was scheduled. Juan Horta and his team completely redid the front yard, backyard, courtyard, and pool. This included updating the pipes, adding drains, and putting up a pergola. My wife and I work from home, so we kept an eye on all of the work being done, which honestly, isn't a bad thing to do because there were times we wanted something shifted or we wanted to upgrade, and Juan and Luis were always helpful in making the necessary changes. My wife and I are very happy with our new yards. If you're looking at your options, I recommend paying the upfront fee to have Pacific Outdoor Living come through and do measurements and an initial schematic. The measurements alone were worth the money in case you wanted to shop around. All of our other competitor bids were cheaper because we could provide detailed measurements. It's a no-brainer in hindsight, and we ended up liking POL the best anyway. 5 Stars, I've recommended them to friends, and I'd work with them again in a heartbeat.

POL sold and installed a San Juan Pools swimming pool and Spa for us in SoCal I would absolutely recommend them for any outdoor project you need. Clean, professional and Quality work.

We were very fortunate to find and engage the services of Pacific Outdoor Living for a large front yard project. The whole construction proceeded so smoothly and stress free it actually took us a bit by surprise as we were just recovering from a bit of a nightmare situation with the previous project. Samantha was a pleasure to work with. Kind and patient with all our revisions and specifications. Enrique and Luis (?) and their teams were courteous , professional, and their workmanship meticulous. The brick wall is really beautiful and exactly the look we envisioned. I would like to give a special shout out to Scott the contractor. He was really wonderful to work with. After renovating our new home, we took a pause before we tackled the front and back yards. We cast a pretty wide net in terms of trying to find a landscaping company, and while there were plenty of excellent candidates who all had compelling visions for our space, we ultimately decided on Pacific Outdoor Living. It was definitely the right decision for us. For the first step of the process, we worked with our designer Samantha, who came up with a number of ideas and we chose the one which best suited what we were looking for. Previously, the back was an unshaded, intermittently grassy space with poor drainage. She returned with a design that included drought resistant plants, new drainage to prevent an unwanted pool from forming in the yard from heavy rains (which happened in spring of 2023!), a path going through the yard, and a space for a fire pit in the corner. For the front yard, which for year before had apparently been a barren patch of dirt with a dying tree, she created a nice layout of similar drought resistant plants, as well as a path leading to the back yard along the side of the house, and a new path to the front door which is a beautiful mixture of concrete paving stones and Mexican beach pebbles. We worked with her to make some adjustments along the way, and she gave us some excellent ideas we never thought about, and we were able to come to a final plan that worked. We gave them the go-ahead from there. During the project, we worked primarily with Jorge, who was overseeing the whole thing and would periodically come out all the way out here from Sun Valley (we're almost in Calabasas) to see how things were progressing. He stayed on top of things diligently, to the point that when an issue with drain runoff washing away part of the side path came up six months AFTER the project ended, he came out here and had a team handle it immediately. We also worked with Jesus, who was overseeing more specifically the plants being integrated into the space and also was always there to answer questions and check in. One part of the project I had to include was the pergola they were able to get for us, which is a perfect size, has a sun shade incorporated into it on one side, and adjustable shutters on the roof, to shield us on those summer days with the sun is blazing down from directly overhead. As for others we worked with at POL, I have to mention Stephanie, Joseline, and Matthew at the office in Sun Valley, who covered a lot of other questions we had, and who are absolute professionals in terms of being detail-oriented and absolutely pleasant. One overall takeaway is we had budget concerns from the start with our project, and had worried based on other estimates from other companies that we wouldn't be able to do what we wanted. With POL, they returned with a project that actually hit our budget mark almost exactly, gave us a beautiful space to enjoy, one that is the perfect finishing touch on our home. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed working with Pacific Outdoor Living and love our backyard remodel! We installed new pavers, artificial turf, a curb wall for fence installation, resurfaced our pool with mini pebble, retiled our pool, installed new automated pool equipment and added a waterfall feature. They were patient with us during the design process as we asked for estimates for things that we didn't end up doing because they were out of budget. They may be more expensive than hiring different subcontractors yourself to do each separate area but it was worth it to just deal with one person managing the job, the permits and use qualified subcontractors that they know do good work. We used a separate contractor for a new louvered pergola because we wanted a particular brand with screens but pacific outdoor worked with them to get the permit inspection and pavers done around it. We are very happy with how the backyard turned out.

The team at Pacific Outdoor Living was exceptional from start to finish. The level of professionalism was apparent with each worker we had on our site. They were the exception to the rule. On time, kept with the schedule, CLEAN, friendly and even made some simple additions and did not charge us for them. I would highly recommend this company.

They discussed all of their ideas, gave me options, drew up a very specific plan and gave me an accurate and detailed price to fit my budget. I have used Pacific Outdoor Living to install paving stones on 3 separate occasions...the first was my driveway, which was such a game changer, I hired them again a few years later to do the driveway at our other house. Once again, they did such an incredible job and it looked so great - we had strangers asking us who we hired to do the work. The third time I hired them to install a pathway in our side yard and pavers in our back yard with steps leading to a back door. We also had them to create a pathway in the backyard of our other house. They went above and beyond the call of duty by helping me install a French drain and gravel in an adjacent area - something they didn't need to do, but they did. You just don't see service like that anymore! No corners cut, everything done right. Each time we hired them, they took the time to survey the areas, take measurements and plot it all out in advance so that the installation was nothing short of perfection. To say that they do an outstanding job is really an understatement. They are incredibly professional and proficient in what they do. I am always careful to do my research and look at all my options and each time I have come back to Pacific Outdoor Living because they are simply the best. I trust them to do a great job and 3 times later they have never disappointed me. We have used Pacific Outdoor Living for our landscaping needs several times now, and are consistently pleased with the outcome!! We have done two major projects, first the backyard, and two years later, the front. We love the way they consulted with us first, to brainstorm...and to find out what we really wanted to achieve. Then, they worked with us to come up with a beautiful plan, and it all came out looking just like they promised it would!! On top of that, Pacific Outdoor Living has remained available to come back if anything needed to be tweaked or replanted, and have been very responsive any time we've had a question. We highly recommend them!!

For the most part we had a good experience with Pacific Outdoor Living. The details in their planning and prep made it easy for us to decide on what we would like for our yard and what would work best for our yard. They completed the project in a timely manner and even came back a few times to check on their work and the growth of our yard. They even touched up some areas that rain had ruined. The reason for 4 stars, is the communication during the actual construction process. Sometimes they didn't show up when scheduled. I would have to reach out to them to see what was going on. But over all I would recommend Pacific Outdoor Living. We get compliments all the time on our yard!

They are hands down the best, most reliable company for any outdoor project. We moved into a new home last December and with record rainfall in the months that followed, we learned very quickly that our new property had major drainage issues. The previous owners had also let invasive trees and plants grow all over the property, creating a massive root system under our .3 acre property. The projects seemed so overwhelming and daunting, but when we found POL, we knew it would be worth the extra cost for a reliable company that could take care of the necessary underground problems while also making it beautiful on the surface. From the beginning, Samantha, our designer, did an incredible job of taking our words and inspiration photos to create a design exactly in line with what we wanted. Even though the full project wasn’t in our budget at the time, we then worked together to decide on phases and prioritize what needed to get done immediately and what we could do later. Trent, the owner of the company was involved in the project very closely and did everything he could to figure out the best and most cost effective solutions for our drainage issues. Jorge, our project manager, was incredible. He was very communicative and present from the beginning to the end, and also has a great sense of humor. Any problems that arose during the process, Jorge and Trent went above and beyond to communicate with us and to find a solution - even when the problems weren’t their responsibility. Since everything is done in house instead of subcontracting out, you can see the pride that every worker takes in the job. They are fast and efficient but they get the job done the right way and the end result looks fantastic. They are truly an honest and trustworthy company and we would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Wow! We are so happy with our new driveway and front yard landscaping from Pacific Outdoor Living. Our project included; design, demo of existing large driveway and front walk, concrete forming, pavers, irrigation and landscape. I picked POL because of their YELP reviews and pictures. Overall: Pacific Outdoor Living was responsive, professional, clear with communications, and provided great value. All the teams were respectful of our property, highly-skilled, and lovely people. One detail about this company that makes them great to work with is that all of their crews are in-house.This made the process feel very well-informed the whole way through. We knew exactly what was happening and when and each crew seemed to grasp the project well before starting work. Details and Shoutouts: Justin Sun was our designer and he knocked it out of the park. We provided fairly clear communications on basic needs, a Pinterest board of styles we enjoyed, and a google presentation of who we were as people. He took that and provided an initial design that fit us perfectly! In our consultation, he suggested some changes that showed him for the design superstar he is (for instance, he suggested a ramp instead of stairs when he learned that I move large items in and out of the house many times a week). He took our small feedback items and made great adjustments. Juan Horta was our project manager. We were given an estimated 6 week timeline and they finished about a week early. Juan communicated clearly with my husband via text and calls and was very responsive to questions. Luis Suarez was in charge of the landscape crew and they were awesome! I love gardening and the crew was SO patient with me. They checked in before placing plants and rocks to make sure I was happy. They did a wonderful job without my input, but it was really special for me to be able to make those minor adjustments for my specific taste. Invoicing department was easy to work with and polite; they even asked for pictures of the project just so they could see! Front office/scheduling were great and even had reserved a parking space for us when we came in for consultations. We will work with Pacific Outdoor again. Many neighbors ask for their number and random people passing by on the street give the yard compliments. High quality and timeliness; you definitely get what you pay for. Project came in on-budget.

I highly recommend this company to anyone thinking or ready to getting a pool. Glenn my sales rep was hands on and David customer service rocks. Everyone in the company is amazing. 2 years later checking in on how things are going is really cool. I have no problems with my pool. the fact the company reaching out and wanting to make sure everything is still good means a lot. Again highly recommended these guys are awesome.

We are so happy we worked with Pacific Pavingstone to do our pool deck. The process was smooth from start to finish. My project estimator, Ken Avner, was prompt, professional, knowledgeable and had great suggestions which helped me keep my project within my budget. The installation team similarly was knowledgeable, professional, and prompt. The pavers look great. I wish I had used Pacific Outdoor Living for everything in my project, they made everything run smoothly, on time and on budget, with no nickel and dime surprises and delays. I have already contacted them about additional work.

I very much enjoyed my experience with Pacific Outdoor Living. My wife found them on Houzz because of their beautiful gallery. We liked the diversity of the photos so we decided to reach out. We remodeled our walkway and driveway, it took 3 days and we couldn't be happier with it. Our neighbors keep asking us for their contact info, it is a hit throughout the entire neighborhood.

We just finished a giant remodel of our backyard and everything from start to finish was excellent! Andrew did a fabulous job with our design and really incorporated the features we wanted and listened to our needs. The landscaping crew was also terrific. We had great communication with the crew and everything was well scheduled and coordinated for maximum efficiency. There was no wasted time and our project was completed in a timely manner. Our project took about 4 weeks to install and we did some regrading, demo, pavers installed, and added new irrigation, plants, and turf too. The crew was respectful and clean as well. We had a great experience and look forward to working with them again.

Before going to them for our paving stones at their subsidiary company we had our landscaping done a few years back. I have to say that what really impressed me most with this were the designers they had. I ended up going with the one who had the most similar style to what i was looking for. i was happy with the project because it fit my budget and still looked good. They took out our old pergola, which opened up the space a lot, put in some nice shade trees, and re did all of the grass. We use the backyard all of the time ever since!

This is a fantastic company that saved our home. They do everything you might need to spruce up your yard, but we needed some hardscape and plants. Very happy with the process they have for clients. I would recommend them.

We were very impressed with every aspect of Pacific Outdoor Living's service, from the design phase consultations to the final completion of work. If anything, things went TOO fast and we didn't fully absorb and react to some changes (that we requested. Again, completely on us) before they were implemented. The quality of the work is superb, and we are happy with the results. The crew was responsive, courteous, and completed the work under the amount of time estimated.

After getting a couple of estimates, we decided to go with Pacific outdoor Living, Ken our sales rep. was very helpful designing our backyard, the price was competitive and the job was done on a timely manner, the project manager and the crew were professional and they did a clean job. We are very happy with their work.

Amazing customer service and product! I can't even tell you how many companies we looked at before deciding on POL. From start to finish everything was great- Zach was prompted both when meeting in person and over the phone and via email. Lalo was on site and was also fantastic to work with. The finished product is exactly what we were looking for and then some. I cannot recommend these guys enough!

After several estimates, we chose this company to do our project. Great choice for once! They are on time, efficient, polite and professional. We had paving stones done the original time (Aug of 2012)...a large area. Then a year later (Nov. of 2013) we called them back to put in artificial turf and another paving stone portion. Can't say enough good about the work they do. Everyone seems to know exactly what their job is and each is very good on what they do. Would definitely recommend this company. Our house got a "Home beautification" award with our city this year within our "zone", and also, second runner up for "Home of the year" honors!

This is a long review but if you are considering a pond/water feature in your backyard it may be worth reading the whole thing: I called Pacific Outdoor Living (POL) to put a pond in my backyard and backfill my old one (prior owner did the old pond herself and it was horrible and in the wrong place in the garden). I had already gotten two estimates (for which I was charged $100 and $150 each) when a landscape person I am using recommended POL. I was hesitant at first because it's a bigger company, they have done work at the showcase house and have been featured on HG TV so I figured the price would be out of my budget and much higher than the mom and pop pond installers. But, the estimate is free so I figured I would lose nothing. Ken, the pond designer at POL, came to my house on a Saturday and spent 3 hours with me talking about what I was looking for in a pond, if I wanted something architectural or that looked like a natural pond, he explained how the pond works, upkeep (minimal), he drew a to scale drawing, outlined the physical area, had stones in his truck so I could choose the shade of them I wanted and the price was within a few hundred dollars of the smaller companies (but the result was worth so much more). Ken left me with a detailed quote and drawing (size of pond, perimeter, multiple levels, 5 underwater LED lights, caves for fish to hide from raccoons, some plants for around the pond, mechanical equipment, etc). The other two companies spent only about 1/2 hour with me, didn't provide anything in writing and only later did they send an email with a general description of their work. I knew exactly what I would be getting with POL. I had no idea what I would have gotten with the other companies (they estimated 5-7 days while POL estimated 2 and finished in 2). Lance, the pond crew supervisor at POL and his crew of 4, all employees of POL, showed up on time, didn't just start digging but explained what would happen on day 1 before they started working, were polite, professional and worked very hard. At the end of day 2 I had a gorgeous pond - it was even more beautiful than I anticipated. The crew (Emilio, Walter and Eliah and headed by crew chief, George) is masterful at pond construction. Also, the old pond had to be demolished and backfilled which was not a small task and they did a great job with compacting the soil and leveling the grade of area of the old pond. I cannot recommend Pacific Outdoor Living more unequivocally.

I recently had seismic reinforcement work performed on my rental home which is next door to my own. Because I was so impressed with their work, I asked Alpha Structural to recommend someone to tear out my concrete driveway as well as the area that ran parallel from the street to the alley. They referred me to Pacific Outdoor Living and I could not be happier. They kept in contact with me for the duration of the work, completed it in two days, and sent workmen back to replace white plastic drain caps with brass covers. They were in constant communication, anxious for my satisfaction and have given me a number to call directly to their man, Brian, should any future problems arise. It wasn't cheap, but worth every penny. This is the kind of company that others should strive to be like. A big shout out to pacific outdoor living and also to Alpha Structural who also did an awesome job.

We've just completed a big driveway, garden wall and pond project with pacific outdoor living. We couldn't be happier with the results!!! The pond team was excellent. James, George and the rest of the crew know what they're doing. True pond artists. They were done in three days and gave us a beautiful natural looking water feature that we will definitely enjoy for many, many years. The demo, masonry and driveway paver teams were also great. They arrived on time, worked hard and cleaned up at the end of each day. The whole process was well planned.- They had trucks lined up to haul away all the debris (the driveway alone is over 2700 sq. ft), another one ready to bring in the base layer for the paving stones, etc. So in other words.... no wasted time. Believe me....You don't want to be without a driveway for very long. This crew worked very well together and they genuinely seemed to like one another. I would highly recommend this company. They may cost a little more than the others, but are well worth it.

Long story short, paid them nearly $30K as the salesman touted they are experts at paving hillside driveways. The owner came by weeks later, right before the project was going to start, and demanded more money and that they weren't going to guarantee the work (as the contract stated). I ultimately got my money back but it was a huge waste of time.

Pacific Outdoor Living's installation of pavers, ponds, landscape, etc. is always installed on time, with great care to the customers needs, professionally and artistically. i can always count on them to give an excellent result and carry out projects to completion in a timely manner,.
